The owner (Erez) is a little funny, eager and also generally sloppy. I think things could have worked with him and in the end, we likely would have been happy. Sadly, he felt the need to talk politics, again and again with comments that knocked various groups of people or policies. His conservatism and vitriol were beginning to glare. Much of it, we could weather, smile and let roll off our backs. But for unknown reasons, out of seemingly the blue, Erez saw fit to launch a much stronger sentiment in one of the most important and polarized election years in US history. He stated in a definitive manner, "If I had to vote right now, I would vote for Donald Trump over Joe Biden." His reasons were things like-- Biden was not a leader, he was too old and also he tried to deny Menachem Begin (1982 clash about funds for offensive against Lebanon) with money for weapons to influence policies abroad. Several times he referenced the Begin/Biden clash and Begin's Jew with trembling knees statement of the time. (I know, that was 1982!). I tried more than once to halt the conversation explaining that we don't feel the same way and it was better we didn't talk politics. He then said several times that he was sorry he hurt my feelings which I explained had nothing to do with hurt feelings. Things ensued unpleasantly. Still we shook hands and ended our meeting. 10 minutes later while driving away, I received a text message from Erez saying I had been disrespectful and I should go with another company. This was actually the first thing we were able to agree on. I simply texted a thumbs up back. 30 minutes later, he texted that he doesn't think I am a bad person. I ignored it. The relationship is over, no reason to engage further. My thoughts? You are positioned in one of the bluest, most Trump hating regions in the country and spouting these sentiments to clients paying you several thousands of dollars-- maybe best to leave politics out of the programs?! 7/10/24 Since posting this review, I have been continually harassed by Erez by text, email and phone. I do not respond and yet he continues, even having his wife text me! I wrote a single email one week after the harassment asking him to stop making any contact with us or I will file a police report and pursue a restraining order. He continues and therefore, I will do as promised: post a screenshot of his last threatening email to me today and follow through with reporting the matter to the proper authorities. Hi - there are many places where one can buy shades in the Bay Area. I should know because I bought from at least three companies. Yet I would not do business with them again. So I reached out to Miller Window Covering on a hope and a prayer. This company delivers. They are owned and operated by a local family. They keep their promises. Erez is very precise with his measuring and completely professional and patient when it comes to helping you choose the right products for the right reasons. Now, you might say all good salesman will do that. True, but it's after-the-sale that really matters, I have found. He follows through and communicates about the process and the installation timing. He makes the buying decision easier because he knows what he's doing with decades of experience and he understands what the expectation is of the customer. Look, I'm particular. We found this company based on their excellent Yelp reviews, and at the end we found all those reviews to be so accurate. Not sure where to start. Erez is quick to respond, and he schedules a visit to your house for the first availability he has. He shares the options that would have the highest price/value for your budget, takes the measurements, and quickly gives you an estimate. In our case where we were picky about the options, he has given us multiple visits with leaving more samples at our house, and giving us a couple more days to think of with no questions, hesitations, or pressure. We wanted to also evaluate the other options, and we got another quote from Shadestore. At the end, Erez's estimates were much more reasonable, and the quality of the Hunter Douglas shades were not even questionable. (Also unlike Shadestore, Hunter Douglas had motorized option for their day/night (duolite) shades) At the end, we're so glad that we've worked with Erez, and we're looking forward to ordering more shades for our living room. The proof is in the pudding and actions speak louder than words. Erez is a man of his word and his word is his bond. My hat goes off to Erez and Martin for the Excellent Service they provided. Erez called me on a Friday to tell me he had received all my shutter components and would come to install everything Tuesday between 12:30-1pm. At 1pm Erez and Martin arrived and immediately got to work and laid out floor coverings to prevent scratching my hardwood floors. Martin pulled out the self-leveling laser to check how level and true my moldings were and made the necessary adjustments using shims to ensure the installation of my shutters were level and true. Martin did not do a rush job but took his time, which I appreciated. Their attention to detail to ensure everything was done correctly and operated smoothly was refreshing. Even their post cleanup was a testament to the pride they take in their work. Erez offers the total package from your initial phone call to the clean-up which is rare these days. I can't say enough, nor can I give enough "at-a-boys" to Erez of "Miller Window Coverings". If I could give 10-Stars I would. On Yelp I never post a business I've dealt with less than 4-Stars because if they were anything less, I would have walked out of their business ie; restaurant or not done business with them. I give credit where credit is due and as such, I take the time to provide not just accolades, but a back story of my experience so fellow Yelpers can get a true feel of my experience. Back in 2008 I got shutters for my huge front window. I went through Costco and got Hunter Douglas New Style Hybrid Shutters. Fast forward to 2023. I had major repair work done to the front of my house and replaced the window with a larger one. Suffice it to say the shutters I had no longer fit so I needed to get a replacement. I checked with Costco and found their vendor had changed from Hunter Douglas to Graber. I made an appointment with Costco's Graber representative, and he came to show me their samples. He took measurements, asked what I preferred. I showed and told him similar to my Hunter Douglas' New Style Hybrid. He looked it over and later emailed me a quote for their similar comparison. When I received the quote I nearly fainted. Even with the eligible 20% Costco Shop Card Discount the quote was 3x what I had paid for Hunter Douglas. Grant it I did take into account inflation and what Covid has done to prices +30%, but that was ridiculous. I could easily see a 100% increase, but not 300%! Looking further at the quote details I noticed the representative did not give me a correct comparison quote. He gave me a quote for Wood Shutters which I knew were more costly than the Hybrid. It was apparent the representative did not know the difference even after looking at what I had and that to me was a Big Red Flag. Since I preferred the look and style of the Hunter Douglas brand I decided to look further into Hunter Douglas and see what their pricing was. Erez and his company were extremely easy to work with, gave competitive pricing, detailed in measurements, helpful when deciding the customization details (blinds type, thickness, mobility, even prioritization of which windows would get maximum sunlight vs privacy so I could make an informed choice). I was tempted by some of the popular DIY outlets (blinds.com, 3 day blinds, etc) but after reading more about the quality differences and getting pricing from many vendors (inc the DIY options), I was confident in choosing Miller Window Covering and was super impressed with Erez's responsiveness and personal commitment to customer service.
