You can never go wrong with Oscar's. All the food is freshly prepared and cooked. From breakfast platters to sandwiches to full meals. The service is impeccable. The wait staff takes orders and even the cook takes orders directly. Only during lunch times do you have to wait but never more than 15 min. The ambiance is that of an old time diner with counter seats and tables. This place gives diners a run for their money and it's worth it.

I love local eateries. Those places that locals know about that fall under the radar because of other big name places in the neighborhood. Oscar's Deli is that place. Located right on Millburn Avenue in Millburn, NJ, Oscar's is a gem. It has a nice unassuming exterior but the interior feels like a true city deli with a nice long counter for customers to sit and eat. I work right down the road so I opt for pick up but I've eaten in there plenty of times and was always treated quickly and warmly. Now the food. I normally go for sandwiches as this is what I'm always in the mood for but they got everything here and it's always good. My cheese steak sandwich is hefty and filled and always flavorful and delicious. My sweet potato fries were cooked to my order as I asked for them to be extra crispy and well done. And of course I topped it off with delicious Joe Tea. If you're ever in the Millburn area. Ya gotta visit Oscar's Deli. It's truly a must. Until next time! Enjoy the meal!

I picked this spot to get lunch. I ordered online and got the grilled eggplant wrap with fries. I picked up the food at 12:45 and it was only about $11. The parking in the area was terrible so had to park illegally. I walked in and they honored the free drink I got at check in. The server and manager were nice but very busy. I grabbed my food and left. When I dug in I was a litle disappointed. The fries were salty and the wrap wasn't great. I ate it because I was hungry and it was filling but I won't get this meal again.

On my second visit, I tried the blackened shrimp and corn cakes, and that dish alone inspired me to finally leave a review. Every ingredient was so vibrant and delightful, with flavors that complimented each other beautifully. The sweet corn cakes combined with the heat of the shrimp and the creamy avocado were perfect. The various textures made each bite even better. My friend also loved the american waygu burger. The place was pretty packed around 4:30 pm on a Saturday, but service was still pretty quick. Our waitress was also super sweet and attentive. Definitely one of the best dinners I've had in the area. Amazing spot!!

My nephew who lives nearby treated us to an al fresco meal recently while visiting for a family event. My pulled pork smashed burger was everything you want in a packed meat sandwich, with an onion ring and tangy sauce on the brioche bun. The sweet potato fries and a refreshing mocktail to drink made for a perfect meal. Sweetie ate a pasta bolognese (I think) which looked and ate good, and drowned it with a nice glass of red wine. It was packed on the Friday night we visited, with folks lined up for seating, or to hang at the bar and enjoy the bar scene. No reservations. Our late dinner worked fine as the mostly millennial and Gen-Z crowd started thinning shortly after we arrived. Millburn has always been a draw for neighboring townsfolk in search of a meal out. I remember this foodie town from 25 years ago, when its pizza, kosher and diner offerings were top notch. It seems to have upgraded its food scene several notches since my last visit so many years ago. Pure nostalgia for me which made for a very flavorful evening. TOP TIP: Street parking in this part of town is a hassle and the local cops keep a sharp eye for illegally parked cars and inebriated drivers. So park further away from the center of town where you are more likely to snag a legal spot on a busy night.

I left her a 25% tip, but after I left I felt she deserved more. Speaking of tips, their suggested tip at bottom of receipt is based the check price after taxes. This is stated on the check... The drinks: We decided to start with drinks. My friend had the Moscow mule and I had the Bloody Mary. My bloody Mary was very good and strong and came with 3 huge olives. The olives tasted fresh. I've had weird tasting olives in other places. I liked it so much, I had another. Big mistake... My friend liked her Moscow Mule. The food: I had the turkey burger with bacon and avocado and truffle fries. The burger was cooked to perfection. It was not dry, but juicy without being under cooked. The bacon was perfect and the slices of avocado were fresh. My friend ordered the Ham Benedict. I didn't taste it but she said it was very good. The eggs looked perfectly done. That came with a side of potatoes. I think this will be my new brunch spot when I come to visit North Jersey. I recommend them.

The Garlic Knots are so delicious; the knots are so fluffy and soft though firm like chewing savory (more so texture wise) cotton candy that does not dissolve. With every bite, flavoring seems to improve, especially with the soft though thicker than thinner more savory than sweet tomatoe-ish sauce. From my order experience, the mozzarella after flavor lingers with the garlic after flavor for about 30 and 40 hours. Yum, though I prefer the garlic more so than the mozzarella, all quite tasty.
