Sad bagel with sad cream cheese

Used to come here during my undergrad at Chico State. I absolutely loved this place! The most authentic bagels and the best cream cheese. Literally 5 stars. 5 years later , a new owner and I can't believe the quality of this place has gone down. They say they have the same recipe but the bagels are shit and so thin. The bagels use to be thick. They said they use the same bagel recipe but I highly doubt it, they're probably cutting corners. The cream cheese is watery, it shouldn't even be classified as cream cheese. They put very little cream cheese on my bagel but it managed to make my bagel soggy. What kind of cream cheese does that? It was more like a sauce. My suggestion is if you're going to keep the name Brooklyn Bridge Bagel Works, maybe go to Brooklyn NY and eat a bagel, because this was disgraceful. The service was not great. The woman who took my order didn't greet me and seemed to have an attitude with other customers . The place was ok, they remodeled recently. They wanted to go for a more modern vibe, but honestly I would've focused more on the quality of food than ambience. I wish I could have spent my 7 dollars towards a plane ticket to Brooklyn.

First time here in over 10 years and was disappointed. Had a egg and bacon sandwich and The bagels did not taste fresh, the egg and bacon were fine. The music was loud and club-like for 8am, it was a bit much. I would not come back.

BLT on an everything bagel

My BLT on an everything bagel was soooo good. I'll for sure be craving it again, 10/10 recommend. People are always nice there too :)

First time visiting Chico and wanted a quick breakfast bagel to go! The ambiance was cute. However the breakfast sandwiches were not the best in my opinion. I got the veggie wish sandwich- it just needed more flavour to me. Something was definately missing. Not a fannn. Good thing I took out the cheese because my girlfriend said the bagel she got had way too much cheese.

Food is good but I'm leaving a bad review because this place has some of the rudest employees I've ever met. Also it's overpriced.

Might be difficult to navigate for those with mobility issues, though. It seems to be a popular spot with both young and old patrons. There's an area at the back with what looked like art supplies and things to keep folks entertained. Parking is semi-tight right outside but it's doable even with a midsize SUV. I got there around noon on a Wednesday and it was a little busy but I was the only one in line for about 5 minutes before I ordered and while I ordered. It took a little longer than I expected to get the wrap I ordered, but I didn't mind. The Smokin' Veggie wrap was VERY good, especially when I added some hot sauce (they have several options by the water station at the back)! And it was a great portion, too! I only ate half there and ate the other half later for a late lunch part 2. I had hoped to get a pastry, but I was a bit disappointed with the pastry selection -- it seemed to mostly be muffins and croissants from Costco and Safeway or something. I didn't get a drink this time, but maybe next time. But the wrap was delish! Thanks!

But step inside and you'll find an impressive variety of wraps, smoothies, juices, tacos, superfoods, warm dishes, pastries, espresso drinks and plenty of vegan options. Last winter, their chicken tortilla soup was outstanding--rich, comforting, and full of flavor. On my most recent visit (02/21/2026), I ordered a grilled chicken wrap loaded with alfalfa sprouts, cucumbers, tomatoes, onion, olives, hummus, corn, and cayenne pepper. It was genuinely delicious--a word I don't use lightly for food in Chico. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, portions were generous, and prices were very reasonable. I also tried the "Monkey Power" smoothie with hemp seeds, white chocolate powder, peanut butter, and banana--wow, it was amazing. I truly appreciate the wide selection of vegetables, fruits, superfoods, and nourishing options they offer. Fresh Twisted Cafe has absolutely become one of my favorite spots in Chico.

Service was fantastic, staff was incredibly friendly and brought our drinks to us outside. I had meant for this to be a pit stop for coffee but the outdoor patio was so nice, we ended up sitting in the shade with the pups and taking our time before our looong drive back to SoCal. Black coffee. The beans were from Kenya, which is not my partner's bean country of choice but he said the coffee was good anyway. Oat milk latte. My incredibly particular mom said this was the best latte she's ever had. Dad and I were shook. Iced cinnabon oat milk latte. Surprisingly balanced. Cinnamon forward, which I like, but not overbearing. Lighter on the maple flavor, which I'm grateful for, as maple can get real heavy, real quick for me. Carrot zucchini bread. This was slightly flour-y to my palette, but overall, not bad. Moist, and not too sweet.

Except for the tall doofus that came to the window, he didn't know how to fake it yet so he was just an unprofessional dumbass.
