Meh - It's a so, so mall. Really NOT something for everyone. What brings me back to this mall from 45 minutes away is this mall has a Reitman's store that gets all the clearance items from West Ed and Kingsway so it makes it worth my while for work clothing. Barely anything has changed in Millwoods Town Center since I first came to Edmonton a decade ago. Time always seems to come to a halt when you step into MTC. Maybe it's because there's so much space yet so few people. You know a mall isn't that great when a Shopper's Drug Mart is the biggest highlight. You're not going to find anything special here, just the usual suspects: Zellers, HMV, Safeway, The Source, and a whole bunch of cellphone kiosks. No, I'm serious, that's it. Ok, fine, Little kids seem to have the time of their lives here though. There's an indoor jungle gym that tykes seem to go gaga for. Don't be afraid if you hear high-pitched screams; it's not a fire, it's just them having a good time. I guess it's a great place for parents to relax and let their kids loose. To be honest, the only reason I always seem to find myself here it because its so darn close to my house, and I can get very (very) lazy at times. Plus, I'm usually dropping my sisters at the library or going grocery shopping. If you really want to do some shopping, I'd suggest heading to Southgate (for clothes especially) or the obvious West Edmonton Mall. read more

This mall used to be a ghost zone, but I have noticed that it is much busier now. I think they did a lot of renovations. I find that there are always a lot of children running around this mall. There is a large play area just outside the food court so it can get pretty loud and rowdy. If you are looking for a quiet lunch, avoid this place at all costs. The stores are decent, definitely not something to write home about, but they will get you buy if you are close to this mall and don't want to travel to southgate. Some of the stores include: shoppers drug mart, Bentley Leather, The Source, Rogers, Telus, Bell, Winners, Safeway, Claires, Shoe Warehouse, Fabricland and Dollarama. This mall doesn't have much to offer. I can't think of going here for anything other than Safeway or HMV. It's a pretty spacious mall which makes it look really empty. It doesn't have any clothing stores worth talking about. It maybe has 3 clothing stores and sports wear store. The rest of the shops are pretty random, a pet shop, a luggage store, a things you've seen on TV store. It's a good mall to go to if you need to kill some time but not for actually shopping. read more

I despise this mall. This unfortunately the closest shopping centre to my home and it has been all my life. Over the years this location has steadily worsened with the removal of modern, moderately priced stores to many stores/places that my age group and even my mothers find painfully un interesting. With the closing of HMV the added number of random cellphone and foreign items kiosks and so many repeat stores (multiples) it's hard to even want to go here. I believe the only reason that teen girls want to shop here is because of the Ardenes. Mostly this mall is somewhat dirty at all times with garbage on the food court tables always just sitting there. Also since the removal of the failing business that was target the building has a completely ugly exterior with a broken building just being a huge eye sore on the side. Recently I heard rumours about town centre being taken down completely for city transit. I would not object. read more

As far as malls go, I didn't get to wander around, had to pop in for the bank machine. Parking is plentiful, and for a Saturday wasn't overcrowded. Nice clean bright space. I would drop back if I'm in the area again. read more

I moved to Millwoods in about 2007 so this has been my "neighbourhood" mall for quite some time now. I'm so sad to see the downward slope it's been on for the last few years. The biggest change that I have a problem with is when Target took over Zellers and they closed off the second mall entrance down by M&M/Safeway (now Co-Op). I'm sure that there was some brilliant reason for doing this... but I can't wrap my head around it. That hallway down to Co-Op/M&M is like no-man's land now. More and more storefronts are closed with no indication of if/when a new retailer is opening up. There used to be a pretty cool play area next to the food court and it was ALWAYS full of kids. But a year or two ago, they took it out. I can only imagine the potential issues that it could have caused, but I was still really sad to see it go. It really added life to an otherwise quiet and pretty drab mall. There aren't a lot of choices in the food court, but I am really happy to see an Extreme Pita which has been there for as long as I can remember, offering a healthier choice. And there has been a sign on the corner booth where Mary Brown's used to be, stating that Subway is coming. That will be a great addition as well. Although, I was very sad when Mary Brown's closed up shop. Overall... it's fine. I do wonder what will happen to the large space currently occupied by the library when the new location opens up by the transit centre. read more

Millwoods Town Centre is dying pretty quickly. I think the only reason it still sees traffic is because of its location. The only reason I go to Millwoods Town Centre is to let my niece play in the small playground located in the centre of the mall. If you have small children or babysit a lot, it's a good place to take the little ones on a cold Edmonton day. As for stores, the only thing I ever go into here is Winners. And even then , this particular location of Winners is not a great one. Like I said, I'm surprised it's still in operation. It's far from being in the top 3 malls in the city. read more

I like this place, bec. it is not too crowded. Prices are reasonable too. So many deals ongoing. You got one stop shopping in here, from food, clothing and medications,clinic, and health stuff. My favourite store is the health food store with a diverse selection of supplements and knowledgeable staff, which they' re open in a different name and management called "Vitality Health". I hope more stores are opening in the next few years.. read more

Mill Woods Town Center, this mall surprises me. It's got the makings of a great mall, and they regularly have events similar to bigger malls, Bob the builder, Dora, we even saw Fred Penner there. The only thing I can say is that it's a little dated and some of their design decisions make me very confused, First, they took out the play structure from the central court, it was huge and my kids loved it for many years. Poof, gone! Next is the removal of several thousand square feet of storefront, maybe 25 feet facing across two main walkways, back to back. They cleared out a SportsMart area after the place left, and they placed carpet on the floor, put gyprock on all the walls and finished the ceiling. Lighting, etc done to allow ample visibility. The area is like a strange misshapen hallway that's 25 feet wide, and about 100 feet long connecting the area where M&M and safeway are, to the Dollarama main walkway. It wasn't really that far to walk around to get to them in the first place, and there's enough room to put to fairly large stores there. *Head Scratch* The stores are enough to keep you busy, and there are some staple stores like Safeway, Shoppers Drug Mart, there's a postal outlet in the dry cleaner's, a fairly diverse food court, given the size of this mall, including New York Fries, A&W, Taco Time and newly added are a Subway, and a Tim Horton's. Mom n Pop restaurants seem to come and go there, currently there's one serving donairs and pasta. Across the way is a cafe beside the clock repair shop that serves the usual coffee and tea, and 'goat curry'. Because that's how we roll in the 'Woods, beeeawwwwch Those annoying kiosks are set up in most of the main walkways, Koodo, the mini helicopter guy who flies the thing around the mall. The phone case guy, the cell phone accessories guys, and there's always one somewhere selling frilly flowery things in a cup. So weird. The worst is the ones that dress their employees in white dress shirts / blouses and black pants / skirts and they try to get you to sit down for a free facial or try their wet slimy hand soap. They all seem to be of the same origin, perhaps Morrocan, I can't tell. Must be a cult. There's a 'Slinky dresses and clubwear' place, the manikins make me feel awkward when I walk by. They need a sweater on those dresses badly. The library moved out of their cramped spot on the North lot to a new spankling new building across the parking lot, you should check it out! I am almost willing to bet that anything you need can be found there, or one of their other mini outcroppings that are still part of the MWTC, that was even more true when Target was a tenant *Le sigh*, but I digress. Like I said, if you want to kill some time, this mall can keep you busy for a few hours. read more

I grew up around this mall and have probably been to it hundreds of times over the last 20 years. I remember when it used to have a Zellers, then Target. I remember when this mall was a must go to, it had pretty much everything you could think of. I have such fond memories of going store to store on the hunt of that "rare" TY Beanie Baby because there were so many different shops inside that carried them. It truly was one of my favourite shopping malls and I was so happy I lived so close to it. My heart breaks when I see what this mall has become. Aside from the groups of people who are constantly loitering around outside of shops all day long, you have an entire row of stores all just selling cell phones! That row used to have Mom and Pop stores, now it's Rogers, Bell, Virgin, Etc... So when you walk down that row now you get them all either constantly coming up to you nagging you about how you should sign up with them OR you see them all just sitting there not caring chatting/texting & playing games on their phones. I had to get a cell phone case once from Rogers and it was like how dare I completely waste their time. This person was on their phone the entire time we were talking, and when I asked a question regarding if the cell phone case was waterproof, I got the response of "I don't know! Why don't you google it?" then turned their back to me and went back to texting. This mall was once a mall you'd want to bring your family to, now it's a mall you go to when you've got absolutely no other choice to pick up something. This mall used to be fantastic, now it's just dirty and trashy. read more

I have been going to Mill Woods Town Centre for years. It is a fairly busy mall and for the life of me cannot figure out why? There are no mainstream shops there. There are several shops that you never see a single person in (probably because the clothes look like they are for hookers and pimps). There are now no card shops, no regular clothes shops, no shop to buy childrens clothing, no mainstream shops for teenagers, no place to buy regular things like socks and underwear and towels etc for the household. Oh but we have three or four jewelry stores and two nail places lol. Like I said there really isn't much to shop there for but people still come so I cannot understand why they are having such a hard time leasing their empty spaces? read more

This mall, while quite small but still pretty clean, could use a little bit more discretion when picking security officers to work for the facility. Maybe the tall younger guy who was chatting with his little blonde friend (or girlfriend) about how mukluks are for fat women only. Especially since I was standing right there, looking directly at you, and I'm sorry I'm not very small. This incident, and outright rudeness by an employee has downright disgusted me to the point where I will never do business there, nor recommend anyone to go. read more

I love Towne Centre Mall. The only other mall we have close is Millbourne Mall and it's terrible. Towne Centre has lots of different stores, a decent food fair, a place for kids to play and much more. It has a nice bright atmosphere as well. This is not the mall to go to if you are on a major clothes shopping trip. We have lived here for 20 years and this mall has always been busy and fun for the locals. The Phone Repair shop of CHAT-R are worst unprofessional business there, they opened an apple phone, which voided the warranty for which we paid $300, This processor may last another six month ,and a new phone will be better than to replace the processor by costs comparison. The apple store repair man (Technician) said that the speaker and processor were both heavily scratched as if the sim card was stuck and someone used very crude instruments to pry it open. The apple Technician called this man a "DIMWIT" and that "He should focus on repairing rotary dial landline phone because smart phones are way out of his league" with those instruments and he should not even be allowed to work on cordless landline phones (also out dated technology)as he may damage even those. LOL The Mall should take note that I am a Commissioner licensed by Alberta Justice, Just from Alberta Consumer laws he has broken at least 3 laws, that I know about. A License to do business in ALBERTA is a privilege not a automatic guaranteed right, and comes with contingencies I.E. any transaction of five cents or $100 Million Dollars has to be done in accordance to each and every , law, regulation, ordinance even guidelines. (Municipal, Provincial and Federal). CHAT-R should also review there policy for franchisee buying and selling used phone and spare parts for phones or repairing any phones in there stores. Maybe they should stick to only selling new CHAT-R phone and service plans, I hope they are not messing that up too. Maybe CHAT-R is so desperate to stay open that they will give any Dimwit a franchise. The MALL should take note of any public complaints that makes a shopping experience a nightmare compared to other MALLS. When my daughter was leaving SAM said to the bearded guy in HINDI, "this woman is looking for someone to blame and black mail money from us". Then they laughed at my daughter as she was leaving. Perhaps they know that the Office of the attorney General will never start an investigation for $1,000 or smaller frauds. So on Monday they will have my official report for their records, if other incidents happen, they may open an investigation based on a "REPEATED PATTERNS" of fraudulent behaviour opposing Consumer Act. If they are not issuing receipts for these repair services and not charging the GST, that maybe a Violation against Federal CRA GST laws. Who knows, and who cares. Just best avoid this place and perhaps the mall. Who knows what their policies anyways. Kesh Mani. I have lived in Millwoods for most of my life and has been the mall for me! Lots of friendly people and pleasant atmosphere! Mill;woods Town Centre is a unique place to do your shopping with a few really good varieties! Showcase, Fabric land, and a new Dragon FX Tattoo shop the first in the area! I would recommend anyone to check it out! And if you are a family with little ones bring them to the taekwondo studio! So friendly some of my friends children go there and its amazing for them! read more

I've been going to this mall for years as I spent my young adulthood and childhood living in the Southside. This mall has seen better days. It's kind of cool that they renovated a part of the mall where Zellers used to be but then it's just a huge empty hallway with a nail salon. I feel like the mall has better potential but it's really been feeling cheap and neglected. There's always a lot of people just mall-ratting it up in the food court and they can be there for hours. This mall is in need of some major TLC and better anchor stores besides the new Timmy's that opened up here (that's a band-aid). read more

Millwoods Town Centre has alot of stores, they have a Zellers, Shoppers Drug Mart, Fabric store, M&M's Food Store, Safeway, Canadian Tire just outside of it, and a Sears outlet, not to mention all of the smaller stores , mostly clothing. I came in just to pick up a couple items, and I ended up staying a whole lot longer then I anticipated. Although I don't really live in the area, Millwoods has a pretty good mall, I think its alot better then other neighborhood malls. And I came out buying things that I had no intentions of buying prior. So Millwoods Mall did their job. They even have a good size indoor play park for the little ones, right next to the food court. This is a small shopping mall on the east side of Edmonton in Mill Woods. Great since it has a Target, Safeway, Canadian Tire and GoodLife Gym. I go here for most Saturday's as I attend one of the group classes at the GoodLife Gym and then sometimes stroll thru the mall. If you are looking for all the basics, you will not find them here, as it mostly has smaller less popular merchants, but you will find Reitmans, Pandora and a few other health stores inside. They do have a food court and also a few restaurants so you can easily meet friends for a coffee or a meal. Not a hit for shopping with the girls on a Saturday but a good spot to grab a few items on the way home from work. read more

I spent ALOT of years while in post secondary working at this mall and made some great memories so it really saddens me to see the downward slope that it is heading. It has all the typical chain stores like Safeway,Canadian Tire,and now Target that make it a weekly stop for folks who live in the area but inside of the mall is starting to resemble a ghost town. There are alot of empty store's and no signs in the front windows that indicate new merchants are coming anytime soon to fill the empty space. Even the indoor play park that seemed to help with bringing in the family crowd has been removed. The food court does have the most healthy alternative options of any of the smaller community malls that I have seen and like Kristin mentioned they do have a fairly large Reitmans with a good selection of clearance. Other then that I can't really think of any other stores worth noting here...the HMV and Coles are tidy but very small and don't have alot of the selection that you would find at other locations. This is a good mall to get errands done like groceries or tire changes but if your looking for a day long shopping adventure to replace a whole wardrobe head to Southgate or South Common. read more

Does this mall need anymore jewelry stores??? That's all that's in this mall. The Target has no inventory (I can't believe I am saying this but I actually miss Zellers! Atleast they had stock!) So many vacant spots recently in this mall.. The pet store "Play Pen Pets" has a variety of different items but very over-priced. "Game City" has very knowledgable friendly staff.Great customer service.Need more sales though! The only good woman's clothing store is Reitman's.(I think this actually might be the only woman's clothing store). Dollar store and Shopper's is handy. HMV is not bad. They seem to have lowered there prices. Library is very dated. Good thing they're building a new one. The tailor in the mall is very good.I use her all the time. The Shoe Warehouse never has mine or my son's size in stock. Coles has hardly any stock either. Can never find books that I'm looking for. There is very limited stores in this mall. Good place to just stop and pick up a couple things. Not good for a day of shopping. Need more trendy stores!! read more
