Came here for a quick dinner with my GF and this was a place she recommended. This was my first time and I have to say there wasn't much of a complaint from me at all. Our server was very friendly and attentive to what we wanted and asked for. I had a blue moon and was drinking it even though it was stale tasting. My GF tasted it and let our server know. He was deeply apologetic got me another beer (Modelo) and then removed the other beer from our tab. I have to say overall the food is ok for some place to eat fast. I meet up with fellow yelpers for an elite event, but not a normal Philly event, more for the Delco goers. I thought this was a great idea for some of us who can't make the Philly events, this gives us a better chance to meet up . Now I am anxious to meet up with everyone, and get this thing rolling with some libations (6) and great conversation. Now with that said lets dive into this like a screaming kid to cotton candy on a humid day! Millers Ale House has two different sections of dinning and bar seating with nothing but sports with one thing in common, great atmosphere. Lets just say coming in if there is a sporting event going on be there at least a half hour to 45 min early. They do get packed inside along with that huge lot in the back , this is a great thing. I started off with a beer sampler for 8.99 with a choice of five 6-8 oz glasses of finely crafted beers. For the beer aficionado this is where you want to be. My 5 suspects which were all guilty, death by consumption were, Leinenkugel Seasonal, Angry Orchard, Rouge Dead Man Ale, Samuel Adams Seasonal , and an Audible. Out of the 5 the Audible was a little weak, but no worries I backed this up with a couple pints of snakebites and we were feeling good (Guinness and Angry Orchard blend) I knew if I kept on enjoying these well crafted beers I would need to soak this up some how and some way, whats the answer for this ? What can makes this an even better combination? How do I compliment these fine drafts , simple the answer is ... WINGS !!! Great googly moogly they were some jacked up , big meaty wings. These are not normal sized wings either, they were the Bruce Banner / Incredible Hulk sized wings, and the best part the meat fell off the bone. All drums, no flappers involved , with the flavor of choice being zesty garlic for the win . GLORIOUS I SAY simply phenomenal one of the best wings around. If that didn't capture the moment along with my mouth , and partial covered beard in that sauce, my fingers with that delicious marinade, this will . Blackened chicken quesadilla with a side of rice and beans, their home made guacamole, with sour cream , house made salsa which tasted amazing. Big sections cut into triangles just stuffed to the point of explosion. It looked like I had ordered stuffed pizza that's how big they were. The chicken was actually done right, normally some places don't understand blackened they assume burnt to no return is blackened. Now with my taste buds going into a full overload of flavors I figured lets go full tilt here, its time to shake things up , how does one do this you ask. Its called dessert , and this is what sent them over the edge , along with my belt buckle and button. Funnel Cake Fries!! I know , I haven't even explained how this was presented to us yet, so wipe your mouth you are salivating as I am writing this.We all know what funnel cake is , now picture this looking like powdered sugar covered french fries just cut up surrounded by a vanilla ice cream shaped bowl with hot fudge in the middle waiting for you to just dive in and get all kinds of messy. That was part one of dessert the second was Captain Jacks ice cream cake. This big chunk of heaven was how can one describe this. HEAVEN, right I can't describe this but my eyes rolling up and to the back of my head. Hot fudge / chocolate that surrounded this with homemade ice cream , an oreo cookie crust, mixed some pieces of heath bar, then they go an add some caramel for an extras measure ! DELICIOUS.. AMAZING.. OVERLOAD COMPLETED. Myself, my taste buds gave in , white flag is waiving in the air, you won. Great waitresses in Gina and Lisa, very patient with myself and the group , offered some great ideas, what has the best taste. Plenty of televisions for you to look at every angle. So you can bring your wife or girlfriend with out ever missing a game , because basically you can't miss it unless you are blind and deaf. The bar area is the place to be basically. First off I will say be prepared for a high bill when here. Went the other day for lunch and 3 beers and the bill was at $50 without tip. I have only had the zingers which i do truely like. They are homemade chicken fingers that they deep fry and cover with the wing sauce of your choice. They are so damn tasty. The craft beers is where they get you, expect to pay $6 -$8 per craft. Their chicken fingers are different from the zingers as they are already pre-breaded and just dropped in the fryer. A great place to catch the game as they have a lot of tables, TVs, beers and food to munch on. 2 big bars with one that is on the patio. It was enclosed for the Fall/Winter. I would compare them to a Chickie & Pete's in the sports bar scene, but this location is huge. Just bring your wallet cause they are not cheap. I would definitly go back but probably on a Tuesday when the zingers are on special. Domestic beer specials can help your wallet as well. read more

They have no shades on the western facing windows. NOR are there any remedies for it as stated by the manager. They just aren't going to be purchasing window shades. Waitstaff admit people always complain about it. We brought in a party of 30. So 15 of our party of 30 had to sit with the sun burning our retinas for an hour. Thus, don't sit at a table facing west between 6pm and 7 PM. I may go back but it will depend on the seating. read more

We were there yesterday 1-6-24 for a baby shower. There were about 40 people there. Our server, Brent Smith, was amazing. As someone who has been in the food service industry for over 35 years, I thought we should have had 2 servers but he did an outstanding job! All of our orders came out with no issues and in a timely manner. He was polite and helpful. I'm not sure if he is part of the management team but if he isn't, he needs to be! I've been here on numerous occasions, in fact, it's one of my favourite spots. I love the ambiance and the customer service is always on point. I don't always have a meal but when I do I usually get the jambalaya to the point where I don't even look at the menu.... It's that good, or so I thought! I recommended it for my mother in law... No... Wait! I bragged about it to her and she decided to give it a try. The serving was way lighter than what it usually was, there was no sausage in it and they don't serve it with garlic bread anymore. They corrected it after we made mention of it but the experience was really disappointing! I am giving 3 stars based on that but any other time would've been 5 stars. read more

So it's been a year since I posted the first review here. Last night I returned for my birthday dinner. Now, don't let the fact that I just bumped them down to 3 stars scare you. Truth is this is one of those restaurants where I wish I could go 3 1/2 stars. But one thing I've noticed. They seem to suffer from a lot of the same kitchen problems that plagued them in the beginning. More than once during last night's meal, the server had to go back to the kitchen because they forgot something we had ordered on the plate. Twice, the server went back because there wasn't enough dressing on our salads. And she offered to do it without us asking, stating that the "kitchen does that all the time". Gang, when the servers (one of whom was a manager) proactively fixes what they perceive as a kitchen error, that means they are keenly aware of it. As in, it happens too much. Now, food-wise, no huge complaints. The wings are still my favorite. My Porterhouse steak, well when the server asked me if it was cooked to my liking (medium) I replied that it was, having cut into my first bite and seeing that it was medium. I was liking it. But later, the other half of my steak was decidedly rare. I ate it anyway because I don't mind rare, but it did take the steak experience down a bit. Dessert is still a favorite. The Captain Jacks cake is still sinful. It's a bit of a shame. I like this place and still do. The servers and managers remain some of the nicest people I've encountered in restaurants. I've eaten more good things here than not so good. But their kitchen mistakes, which have happened to me more than once over the past year, still hold them back. They always fix them when asked, and even comp you on big mistakes. I see why others have blasted them. I'm going easier on them because I like more of what they do. But if you come here for the first time and they screw up, it's tempting not to come back. read more

Ale House is sorta big thing in FL so when I learned that there's one close by, I was excited. This was the very first time I ever had to wait for a table at an Ale House... Never once did I have to wait in FL, and it's packed ALL THE TIME. I can't believe I'm saying this, but... FLdians just moved more quickly! So fine. We waited.. 35mins... Got seated.. Waitress was quick to take our drinks, but took forever to come back with it! Saw two tables that got seated AFTER us, received their drinks.. their appetizers.. And I'm left wondering... ???? Garlic Parm chicken wings were SO SO BLAHHHH!!!!! There was absolutely NO FLAVOR!!! Same with the Zengers.. Lack flavor! The sauce seemed to be water downed.. or just.. water! The jambalaya was A-OK... FInally some flavor! And to the hostess, please dress more appropriately... Seem like she was ready to hit the club as soon as she clocks out. Very unprofessional, not to mention, unattractive. It definitely can't compare to any of the FL Ale Houses, that's for sure. I'll prolly come back just to sit at the bar to kick back, but just like most Yelpers said, the food is pretty awful. They got a long way to go and I hope they improve in the future... After waiting an hour for mediocre food and receiving piss poor service, I'm excited to write this review. We arrived at Miller's and we were greeted properly. We were a party of three, and it wasn't crowded at all. Three people at the bar, and a few patrons at tables scattered throughout the restaurant. No discernible reason why it should take an hour to get a steak medium well, fish and chips, half rack of ribs, fries and chicken tenders. Mary took our drink orders and then came back about 15 mins later to take our order. We waited about an hour for the aforementioned items, and never once did she bother to ask if we needed anything as she sauntered back and forth rubbing her bottom with her hands. She served us margaritas and never bothered to ask if we'd like water or anything else. Never an explanation for the delay. Just horrible service. So she was tipped as she served, poorly. The food was horrible. The toughest steak I've ever had. I couldn't even eat it. I'd need dentures comparable to Washington's dentures to be able to complete that steak. My daughters fish and chips were slightly burnt. If you wait an hour for food at pretty much an empty establishment it should be pretty damn amazing. I get better service at Chick Fil-A, and even Wawa. Shame on you, Mary. If you don't like serving people, maybe work as an astronaut. I hear there's a Mar's mission soon. Maybe call, Elon. Millers has an amazing steak salad. The issue is every time I order it for curbside pick up or through DoorDash, 9 out of 10 times it's wrong. No onion straws and the dressing is whatever the person felt like giving you despite your documented request. How do you mess up an advertised menu item 90% of the time smh? After noticing the parking lot was practically empty during lunch I realized how down hill this place has gone. Good food but service and attention to detail is a zero out of 10. read more

Came in for the advertised prime rib special on Sunday. Signed up for the email list and got a coupon for free zingers ( chicken fingers) with a $20 dollar order so I took advantage of the specials. Upon entering was greeted by host and the smell of sour beer. The table we sat at was sticky and not clean and the fouls smell was overwhelming to the point that my partner left and waited in the car. Anyways I wa determined to enjoy my prime rib so I Ordered it med rare, a cheeseburger medium well and the zingers in Galicia Parmesan sauce. Zingers came out hot and sauce was very good. A couple minutes later came out the entrees. Even though I asked for med rare I somehow ended up with a med we'll end cut, which is alway more well done. I ate it and wish I would have received a proper cut. I boxed up the burger and my partner ate it in the car on the way home and she really liked it. The server was very friendly but overall experience was not so great. Cleanliness comes first, properly trained kitchen staff would have never served an end cut as med rare. Probably won't be back anytime soon even with the good specials and offerings due to the foul smell. read more

TERRIBLE FOR LARGE PARTIES My family recently came here to celebrate my aunt's 51st birthday on an otherwise uneventful Thursday night. There were 9 of us. No children. The youngest present was 33, & we were not a needy table. Merely neglected. Four of our party were served their entrée a full 13 minutes prior to anyone else receiving anything at all. Their signature long islands tasted like coke & sour mix. Their signature take on a dirty martini was served missing at least an ounce of liquid and looked to be anything but appetizing. We had a friends night out this past Friday, and all I have to say is that our server Tony was AMAZING! He was friendly, upbeat and provided us with exceptional service! He knew that a few others were joining up with us later in the night to have dinner and made sure we were moved to a larger table so everyone was comfortable. There was a fun bunch of people that started coming into the bar area after 9pm. Great music, food and staff. I would definitely have future friends nights at this establishment. read more

This place has really gone downhill, and worse since COVID. The last few times I have gone with a large group (about 30 people). It's a local community theater and we go there after shows. We also never know how many people because friends and family end up tagging along. And being it's one of the few places open late, everyone ends up congregating there anyway. We have tried calling ahead and they tell us they won't take reservations. Then we get there and receive major attitude from the hostess (do not know her name), who has been there the last few times we have gone. The most recent being 7/22/22 around 10:30pm and when we said how many, she rolled her eyes and with a complete attitude told us it was going to be a 45 minute wait - which we had no issue with. She was completely nasty to everyone, and kept rolling her eyes and making comments every time someone else from our group came in. No one in our group had been rude with her, at this point. We were actually seated pretty quickly. The hostess then came over and started dropping menus at our tables (literally dropping) and came to our table and told us they won't split the check. We tried explaining that, while there are 30 of us, we're not technically all together. It was more or less "tough." That's the point that several people in my group did start to give attitude back. On the flip, the server, who I also did not get here name, was absolutely amazing. She handled our group, was totally cheerful & pleasant with us the entire time. We had a few little mishaps that she quickly fixed for us, and even comped someone's food because it didn't come out in time. The bottom line is that we keep trying to give this place a shot, and every time they disappoint! So now we'll drive even further away and give someone else's business our money. Went last night for dinner service with my family. The door mat upon entry smells horrible ! It gives off a very pungent damp smell , it is in dire need of a proper deep cleaning or replacement . Stopped in for a beer and a bite before a wedding. Place was packed on Saturday in May at 5pm but seats were available at the bar. Looks like standard pub grub and the nachos were appeasing. Mainly domestic beers on tap which several PBR, Yuengling and Guinness are advertised all day specials with some of the posters on the wall. Good spacing to move around. Best spot around! The dynamic of the wait staff is a team you could dream of. The kitchen is a little rocky but efficient, we are only human. The music in the patio is controlled by "your request" if warranted to use the often overlooked karaoke machine. Dining room seating is primarily all booths unless you haveba large party and prefer a high top table. Management is most of the time very involved and very helpful. The ambience is inviting, go once and I promise you'll go back 100 more times. This place is a real hit in my book! read more

The food was okay, definitely not up to par with the other stores in this chain I've eaten at. My biggest complaint that drops it from a 3 to a 2 is the service. Our waiter would just disappear for huge blocks of time, so the few things he didn't write down correctly, or the kitchen messed up, took forever to fix. On top of that when it came time for the check he was nowhere to be found. Thankfully the manager stopped by to check on us and we were able to request the check from him. We were almost late to our appointment because we didn't expect it to take an hour and a half during a slow time. In was in the area running errands so I'd thought I'd check out the new folks in Delco. An early lunch would hit the spot. I was the first customer in the door at 11:00 am. I sat at the beautiful bar and ogled the dozens of taps. A tag on the bar said my bartenders would be Abby & Kim and Abby created me quickly. She also was worth a little ogling. It turns out she is also a Phillies Ball Girl! I quickly received my first delicious craft beer from an impressive list. Most of them run about $5. I told Abby I needed a couple of minutes with the menu and off she went. Things went a little downhill at this point. I was ready to order and there was no Abby and no Kim and a hungry slightly annoyed Yelper. I finally flagged down a waitress and she couldn't find my bartenders! She took my order for a Bistro Burger ($9.49) and told me she'd figure out the mix up. Clearly there is a kink here that needs to be worked out. Finally Abby reappeared along with Kim (ogle worthy also) and I received lots of attention. We talked beers for a while and both were knowledgeable. This is one of those places where if you are at the bar and running a tab, they hold your credit card. Of course I have had that happen before and I will forever be annoyed when a place does that. I like to keep control of my plastic! My Bistro Burger arrived nicely plated. The toasted ciabatta bun is very impressive and really enhances the sandwich. My burger was cooked as requested and delicious. The accompanying fries were forgettable and I completely expected that. Miller's is a chain and my experience with chains is that fries are rarely anything special. I was never asked if I wanted S&P or ketchup so I requested them. After that, between the two of them, they must have asked me ten times if I needed anything else! Clearly this is another kink to be worked out. I see a lot of potential here as they tune up their staff and work on issues that any new place is going to experience. I'm going with three stars for now and I'll be back. read more

Drinks were forgotten after ordered. And when served, mediocre at best. Too much ice so not as much drink. Served us once then disappeared for 10 mins. Then came back and was chatting it up with some dude at the bar. Walked right past our empty glasses, twice. Gave us menus. Took forever to ask for our order. After she did, either never put it in or waited. Came out wrong... I will return, but if she is behind the bar, I'll go to either the other bar or a booth. It's the person not the establishment. Rating 2.5 Nothing special really. I came here with a gf pretty early on last Sat from lunch. It was around 11:15am and we were running errands. The place was empty as they just opened and we were seated right away. Our server was very nice and suggested some of their signature dishes. I took her suggestion and ordered the "Big Red" which is a fried chicken cutlet sandwich covered in hot sauce and cheese with a side of sweet potato fries and my gf ordered the jambalaya and a side of fries. My sandwich was average and burnt on one side. My friend's jambalaya looked a lot better. Not really impressed but may give it another shot. read more
