I wanted to have my screened in porch enclosed with windows and decided to go back to Matt the owner of The Window Shoppe since he installed my windows in my house. Against my better judgement of dealing with him the first time I agreed to having him install when another company never followed up. WHAT A MISTAKE! The minute he got my check on Jan 21 and cashed it on Jan 23 I didnt hear back from him although he told me someone would be out by the 23rd to measure. No one showed up so the I patiently waited for the entire next week. I called the office the next week and no one answered. Well this made me nervous since he had my money and was a no show now no answer at his office. I left him a message that I would be cancelling the check if I did not hear back from him. Well that got a response from him and he had an attitude with me. Told me his office girl was sick and he never stated he would send someone out to measure that week. He talks ALOT and kept talking over me after I let him give me his excuses. So I started talking over him and an argument ensued so he said he would cancel the contract. That was PERFECT for me. He even bragged how when he came to my house he took the time to "TEACH" me how to run my video equipment. I never asked him for the advice and he took up a lot of me time running his mouth and when I was just wanting to get him out of there. He did the same "I know it all" advice when he came out for the house windows. Cancelling the contract was the best move for me since I saved $600 by having the same guy who put the screened in room in initially install the windows. Be cautious with this guy. He has a horrible attitude and like others said his customer service is terrible. Read his reviews and see how he responds to the negative ones. read more

The windows were received as ordered. The installation was far from seamless. I wasn't informed of damage done to a window ledge and when I brought it up to the proprietor, he basically accused me of fabricating the story and that his installers did not damage the ledge. The window Shoppe eventually sent someone to repair the ledge two months later. Poorly executed, poorly managed. Should not accuse customers of lying and not even come out to view the damage. The installation team was a good group of guys, but should have just come forward as soon as the incident occurred. read more

A free estimate drew me to this contractor. Was given a good price. Was given an installation date 6 weeks in advance which was cancelled because the factory supplier backed up. New installation date was set. A team of 4 came in an professionally removed the old and installed the new. I highly recommend you consider this family owned business. read more

I ordered windows from them because they had a competitive price and the salesman seemed knowledgeable. But when the installers came the 1st window was put in visibly not level. I asked how do you install a window without a level, and his response was they never use one . I immediately called The Window Shoppe and the salesman argued with me telling me to leave the workers alone !!!! After 12 months of the installer saying that he did nothing wrong and the windows were the problem. And the manufacture who had made many visits trying resolve the problems said that the problems were not the windows. There were problems with almost every window. We unfortunately had to hire a lawyer. I would not recommend this company !!!! read more

My mom just had the windows replaced in her home in Deland, Florida. I have to say, they are absolutely beautiful. The crew (Gary Register and Jorden) was in and out in 3 days and we could not be more pleased with the care that they took while in our home, despite the 6 Chihuahuas that were constantly trying to attack them every time they walked through. Jorden and Gary do excellent work and both of them went out of their way to help us. Gary took our trash to the curb and Jorden put our dryer and hose back in place. NOT happy- job incomplete- parts missing , windows not working properly because of Installers, owner Becky said it has to do with Warranty from PGT that my slider was not adjusted and wont fully close and that a handle and other hardware is missing. If parts were missing The Window Shoppe should of noticed this and not done the job if they could not complete it. Very upset that so much damage was done by installers crowbar upon removing my old windows! Matt the son said your getting the Best windows, call Duke Energy and get the kit for us to fill out about your new upgraded windows, Mom Becky now says you didnt get the new upgraded windows and so they dont qualify. 2 weeks I have been waiting to get the slider fixed. Matt Fair came out to my home to give me an estimate and told me I would have it within 3 business days. I called on day 3 and they did not have it ready and told me they would call when it is ready. I called back after 5 days of the visit and still not estimate. When I had called on the 5th day I received an attitude from Becky because I had called back checking up on the estimate since I was told one thing by Matt and then the office is blowing me off and not giving me a date as to when I would have the bid. I said there must be lack of communication and Becky then told me yes there is and I should go with the other company in which I totally agree with. Would I really want to deal with a company that can't even provide the bid in the time stated. UGH!! Run!!!!!! I could imagine what it would have been like if I chose them, gave them the deposit and then waited a year to get the job started. read more

I called and got an appointment for between 9 - 10. He showed up at 11-ish upset because he said he was to meet me. I had told him I would NOT be there and my mother and sister would be. All he had to do was measure the window and I was available by phone, which he took advantage of. He criticized the windows I already have in my home; telling me what junk they were - I didn't install them, as we just bought the home. But it is not his business to critique what I have in my home. By the time he left, he had both my mother and sister upset with his attitude and told my sister, 'Well I supposed she will be calling WindowWorld now to get a quote". I asked him specifically how long it would take to get the quote and he said...in two days my secretary will call you to get an email and then you will have it a few days after that. Weeks later, we still have no quote. I am sure he will be on here to "correct" everything I have said as that seems to be his pattern, but I have two other people who experienced him at the same time as me and they were both in agreement that he was not pleasant to deal with. read more

I recently paid ALOT of money to have new windows installed. I chose the Window Shoppe thinking they were family owned 30 yrs and would be the best . The installation went pretty smooth. The windows seem pretty good but it's too soon to tell if they will stand the test of time. My number one complaint is the CUSTOMER SERVICE. For being family owned you'd think that customer service would be priority in this small community. Once installation is complete you better HOPE you have no issues with the windows because they really give you a hard time about coming out to help!! I was very disappointed with this and would advise anyone to think twice before using the window shoppe.. If you do... just PRAY you don't have anything go wrong once YOUR CHECK CLEARS because the company definitely does not want to come out and help once it does!!!!! read more

One of the worse experiences. First contact 10/22/2018; I paid 3,275.00 for window on 10/25/2019. Despite many calls, window not installed until 2/14/2019. Took 2 hours to go to Home Depot for "trim". One of the installers blocked my mother in and she could not leave for the two hours they were at Home Depot. Took 1 hour for lunch. When done after 5 PM they asked me for 200 dollars more for "trim". I made out the check to the Window Shoppe, the installer stated the check was to be made out to him. I would not agree so he said he would take the check to the Window Shoppe and they would give him his money. Hard to believe it was 200 dollars for maybe 4 pieces of trim. So total cost $3,475.00 I would not recommend or use this company again. Calls to the shoppe they never knew when I was scheduled, promised to call back - never did and I was never sure they were going to show up on 2/14/2019. Put sign advertising their company without asking me in my front lawn. Following this post Matt Fair called me at my office and was very abrasive repeating the work done was per "signed contract". He stated that it is technical work to do trim and takes 200.00 dollars. Based on the attitude and abrasive follow-up I agree with my mom and brothers assessment of the encounter. read more
