It's too bad they had to bury their beautiful work. They promised one day of prep, one day of pipe pulling to replace my old clay pipe with new pipe, and one day for the city's inspection and their cleanup. Everything went according to plan, and I believe their price was reasonable. I waited for decades to take care of this problem because I thought that it would be enormously expensive to dig up the entire 30' from my house to the sidewalk. That would produce enough dirt to cover almost 1/2 of my front yard. I considered pipe lining, but I was concerned that I couldn't clear any future problems with a snake without damaging the lining. Instead of digging a major trench or lining the old drain, Mattucci dug a hole at each end of the old pipe and pulled the new pipe from hole to hole. The STD-17 pipe they used is both flexible for installation and very strong for a very long lifetime afterwards and no more roots. They discussed the plans ahead of time with the city senior inspector before beginning work, so there were no problems with the city permit or the final inspection. Tyler, Olsi and Matt had previously completed many pipe pulls similar to mine, so there were no hiccups or price increases. I was surprised how much effort they spent on the third day repacking the dirt and cleaning up their work. They had saved patches of grass before they initially dug the two holes and they put each patch back exactly where it came from. Except for the newly installed cleanouts, there was no sign of the extensive work they had performed during the previous three days. I was impressed and very happy with their work. For a complex job like this one, I would definitely go with Mattucci again.

He was very responsive, answering the phone when called and fitting me into the schedule to evaluate the problem, gave me two viable options and clear rationale which was his recommendation. He was very willing to work with the leak detection guy I hired separately. He did the repair efficiently and effectively, starting with a small hole to minimize cutting of the existing driveway while he confirmed the actual location of the leak -- which turned out to be a bit off-center to where the leak detection guy had marked; Armando then made an appropriately sized saw cut, enabling access to make the repair while minimizing disruption to access to our garage during the repair. He did a solid job on the concrete patch when it was all done. He completed it in less than the time he allocated, and was a great communicator throughout the process. Finally and importantly, his estimate was one of the lowest of the 4 estimates I received and he stuck with the estimate.

Jose answered and set me up with Rolando. Rolando came on Thursday. He discovered that the Drain Pipe going to the main line was completely clogged. This pipe was underneath the house at the crawlspace. He also discovered that shower was leaking from the top level to the crawlspace. He stated that the grout is cracked causing the water to seep in and out. He quoted me $1700 to fix everything. Meaning changing and replacing the clogged shower drain pipe to the main pipe. Regrouting the shower tiles. I agreed, set up the 2nd schedule for Friday 03.06.2026. Rolando took about 4 to 5 hours to fix everything. He was a young man with experience. Changed drain pipe and regrouted! I dont know much about piping. I am ignorant when it comes to pricing. It just had to get done. I had no time for 2nd quotes. Finger crossed I wasn't overcharged lol. Overall, I would call back for piping service. This is the 2nd time I called this company. First time was my kitchen sink that was clogged. The good thing is I have 90 days of warranty from the time of fix. I really dont know if I still have problems to call back the plumber. The only way to really find out is to crawl underneath the house. Overall, pleased with uncertainty. So far so good.

This job was bungled so badly I had to write about it. I bought a new washer and dryer from Costco…read morebut when the team came to install it they said the valves were too old and corroded to use, that I needed to get them repaired before they would complete the installation. I called Right Time and they assured me when they came out that they could do the repair and also install the appliances. But it wasn't just valves. The pipes were forty years old and they would need to open the wall to bring the plumbing up to modern code. Again, they said they could do the entire job including wall repair, finish painting and appliance installation. Their quote was high, $2,500 but fair given the size of the job. I agreed to the contract. Things went South from there. No one showed up and I had to call and hunt them down, there was a communication issue with their dispatcher. They came late, but they did show up. This was not the main plumber, they were on the phone with him a LOT getting advice on how to do the job, but they eventually finished the pipes. The wall repair was so sloppy I could have done it better myself and I have no skills in that area. Then there was a problem getting the texture coating to stick and they tried to charge me an extra $250 to "redo" the wall. I refused and paid them to go buy a can of spray texture and paint at Home Depot for fifty bucks. When they finally left it looked like a rank amateur with no talent had done the repair, and the cover plate for the valves wouldn't stay on. So the next day they came out, started hammering and chipping away at the new spackle, then gave up and just glued the plate onto the wall. You can still see the damage from all the whittling they did. I wish this were the end of the story, but it's not! When I tried to do a load of laundry the machine started banging and moving all over the floor during the spin cycle. The noise was deafening, and the machine shook so much it pulled the drain out and flooded the area. At first I thought it was a defective washer, then I realized these nitwits never took out the transit bolts that are used to stabilize the drum during shipping. The thing basically imploded. Costco had to come out and install a replacement, and they said the installation was incorrect, that they'd used an extension cord which was forbidden. I wish this were the end of the story, but it's not! The old drain was cast iron, the replacement is ABS plastic. They did not wrap the pipes in any sound deadening material and my town house neighbor with the shared wall said it is intrusively loud. I wish that were the end of the story, but it's not! A few days later, when I started the dryer I could feel a warm breeze. The incorrectly installed dryer vent had fallen off already, I am waiting for Costco to come out and reinstall it tomorrow. I know they're called Right Time, but this job was the Wrong Place at the Wrong Time.
