Highly recommend Wen Han Awning! We needed our awning replaced last year and tried going back to the company that originally installed it, but their quote was ridiculous. I reached out to Wen Han instead, and he came out the exact same day I asked for a quote. Their pricing was super reasonable, and they matched our original color perfectly. The whole thing was done in just two weeks. It's been a year now and the awning is holding up wonderfully and looks exactly the same as the day we got it. Would recommend them to everyone! read more

I just had to awning canvas replaced. So happy with this company. Superior quality and customer service! Manufacturers no longer make dual colored material for awnings. I needed dark on the outside and light gray on the reverse. He painted during the Manufacturing, turned out perfect. I cannot recommend this business highly enough. Very happy customer. read more

Great experience with Wen Han and Abdul today. Our sunsetter fabric was torn after 15 years of serving us well. Wen and Abdul came today and took out the old fabric and installed new fabric for us at a reasonable price. They were professional and went the extra mile. We highly recommend them to do your awning. read more

Wen Han installed a customized double-door (French Doors) awning and custom canvas pieces under my port cochere in Alameda and did a fabulous job. Moreover his price was well below the bid I got to do only the canvas work under the port cochere. What's not to like? read more

Wen does a fantastic job at designing and creating awnings for both home and businesses. Recently, Wen did a large awning in our backyard that created a resort like setting. The craftsmanship was amazing, and the quality of materials used were great. Wen responded quickly to my inquiries regarding the project and always arrived on time. Wen Han was very responsive by email. He provided a reasonable quote to replace the fabric of my existing awning after I sent the size and photos. I visited his showroom in San Leandro to pick out a Sunbrella fabric color, and he came to my home the same day to remove the existing fabric. I highly recommend his service. read more

We needed to protect some equipment on the side of our house. Wen Han came out promptly after I called, designed and set the size for an awning that would meet our needs, and prepared a proposal, which I accepted. He estimated that the awning would be ready in 2-3 weeks. A few days later, he called to report that the fabric that I had selected would take several weeks to arrive. He recommended, instead, a fabric with a slightly different color (he sent a photo comparing the two), which would have the benefit (at no additional charge) of being fireproof. I accepted that recommendation. Amazingly (to me), the awning was installed only six days after we ordered it! My wife and I feel that it looks better than we had expected (we were focusing merely on functionality). During both visits, Wen Han said that his objective was to make me happy, which he did. And this was while, in addition to COVID-19 shelter-in-place restrictions, Wen Han was using crutches because he had torn a tendon in his right foot! I am pleased to recommend Wen Han Awning. read more

I contacted Wen Han to replace an awning in our side yard. He is great to work with-he communicated well through the project and was able to do the work so quickly. It looks great. He uses Sunbrella fabric. We have a large cover over our patio and I will definitely call him back to replace the fabric on it when the time comes. read more

Wen Han and his crew are top notch: responsive, professional, and thorough. After problems with my original awning company, I found Wen Han via Yelp and they exceeded my expectations, from initial visit and quote to installation. They replaced one awning completely and the fabric on the second awning. (BTW-Fabric is thicker and far superior than original). When one awning retracted after an hour, Wen Han had his tech come out within a few hours to recalibrate the sensor. Excellent service! Gold star! read more

Just had my new awnings installed on my house And they look fantastic! I had another bid from somewhere else that was almost 40% more. Well-made and well installed. Wait time for fabrication was very little, was less than two weeks. The owner made sure that the installation was Perfect. Thanks again read more

We have used this company for a number of our properties and they always have done a very professional installation.

High-quality work, extremely responsive service. Wen and his team are clearly very experienced, take pride in their work, and do it to a high quality. The kind of tradespeople I like to work with. As some others have remarked, Wen can be quite a character, a bit salty at times, and in his rush he can come across as impatient and pushy. Nevertheless, he's a good guy, trustworthy, and I'll always prefer contractors like him to smooth-talkers who are unreliable and do subpar work. Would gladly hire again. Our new awnings looks great. read more

I had a great experience with Wen and Wen Han Awning. Wen was quick to reply and had competitive pricing. Also, he and his associate both mentioned that the previous awning installers installed our awnings incorrectly, placing the silicone underneath instead of on top of the awning. The error by the other company, cost us several thousand of dollars in water damage cost. You will win with Wen. read more

Wen Han did a beautiful job replacing two awnings at our home. They were very well constructed and high quality fabric. Plus they were $1000 cheaper than other companies. Really great service and they are super nice people. read more

I called Mr. Han for replacing an awning post on a mobilehome carport. My park management is very strict and said I had to paint and reattach the gutter downspout. In looking at it I realized there was a small dent in the post, which they also are very strict about replacing damaged posts, so I thought I will just get it all done together. Mr. Han had me send a picture and recommended that, rather than replacing the post that I try having someone just hammer out the small dent because replacement would be very expensive and he didn't feel it needed to be replaced. I am writing this review because I think it is rare to find a businessman who will turn down a profit and be totally honest. I really appreciate his ethics. read more

I wish I could give this guy no stars he is very rude and very impatient when you try to talk to him on the phone he does not want to talk to you he has a bad attitude he sound like he's mad or he is drunk he does not know how to deal with people when you try to explain to him what you need he gets very agitated and tells you to take your business elsewhere before you even explain what you need very impatient I'll take my business and money elsewhere don't need to be hollered at by a person who I'm looking to hire to give them money for a job read more

Wen, sent a text asking if he could come over that same day. I said I wasn't available and needed a day's notice. No response. A texted a fww days later about a re-schedule and he sent a quote of $6500, and never even came by to give a quote. read more

We installed our original awnings almost 30 years ago, and could not live comfortably without them. When the canvas needed to be replaced, we contacted several companies. Wen's proposal was the best and most competitive bid and he included a fabric sample to confirm the brand and color we had asked for. During removal of the frames and old canvas, Wen and his crews were fantastic (and funny too). They took care with all their efforts. Great communications regarding appointments and delivery dates. When the final products were delivered and installed, we were totally impressed by the outstanding workmenship on our replacement awnings. We are thrilled with the results. Highly recommend for the quality, timeliness and value of this company. read more

Wowsa! Everything impressed me about this company. I have been using awnings in a commercial setting for many years and am glad I chose Wen Han Awning. Estimator shows up as scheduled, gives me a fair price and then prioritizes my project ahead of a bigger company and the awning is being put in place before the heavy rains ahead of expectations. After many experiences with different awning companies I can see quality and design features such as wrapping extra fabric around the frame poles to keep the awning from beating itself up when the rain and wind attack it. I have awnings that extend 10 feet so they are subject to more exposure and in the past the average life could be between 5 and 7 years before canvas starts coming apart at the stitching and needs replacement. I can see right away the improved workmanship of the Wen Han design and he explained how the stitches are stronger, probably fly way passed 10 years with these. And all done with good humor and can do attitude. read more

Very honest, knowledgeable owner. Punctual, excellent and reliable job.
