Place is usually busy, which is good. They use great Covid precautions. I ordered the GG Express, the Jay Ray and the Turkey Salad Sandwich. GG expressed the Turkey Salad are cold sandwiches and Jay Ray is a hot one. The Turkey Salad and Jay Ray are my favorite. SOOO GOOD. I don't think I'd order the GG again. Who doesn't love a good sandwich? I think the only problem you'll have at here is actually making a decision. The sheer number of possible sandwich opportunities - a hallmark of Millburn Deli - could very well be your downfall. Should you get something new? "I always get (insert your favorite sandwich here) at other delis...is this the time to deviate? Explore? Get creative?" Should you stick with old reliable? "Maybe...but what if I've grown complacent with old reliable and am subconsciously looking for 'new reliable'? Is now the time?" At this point, the line is out the door and, cracking under pressure, you order... Well, it's up to you. Check out the menu beforehand and try to at least narrow it down. Like, walk in knowing if you want a hot or cold sandwich. That should help. Me? I've yet to try a pressed sandwich, I think I hang out more towards old reliable. Turkey, Roast Beef, L, T, O, P, Mayo, Mustard. Crusty, hearty bread. Plus, a small container of tuna to go and a small container of pickles to go. The pickles are amazing. The menu is close to legendary, and somehow the organized chaos behind the counter just works. It's worth a drive even if you find yourself "not so close" to Millburn. COVID stuff: You can order ahead, but the line of people waiting to pick up (at 2:25pm) was insane on our last visit. I'm not sure how much time that will save. We opted to wait in the normal line to get in, and they have a pretty strict limit on the number of people allowed in so while it may look long...it's not that long. However, while we were there, waiting dutifully in line to get in, we found that a number of people completely disregarded directions to stay outside and walked right in to inquire about their order, all despite signage indicating that is the opposite of what one should do. I bought a tuna on whole wheat sweet pickles lettuce tomatoes. One side of the bread was hard. I came in and was told I couldn't get a refund. I need to email a complaint and because I said I wanted a refund the very rude woman just staired at me with confusion. She said I didn't have to be angry. Sloppy Joes are one of my favorite sandwiches to eat, so I was excited to find out that MD makes a really good one. I read that this place gets really busy, so I called ahead to place my order. The food was pretty good. One sloppy joe is really enough for two people so keep that in mind! The sloppy joes came with one small piece of a pickle which was disappointing. This is the first deli that I've been to that does not give you a pickle with your sandwich! And for what they charge, you would think they would give you TWO! I've been to Millburn Deli a few times before the pandemic, but this is my first time since the pandemic started and the food and service is still as good as ever! My friend and I ordered via their website (they use a service called ChowNow that does not take commissions per order from the restaurant) and was able to get to the restaurant just in time for the food to be done preparing. FYI there are separate entrances for pick up vs going into the deli and ordering/purchasing something there. My friend ordered the Tuscan Chicken Sandwich and I ordered the Santa Fe Sandwich and both sandwiches were fresh and hot when we picked them up. We also picked up two Millburn Deli Homemade Iced Teas which were pretty good but a tad bit too sweet for my own liking (to each their own). The ingredients in the sandwich all tasted good and fresh, and overall all of the special sandwiches I've tried from them so far were all good!!! I particularly loved the Santa Fe Sandwich and recommend it to anyone who loves avocado and chicken and etc in their sandwich (which is also pressed!!). I went with their famous "Gobbler" which is carved turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce on rye bread. There was too much cranberry sauce and it over powered the sandwich. I would go with something else next time. I also tried a sloppy joe with pastrami which I liked better. I would get the coleslaw on the side. I also tried their blueberry crumb cake and peanut butter brownie which were both very good and at $2.50 each. Prices are very reasonable and service is friendly. Stopped by to grab a sandwich for the day and a few as meal prep for the week! The sandwiches were all delicious and held up super well in the fridge for a day or two. I tried the urban cowboy, the perfect 10, and the soprano. My favorite has to be the urban cowboy - something about the quality of the meat and mustard they used really made me excited for my next bite, and this will definitely be a sandwich that makes it into my regular rotation here. The focaccia they used in the perfect 10 was outstanding - it was flakey, flavorful, and complemented the sandwich perfectly. The soprano was good, but I definitely enjoyed the other two more! The place was busy when I went closer to closing time, but service was fast and efficient. Prices felt relatively fair for the quality of the food and the size, as each sandwich was about two portions for me! I'll definitely stop by the next time I'm craving a hoagie. read more

I have been here so many times. There's so much to try, but I always come back to the Godfadda and am never disappointed (The picture I took doesn't do it justice). It is one of the best things I've ever eaten. It has chicken cutlet, bacon, and mozzarella. It's so so delicious. I LOVE IT! I always think about trying other things, but I just love my Godfadda too much... People tend to pair their sandwiches with the store brand iced tea which is good! It's typically really crowded during peak times. It can get loud and definitely quite crowded and you have to grab a number and listen for your number so you can order your sandwich and get out of there. They are also only open until 6pm so it's a better spot for lunch. Sometime in the last year or two, they opened the place right next door to their original store and that is for pick-ups. I haven't used it yet, but that definitely seems useful since the lines are often quite long, but it goes by reasonably fast. You can see the staff at millburn deli who make the sandwiches tend to get a bit impatient if people miss their number or aren't ready to order or whatever, but other than that, the staff are usually super nice and pleasant. They have outdoor and indoor seating which is super nice. They also have Taylor park located in the backyard of this restaurant/store so I often times like to go sit over there and enjoy the park. read more
