At first a as a frequent visitor and now as a part time resident of Vail Valley. Last week we stopped in and I bought a pair of hiking boots and my wife picked up a few things. Without looking closely at them except for size we walked out. Once home the $80.00 sweater had a spot on it. (Inexpensive item but it was cute). When we tried to return it exchange the young salesman with a beard said my wife had worn it even though it had the tag still on it. He clearly stated she was a liar and nothing could be done. We emailed the owners Mike and Mary who know my wife by sight when they see her. No response so far. You decide if you want to shop at a store where the young employees are so poorly trained that they insult their customers. After many years and thousands of dollars, we will shop at home or on line for the things that we use to go out of our way to support local business. We will never set foot in this store again. This January we came out to CO to ski and again my shins were in excruciating pain. I went to a boot fitter in Beaver Creek who said "the boot's not the problem, your body is the problem" ... I was about to give up the sport for good when a friend recommended Outdoor Divas. OMG - it was an amazing experience. Michael made me try on tons of boots. He was methodical in how he went about finding me the PERFECT boot. He explained everything, and spent time fixing even the tiniest little spots of discomfort. (And a smaller size than I normally wear, to boot!) The clothing is an eclectic mix--lots of classic pieces, along with modern, fun, funky, and interesting styles to mix in. Great for basics, but never boring! Prices range from modest to splurge, depending on the brand. But lots of pieces at very affordable prices.
