Just before a recent hurricane, I noticed that there was some leaking around some windows that turned out to be related to wood rot. Additionally, I've been struggling with rot issues around a pool closet that wasn't all that well designed. I filed a request with Mr. Handyman and Chad (the owner) promptly responded. Once again, I found Chad and the whole team at Mr. Handyman to be fantastic. He listened carefully to the concern, evaluated the issues and came up with the most cost-effective solutions. He made sure he set expectations in advance of scheduling the work and carefully chose his people that had the right skill set to do the job perfectly. Speaking of the right skillset -- Steven, the lead technician on the job, was just phenomenal to work with. Have you ever met someone who just really knows their stuff and makes you feel at ease? That's Steven in a nutshell. He's worked in all aspects of construction and it shows in his confidence and the quality of his work. He kept me in the loop throughout the entire job and made sure I was completely satisfied. Additionally, I had relayed some struggles I was having caring for my elderly father, and he was a sympathetic ear - offering some advice and ultimately assuring me that he had my back on the house repairs so that I could focus on helping my Dad. There are just not enough people like Steven in the world. He is a rockstar. Additionally, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Dylan, who helped assist Steven, he too was extremely professional and worked hard to help keep to the timeframe quoted. Ultimately, the job was completed in a timely and professional manner. The quality of work was fantastic and I couldn't be more pleased. I would not hesitate to hire 'Mr. Handyman' again in the future and would recommend their services to anyone.

Customer service is terrible. They hung up on me in the middle of the conversation. I am not sure what this company is up to but it sounds like no good.

Goodrich Glass was the only company that would help me out in a pinch by providing emergency…read moreservice on a holiday weekend. They did not even charge me an extra emergency fee. My call was handled immediately outside of business hours, and Jamie, the owner, arrived on time the following day. He fixed my broken window efficiently and with great skill. Within minutes, my window was as good as new. Do yourself a favor and choose Goodrich Glass over the Glass Doctor. The Glass Doctor had no empathy over my emergency. They promised to call me in the morning to see if they could squeeze me in during the weekend. Eventually, they ended up calling me in the afternoon and then quoted me a price that was twice as much as Goodrich Glass after having tacked on extra charges for weekend servicing. There was no regard for my original message that I had needed the work done as soon as possible to get out of town. Goodrich Glass ended up finishing the job effortlessly even before the Glass Doctor could get around to calling me with their ridiculous quote. Choose Goodrich. Unknown Damage under the shingles could ... insert almost anything and it's a nightmare. I had gotten four roofing quotes and went with Ed Senez roofing for three reasons. I live in Orange City I wanted to shop local, I had read other reviews and this company has been in business since 1973 and finally the price was fair. Shawn O'Quinn came out and discussed my concerns and came up with an agreement based on my roof project. We were very concerned the roof would exceed the contract amount and actually it did but they honored the contract price. The roof replacement process....imagine a swarm of bees starting at seven am and ripping the shingles off like locust going through a cornfield. If you watch it's rather messy but each roofing person was so professional and any concerns I had faded due to their experience and professionalism. The best part the roof is - it's finished and it is more beautiful than I expected. Every soft spot replaced repaired and perfect. I have never seen people work like these guys and obviously The results have exceeded my expectations.

Since I had already handled the cleanup myself, I declined their offer. I hope moving forward there's more attention to preparation and proper demo practices so situations like this can be avoided for other clients. I want to share my experience so others know what to expect. When the roofing work started, the lack of professionalism was obvious. There was little to no preparation--no tarps were laid down, and debris was scattered all over my yard. I recently had landscaping done, and it was frustrating to see roofing materials, nails, and trash . Even after the job was "completed," cleanup was incomplete. I'm still finding roofing debris in my backyard, on my grill, and even on my smoker. They also damaged my outdoor lamps and didn't bother to fix or properly replace them. To make matters worse, they left behind leftover materials, including a large box of nails and roofing liner. Oh and because they had little care for prep my dog's water/food bowls had material thrown on them. If I wasn't paying attention they would of ingested that stuff. As someone who grew up around roofing (my father is a roofer), I can say this level of carelessness is not normal--it's sloppy. While the roof itself may look fine at a glance, the overall experience and lack of respect for my property were disappointing. I would strongly encourage others to be cautious and ask detailed questions upfront before hiring this company.

They are certainly a ray of sunshine in completing a job that would have taken me a half day to complete, due to the pitch of my roof. You cannot go wrong in contacting them and getting the free inspection/estimate completed. I will certainly leave them in the Rolodex of trusted businesses to contact for future projects.
