I purchased a 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD WT on 11/07/2025. The sales man showed me the carfax sheet. He also showed me that the dealership had changed the oil and a couple of other minor repairs. when I drove it off the lot I noticed the gas gauge was at just under 1/8. Every car I have ever purchased from a dealer has always come with a full tank of gas. I tried to fill the tank but the pump kept shutting off. I ignored the problem thinking it was the pumps fault. later tried to fill again at another station, again kept shutting down. Googled why I cant fill my tank, came back as a bad charcoal fuel line filter. Long story short when I had the car hooked up to an analyzer it showed the code had been erased before I bought the car. The dealership knew there was a $600 dollar repair needed but did not disclose the problem. I guess buyer beware is something to remember when dealing with used cars! read more

Looking for a minivan for a couple of months. Looked on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist, found nothing worth looking at. Somehow, got on car guru and found Carfax listed cars on Don Robinson Mitsubishi. Great pictures and Carfax online to checkout. Called after hours, and Mitch returned my call first thing the next morning. Told him what we were interested in and made a 2 hr ride over. Looked at 4 minivans and selected the one. We all needed a new car for our three-person household. My dad warned us to be wary of this place and while I usually follow his advice, Don Robinson Mitsubishi was the only dealer who advertised on their website that credit didn't matter; only whether you had a job (more on this later!). Since my roommate had a job and none of us had stellar credit, we headed on over anyway. We were all pleasantly surprised! Upon our entry into the shop, one of the salespeople greeted us kindly. Another salesperson came up and started helping us out. We began by looking at a used 2010 Subaru Impreza 2i Limited, which we loved...but (and here's where the above bit about the "credit didn't matter" comes in) the website was deceptive about the truth; they finance everything through a network of banks and your credit absolutely *DOES* matter; whether you have a job is inconsequential, so this is insanely deceptive and knocked a whole star off of my review. For whatever stupid reason, the banks won't approve a car that--in their eyes--isn't worth enough (used cars tend to be worth less in general) for people with lower credit without a monstrous down-payment, so they ended up having to approve us for a new car instead (talk about backwards logic); we ended up with a 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage Limited Edition, which actually ended up being even better than the Impreza! Lots of reviews online talk about how wonderful the Mirage is when it comes to features, safety and overall reliability, but trash on its speed, acceleration and power. I've found that the Mirage is a lot more powerful than everybody gives it credit for, despite its 3-cylinder engine. My only complaint is how crappy the speakers are (and no equaliser settings on the radio!), but I will eventually get the speakers replaced, at least. Anyway, with all of that out of the way, the salesperson and financiers got to work setting up the loan, while Mr. Don Robinson himself came out to greet us! I was shocked; I didn't know that the owner would be in the shop. Apparently that's a common thing for people purchasing cars here, though. It took a long time, but we eventually got our trade sorted, the paperwork signed and a payment plan hashed out. And then one of the financiers took us to finalise everything else, including an extended warranty, which he pushed. HARD. Half a star off for the hard push on the extended warranty, which is a shame, as the rest of the experience was really wonderful. We declined the extended warranty. Finally, a sales rep "delivered" (read: gave us a tour of the features) the Mirage Limited. This was very helpful and I learned how to do many things, including fiddle with the Apple Play features on the radio. However, he said a couple of things which took off another half-star from this review: he told us to always leave traction control on unless we're stuck in snow (total BS; turning that off gives you access to the engine's full power, which I like), to always keep the A/C on when running the front window defroster (more BS; you always keep the A/C turned OFF for defrosting)...and then he audaciously asked us to give him "all-ten-stars" on the review that would come from Mitsubishi Corporate, since "anything less--even all nines--is a fail for us." Umm...no. I told my roommate to give him what they thought they deserved (I would not have given all-ten-stars to Mitsubishi Corporate any more than I would have given five stars here). All in all, it was an extremely long but rewarding process. Everybody was friendly and the experience would absolutely have me going back again. But beware the deceptive advertising on the website, extended warranties being pushed...and sales reps asking for "all-ten-stars" for the Mitsubishi Corporate review. read more

Only buy one car from them if that. Are they friendly? yes. Do they appreciate repeat business? Of course. Could they be more transparent through the process? Yes. They could also try a lot harder if they have A customer that isn't satisfied. Talk is one thing. Action is another. If they screw you into a deal they should find a way to make you happy. They have no problem selling your trade in within 24 hours. They could do a much better job valuing their repeat business. Not belittling them for spending more money with their ungrateful dealership. Stay away if you've already bought from them. They don't care at that point. read more

There's a lot to like about Don Robinson. First, where else in town can you get a $9.88 oil change? Nowhere, that's where. There's one reason to use them for service. Second, if you need a loaner vehicle while yours is being repaired, Don Robinson will offer you one if they have one available. That's rare. Third, we recently stopped in to look at their used vehicles. I really enjoyed our time with the car salesman. There was no pushiness. He let us take our time, try out a few vehicles, and make our decisions as we needed to. No pressure. This place goes above and beyond with their customer service. Mike listened to what I wanted for a vehicle and found the car I wanted right away. I drove away that night. The next day I had been driving at night and found out that my lights were not coming on in the back. I called and talked to Mike again and they arranged to have Keith come to our home in Woodbury which is about 83 miles away to give me a loaner. Keith was knowledgeable and very personable. To my embarrassment, but relief, he was able to figure out that the lights didn't come on because this vehicle had a little different format than previously owned vehicles. Again both Keith and Mike were gracious. Jason in financing put up with all our questions about the protection plan and financing. I would drive there again in the future to get another vehicle. I have purchased multiple vehicles from this dealership over the years, and had my vehicles serviced and repaired there as well. It is a small dealership, but I have always felt welcomed and well-treated. I have generally dealt with Bill. They now are a Mitsubishi franchise, and last fall I bought a brand new vehicle from them. So far it has performed admirably, it was great to have AWD through this last winter. The new car prices are tough to turn down, especially when used prices have risen sharply in recent years. On top of that, add a 10yr 100,000 mile power train warranty (who does that these days?). As you read this intentionally deceptive advertising piece, you were instructed to scratch off to reveal 3-in-a-row symbols. If all three match, then you are a "Winner". You are then instructed to go to the dealership to pick up your prize, like a big-screen TV. Only upon arriving at the dealership, are you informed by a "marketing representative" that you are are NOT fact, the big prize winner. However, they will notify you at that point that in the fine print of the marketing piece that there are other terms. NOTE Nowhere on page one do they " * " anything or indicate that you have to read on. Went here to Don Robinson Mitsubishi this morning around 10:30 to 11:00am. Had planned to buy an Outlander, even had one picked out before hand. Walked around the parking lot for at least 15 minutes with no help. Went inside and was ignored by the entire staff for another 10 minutes. It was NOT BUSY. In fact when we first entered, the staff was milling around and there were no other people in there. I had my wife and 3 kids with me, but I made the mistake of going looking for a vehicle with a scruffy beard and a Batman baseball cap that my kids gave me. Clearly I was not the type of customer they were looking for. Left there, went to Miller Auto Plaza. Was helped within 1 minute, found a vehicle to fit my needs within 15 minutes, and purchased it today. The worst thing is when I was clean shaven and dressed descent this summer I had been stopped by 2 people in less than 5 minutes when I went to Don Robinson Mitsubishi, so I have to assume my appearance was the reason I was treated like a ghost today. Your loss. I have already told all my family and friends about this, so you can figure on having lost more than one sale. Thanks for making my decision on where to purchase a vehicle for me.
