We needed to protect some equipment on the side of our house. Wen Han came out promptly after I called, designed and set the size for an awning that would meet our needs, and prepared a proposal, which I accepted. He estimated that the awning would be ready in 2-3 weeks. A few days later, he called to report that the fabric that I had selected would take several weeks to arrive. He recommended, instead, a fabric with a slightly different color (he sent a photo comparing the two), which would have the benefit (at no additional charge) of being fireproof. I accepted that recommendation. Amazingly (to me), the awning was installed only six days after we ordered it! My wife and I feel that it looks better than we had expected (we were focusing merely on functionality). During both visits, Wen Han said that his objective was to make me happy, which he did. And this was while, in addition to COVID-19 shelter-in-place restrictions, Wen Han was using crutches because he had torn a tendon in his right foot! I called Mr. Han for replacing an awning post on a mobilehome carport. My park management is very strict and said I had to paint and reattach the gutter downspout. In looking at it I realized there was a small dent in the post, which they also are very strict about replacing damaged posts, so I thought I will just get it all done together. Mr. Han had me send a picture and recommended that, rather than replacing the post that I try having someone just hammer out the small dent because replacement would be very expensive and he didn't feel it needed to be replaced. Wowsa! Everything impressed me about this company. I have been using awnings in a commercial setting for many years and am glad I chose Wen Han Awning. Estimator shows up as scheduled, gives me a fair price and then prioritizes my project ahead of a bigger company and the awning is being put in place before the heavy rains ahead of expectations. After many experiences with different awning companies I can see quality and design features such as wrapping extra fabric around the frame poles to keep the awning from beating itself up when the rain and wind attack it. I have awnings that extend 10 feet so they are subject to more exposure and in the past the average life could be between 5 and 7 years before canvas starts coming apart at the stitching and needs replacement. I can see right away the improved workmanship of the Wen Han design and he explained how the stitches are stronger, probably fly way passed 10 years with these. And all done with good humor and can do attitude. read more
