We met with Max & Yuri and immediately liked their friendly, personable approach. They also offered by far the best value in comparison with several other companies' quotes we received, and so we decided to go for it. That was 2 years ago and since then, we have used Fast Blinds for multiple projects at our home. Almost every room in our home has now been outfitted by this company and we trust no one else to do the job right! They have installed 20+ different shades from blackout to sheer shades, from motorized to chain-drawn, and from bedrooms to bathrooms to commons spaces. Also, I should note that we have not been the easiest of customers ! But Max & Yuri have been super professional to troubleshoot any issues personally and with a very fast turnaround time. On the most recent job, we were unhappy about the new shades that were installed as we felt they too bulky for the space. Max & Yuri patiently worked with us and they ended up replacing them all with smaller customized shades that we were very happy with. We greatly appreciate how much they care about their clients in ensuring complete satisfaction with their products and services. They clearly take great pride in their work and we cannot recommend them highly enough!

Yvonne helped me back in 2005 and was just an amazing sales professional and customer advocate, and luckily for me she was still there in 2021 when I needed new blinds. I shopped around a little and I'm quite certain the pricing is very competitive even without the great service, which is priceless, of course. Once again Yvonne bent over backwards to provide such outstanding service, making many home visits to measure and provide recommendations etc. She's always responsive and helpful. Equally her crew, led by Carlos, did an amazing job each time they came to install. The new blinds are even better than the old ones, they operate perfectly and look amazing. However, when I contacted Bay View I received a phone call the next morning. Although they are located in Novato and I live in San Francisco, I was very happy to drive up there on a lovely fall day. I spent over $10,700 on a combination of motorized and manual window shades for my home. While the…read moreshades themselves are generally acceptable, the customer service and overall project execution were below expectations for a project of this cost. After the initial down payment was made, communication became inconsistent. I did not receive proactive updates for approximately two to four weeks and had to reach out myself to inquire about the order status. When I did, I was told that "it hasn't been that long," despite the lack of communication. Given the significant financial investment, I expected more timely and professional updates. The installation was completed over a month ago, but the job remains unfinished. The manual shades were installed without the required lift handles, which have still not been provided. Additionally, wall damage occurred during installation due to ladders being used without protective coverings. These issues have not yet been repaired. After installation, I noticed that several shades were not properly centered, most noticeably in the kitchen. When this was raised, I was told by the installer's assistant that the primary installer had already left and that I should "see if I could live with it," with the possibility of correcting it at a later date. This response did not reflect a commitment to quality workmanship. There were also concerns regarding professionalism during the installation process, including disorganization and a lack of basic courtesy while working inside my home. During our interactions, I was informed that the business had been established by the owner's father and later passed on to him and his brother. Based on my experience, the level of service and follow-through I received does not appear consistent with what one would expect from a company built on a reputation for quality. Given the cost of the project, the incomplete work, unresolved damage, poor communication, and overall lack of professionalism, I would not recommend this business.

We hired a general contractor and agreed to use all of their selected subcontractors except for a small subset we insisted on selecting ourselves, including High Tech Screens & Shades. We thankfully discovered High Tech Screens via online searches, and validated them through our Windows & Doors subcontractor/reseller. (we installed the highest end Marvin Ultimates and Marvin Moderns throughout our project) High Tech (Josh and Justin) arrived as scheduled, and always on time. They assessed and installed custom screens on four of our doors, including two outswinging french doors (2 screens on each), and two single outswinging doors. High Tech's attention to detail and quality work is notable. The finishes match our door trim as desired. The function of the screens are excellent, and the screens "hide-away" from view when not in use / retracted. Further, High Tech's screens and craftsmanship are so good that we unfortunately had a worker inadvertently walk through one of them after installation (the installation was so clean he didn't see the screen). Josh and Justin found time to return to the site within 48 hours and repair the screen so that it works like new. We cannot recommend highly enough High Tech Screens & Shades. If you are looking for a professional job/installation for screens for a high-end home, they are the truly the only firm you need to consider.

High Tech Shades in Novato was initially pointed out to me by a close friend who had a great experience with them. He was attempting to get a cord fixed on a window covering, and every business (including the one he bought it from) was telling him he had to buy a new window covering. My friend thought this was ridicules. He called High Tech Shades who told him they would send a technician out to replace the cord, which they did. I knew right away that a business that has customer support like that is where I want to buy window coverings. I needed new window coverings where I just moved to in Mill for the master bedroom, three bay windows in the living room, and office. The living room and office windows weren't a tough call because the Project Coordinator, JiJi, showed me several options and what became obvious were custom Hunter Douglas Duette Honeycomb Shades with their cell construction for insulation and the amount of light I wanted to get through. The most important room to me was the master bedroom where I wanted two motorized blackout drapes, floor-to-ceiling, and wall-to-wall to cover a sliding glass window on the right and a smaller window on the left. Getting blackout drapes were important to not be bothered by sunlight in the morning and whenever I felt like a nap. Motorized was needed because I wanted neither cords nor wands because I got thick material and lining and wanted the stress of opening and closing the drapes to be evenly distributed. I had been to every window covering place in Southern Marin County looking for what I wanted for the bedroom windows, and none had the material I wanted or a selection from which I could find something else. High Tech Shades had such a great selection it took me two weeks to make up my mind with samples in my place. They had the material I initially wanted, but I was distracted with others I liked in their selection. From there I found out about others on their team that did a great job: Jihan took the measurements, and Wassim and Randy (JiJi's son) did the installations. He immediately called me back and set up a convenient date for measuring and installation. Erez is very punctual, patient, reliable and professional. He is also very friendly and helpful. He gave me a lot of professional and common-sense tips on selecting shades and rolls that fit our home the best as well as for the installation them. Erez did both: the measuring and the installation. Communication with Erez always was easy and he responded to my phone calls and texts promptly. Erez is very responsible in problem solving and completed the work to our satisfaction. When 2 of our brand-new rolls for patio doors worked not properly (manufacturer defect), he provided temporary rolls, so we could have some privacy during the replacement. Erez wanted to be sure that we are satisfied throughout the whole process: from order to installation. He even let me hold the sample book for a couple of days so I can make sure I get exactly what I want. Erez really worked with me to help me stay within budget. Met with and received quotes from 3 different vendors. While all 3 were prompt and responsive, Erez was the only one who continued to follow up with me. Our project got delayed due to Covid issues and he always sent a note checking in. His prices were better than anyone else's as well. Five stars! Maybe more! I couldn't be more pleased. I have 3 very large motorized shades on the…read morepatio that were installed over 15 years ago. And recently one of the shades stopped working. I was pretty sure it was an issue with the motor, but I wasn't sure I could find someone who had experience fixing this type of issue on my brand of shade (Somfy). I contacted Oscar, and I immediately felt reassured that he knew what he was doing and had the right experience. He sent out a couple a great techs (Pat and Jay) that did an amazing job diagnosing and fixing the problem. They had to take the whole shade down, take out the old motors, install the new motors, reinstall the shade, and reprogram the remote. It was getting late, and I had to leave for a family dinner, but they stayed as the sun was setting to get the job done. Today, the day of service there was a no-show by the Technician. I called (txt) the company at 10:30am to inquire whether the individual was going to show up, and they mentioned that the technician would not be showing up due to car issues. I understand that issues arise, such as car issues, that might impede someone from making their appointment, but as a Company and professional they should have sent me a notification advising this. It took me reaching out to the Company to get an answer. I took time off work, to meet with this individual, hours from work and income loss that I won't get back. In my opinion, this was very unprofessional. The Company propose to re-schedule the appointment, but I declined as this would mean I would need to take more time of work, on another date, to meet for an appointment that they didn't make the first go around. My trust is broken at this point and I will pass on any future services.

High Tech Shades in Novato was initially pointed out to me by a close friend who had a great experience with them. He was attempting to get a cord fixed on a window covering, and every business (including the one he bought it from) was telling him he had to buy a new window covering. My friend thought this was ridicules. He called High Tech Shades who told him they would send a technician out to replace the cord, which they did. I knew right away that a business that has customer support like that is where I want to buy window coverings. I needed new window coverings where I just moved to in Mill for the master bedroom, three bay windows in the living room, and office. The living room and office windows weren't a tough call because the Project Coordinator, JiJi, showed me several options and what became obvious were custom Hunter Douglas Duette Honeycomb Shades with their cell construction for insulation and the amount of light I wanted to get through. The most important room to me was the master bedroom where I wanted two motorized blackout drapes, floor-to-ceiling, and wall-to-wall to cover a sliding glass window on the right and a smaller window on the left. Getting blackout drapes were important to not be bothered by sunlight in the morning and whenever I felt like a nap. Motorized was needed because I wanted neither cords nor wands because I got thick material and lining and wanted the stress of opening and closing the drapes to be evenly distributed. I had been to every window covering place in Southern Marin County looking for what I wanted for the bedroom windows, and none had the material I wanted or a selection from which I could find something else. High Tech Shades had such a great selection it took me two weeks to make up my mind with samples in my place. They had the material I initially wanted, but I was distracted with others I liked in their selection. From there I found out about others on their team that did a great job: Jihan took the measurements, and Wassim and Randy (JiJi's son) did the installations. I'm a happy customer and got that way from their great customer support, selection, and dedication to customer satisfaction.

Now looks/works like new. Fair pricing relative to cost of replacing the entire unit. I shared photos over the phone. They gave me a two hour window for an appointment and came at the top of the first hour, texting before arrival. Recommended.

Consistently outstanding value, quality and service spanning almost 20 years!…read more I first bought large, remote-controlled motorized shades from National Blinds in 2004: 12' wide and 9' high, as well as a smaller manual set, which were still going strong in 2020 when I removed them for a remodel (and was even able to sell on Craigslist!) Yvonne helped me back in 2005 and was just an amazing sales professional and customer advocate, and luckily for me she was still there in 2021 when I needed new blinds. I shopped around a little and I'm quite certain the pricing is very competitive even without the great service, which is priceless, of course. Once again Yvonne bent over backwards to provide such outstanding service, making many home visits to measure and provide recommendations etc. She's always responsive and helpful. Equally her crew, led by Carlos, did an amazing job each time they came to install. The new blinds are even better than the old ones, they operate perfectly and look amazing. Note, I'm posting this at the Novato and SF locations since Yvonne works out of both.

We hired a general contractor and agreed to use all of their selected subcontractors except for a small subset we insisted on selecting ourselves, including High Tech Screens & Shades. We thankfully discovered High Tech Screens via online searches, and validated them through our Windows & Doors subcontractor/reseller. (we installed the highest end Marvin Ultimates and Marvin Moderns throughout our project) High Tech (Josh and Justin) arrived as scheduled, and always on time. They assessed and installed custom screens on four of our doors, including two outswinging french doors (2 screens on each), and two single outswinging doors. High Tech's attention to detail and quality work is notable. The finishes match our door trim as desired. The function of the screens are excellent, and the screens "hide-away" from view when not in use / retracted. Further, High Tech's screens and craftsmanship are so good that we unfortunately had a worker inadvertently walk through one of them after installation (the installation was so clean he didn't see the screen). Josh and Justin found time to return to the site within 48 hours and repair the screen so that it works like new. We cannot recommend highly enough High Tech Screens & Shades. If you are looking for a professional job/installation for screens for a high-end home, they are the truly the only firm you need to consider.

However, when I contacted Bay View I received a phone call the next morning. Although they are located in Novato and I live in San Francisco, I was very happy to drive up there on a lovely fall day. I dropped the blind off with Yuri, took a fifteen-walk through a lovely neighbourhood, and returned to find the job done. Yuri and his team are consummate professionals.
