While other salespeople we had dealt with were pushy, fake, or dishonest, Asad was fantastic to work with and I felt happy and confident buying the car with him. I had financing arranged with my credit union but Asad gave us a better deal than I had been offered and he explained it in an easy to understand way. I am on day 6 with my 2014 Crosstrek and it is amazing on snow, not an suv but not a wagon. It is exactly what i was looking for and after driving a Rogue, a Rav-4, a CRV, and a cx 5, as well as researching awd cars/suvs with great mileage, i knew i wanted the crosstrek- and seated heats yo! i hugely recommend anyone looking for a great winter car that is sporty, looks hot and gets great mileage to come here and ask for Asad!

Decided to add the tow package to our current Subaru and told Jeff I was no longer interested in a new car. Made a service appointment and had the hitch installed. No sooner than we got home my wife was getting text messages from St. Cloud Subaru wanting to buy our car. ENOUGH ALREADY! Today, I got an email from Jeff Maxwell letting me know that I was pre-approved for a new car loan. WHO THE 'F' asked you to run my credit report. Apparently, this salesman, Jeffery Maxwell, doesn't care about what the customer wants or doesn't want, he won't take NO for an answer. In my opinion, I would not be surprised if he has some kind of a criminal background. Buy your next car anywhere but at St. Cloud Subaru!

We all needed a new car for our three-person household. My dad warned us to be wary of this place…read moreand while I usually follow his advice, Don Robinson Mitsubishi was the only dealer who advertised on their website that credit didn't matter; only whether you had a job (more on this later!). Since my roommate had a job and none of us had stellar credit, we headed on over anyway. We were all pleasantly surprised! Upon our entry into the shop, one of the salespeople greeted us kindly. Another salesperson came up and started helping us out. We began by looking at a used 2010 Subaru Impreza 2i Limited, which we loved...but (and here's where the above bit about the "credit didn't matter" comes in) the website was deceptive about the truth; they finance everything through a network of banks and your credit absolutely *DOES* matter; whether you have a job is inconsequential, so this is insanely deceptive and knocked a whole star off of my review. For whatever stupid reason, the banks won't approve a car that--in their eyes--isn't worth enough (used cars tend to be worth less in general) for people with lower credit without a monstrous down-payment, so they ended up having to approve us for a new car instead (talk about backwards logic); we ended up with a 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage Limited Edition, which actually ended up being even better than the Impreza! Lots of reviews online talk about how wonderful the Mirage is when it comes to features, safety and overall reliability, but trash on its speed, acceleration and power. I've found that the Mirage is a lot more powerful than everybody gives it credit for, despite its 3-cylinder engine. My only complaint is how crappy the speakers are (and no equaliser settings on the radio!), but I will eventually get the speakers replaced, at least. Anyway, with all of that out of the way, the salesperson and financiers got to work setting up the loan, while Mr. Don Robinson himself came out to greet us! I was shocked; I didn't know that the owner would be in the shop. Apparently that's a common thing for people purchasing cars here, though. It took a long time, but we eventually got our trade sorted, the paperwork signed and a payment plan hashed out. And then one of the financiers took us to finalise everything else, including an extended warranty, which he pushed. HARD. Half a star off for the hard push on the extended warranty, which is a shame, as the rest of the experience was really wonderful. We declined the extended warranty. Finally, a sales rep "delivered" (read: gave us a tour of the features) the Mirage Limited. This was very helpful and I learned how to do many things, including fiddle with the Apple Play features on the radio. However, he said a couple of things which took off another half-star from this review: he told us to always leave traction control on unless we're stuck in snow (total BS; turning that off gives you access to the engine's full power, which I like), to always keep the A/C on when running the front window defroster (more BS; you always keep the A/C turned OFF for defrosting)...and then he audaciously asked us to give him "all-ten-stars" on the review that would come from Mitsubishi Corporate, since "anything less--even all nines--is a fail for us." Umm...no. I told my roommate to give him what they thought they deserved (I would not have given all-ten-stars to Mitsubishi Corporate any more than I would have given five stars here). All in all, it was an extremely long but rewarding process. Everybody was friendly and the experience would absolutely have me going back again. But beware the deceptive advertising on the website, extended warranties being pushed...and sales reps asking for "all-ten-stars" for the Mitsubishi Corporate review.

He was flexible with a pay arrangement that involved an insurance pay-out situation. He followed up to make sure everything was satisfactory with the purchase. We like especially that David does not deal with auction vehicles, only trade-ins. He has does business with multiple members of several families, a testament to the trust David builds with customers. For these reasons we highly recommend Car Smart for folks who want to buy a quality used vehicle and work with non-stereotypical "car salesman." We would definitely go back to Car Smart again.

When I was ready to leave it was -15 degrees, I was 150 miles away from home and I wanted someone to take a look at it before I left town. Stopped at Schwieters service and Brian got me right into a service bay. He had seen several fans get packed with snow and frozen lately so he had his technician remove the cab air filter and check the fan. Fan was ok and spun freely. He also checked the fuse and as it was ok also there was really nothing more he could do for me. I went to settle with him as there is usually a minimum charge for just getting the car inside. He said no charge! His tech had suggested stopping at a local retailer and pick up a small heater that plugs into the cigarette lighter. Between this small heater, my heated seats(still worked) and the general heat coming from the heater core I was really quite comfortable for my drive home that afternoon. Thanks again to the Schwieters Service Department for doing everything they could to get me back on the road.

Should not be long but a few days to get that done. 2.5 weeks later we returned to pick it up. A light bar on the top of the truck had been removed and it was not detailed. When asked about the light missing, they did not have an answer. The holes on the top of the truck look like they had been painted over to cover it up. The headliner would have to have been removed to remove the wiring. The switch was still on the dash though. They would not replace it and asked if we would accept a free oil change instead. Sorry, we wanted the truck as when we purchased it. Paid for it fully right away after the test drive. Was sold as is. They were not good on being honest and calling us to inform us of any delays or changes. We had to call many times to ask what was going on and why the delay. Dishonest! We will never do business with them again! We are still waiting on our plates. We will have to stop by and ask about them now. Very disappointed! Never been treated so poorly by a business.
