I got the make your own burger with meat patty, grilled onions, pickles, and special sauce. It was pretty good in all honesty. I did have it to go so all I can tell you is the food was pretty good. I don't know how much I can actually recommend it. The best thing it is down town Cinci so it's decent enough to go to for lunch.
We got the two Milkman burgers but at 8.99 I expected more topping than just cheese, pickles and sauce. Wife was smarter and got the kids meal burger. Same size but no cheese, but came with fries for $10! Better deal - so I recommend you get that and some onion rings. We liked their onion rings. Also the sauces you have to pay for (one dollar!) , except for ketchup and mayo. THAT SUCKS--cuz they seem to have some interesting ones.
Solid burger. Delicious fries. And can never go wrong with a shake. I did the milkman burger with traditional fries and their house sauce. They moved quick even though they were busy. We ate outside. Preferred that over the indoor diner vibe.
Absolutely love milkman! It's a consistent experience every time and I love the food! I get the deluxe burger with no bun and a side of fries with their house sauce and wow! My favorite part is that they are smash burgers and filled with flavor. The restaurant itself is in the heart of OTR and very clean. All of the servers are always super nice and provide great service to the customers.
Service was fast and friendly! I ordered the milkman burger and onion rings. The sauce for the onion rings had a nice smokey flavor too it, a little kick but not too bad. Burger had great flavor. My friend ordered fries as her side. They were crisp and flavorful and the dipping sauce that came with them was a mild but yummy flavor.
Parked at the Casino and walked straight down to this hidden gem. I know it is OTR but don't let that throw you off. Outdoor and indoor seating - and food was served up delicious!
Milkman, you were so, so, so good to me! I've never been into the restaurant, though I have gotten DoorDash once before. It was as delicious as I wanted it to be! When my friend and I walked in, we were greeted by such a sweet staff who immediately welcomed us in, shared their thoughts on the menu (since we were first-timers), and suggested we leave a review (they were so lovely, so how could we not!) The entire restaurant feels like the diner Sam worked at in Cinderella Story from the early 2000s - very vintage, very retro, very 50s! It's what I imagine restaurants looking like when my grandparents went on dates when they were my age. I had gotten the tofu nugs via DoorDash, which were better IRL and the milkshake was scrumptious too! My friend got the Milkman Burger, fries, and a fruity pebbles shake. It was all great but let me tell ya...we had this meal almost two weeks ago and I'm STILL dreaming of those French fries. I have had so many iterations of fried potato before...shoestring, steak, wedges, sweet potato, those made from yuca, curly, dipped in ice cream, etc. and these are the best fries I've had in my life. If I could live off the fries, I would. They were that good. I already have plans to share this place with other friends of mine as it has officially worked its way into the rotation for me!
I gave a 4 star because they left the pickles off my burger! Besides that, this smashburger was DELISH! Hit all the right spots(well after adding pickles at home) sauce with fries was amazing! We ordered ahead of time and picked up our order. Fast friendly service! Great new place we found and very please! Thank you
greeted immediately, ordered and sat down and food came almost instantly, it was amazing how quickly actually, burger was juicy and cripsy, the green chili salsa actually was a great addition. the bacon was crispy and so were the french fries, they were seasoned well and the price was very consumer friendly. 2 burgers fries and drink for $26, not bad and got me feeling great as it was filling but not heavy. music and ambiance was great felt like an old time diner, I would definitely come back as the burger was delicious.
I wasn't sure what I wanted for lunch but I needed lunch, so when I saw a smashburger on Google Maps, I was sold! I told a friend of mine that I think this is the best burger I've ever had in my life! I didn't even get to the fries until I inhaled the burger, and they were still warm and perfectly cooked! The place is moderately busy for 2:00 on a Friday afternoon. The staff was very nice, from the cashier to the busser who offered to clean off my table for me. Drinks are bottled by the register and I opted for a Dasani instead of a milkshake that they make by hand. Trying to be healthy. I'm also trying not to come back here every day for the next few days I'm in the city. Well done, Milkman!
I was visiting Cincinnati for a conference and Milkman popped up online as a good, affordable local spot. The restaurant has a good old diner feel and it's kept super clean. The staff are friendly and make everything to order. I was expecting to like the food but it turned out to be some of the best fast food I've ever had. The veggie burger isn't some outsourced patty. It has a full, rich flavor and the dark red color seems to come from beets but you don't get a strong beet flavor at all. The texture is smooth but close to a burger patty. They smash it just like their burgers. My partner also liked the Milkman burger and thought the smash patty was really good. The fries are crispy and flavorful and the shake was amazing. I was surprised how much butterfinger they put into the shake. I highly recommend stopping by Milkman if you're in Cincinnati.
Now that was enjoyable. First visit had to include a boozy shake and a double smashburger with American. Went for their Expresso-Self shake with ESPRESSO LIQUEUR, SPICED RUM, AMARO, WHIPPED CREAM, BITTERS, COCOA POWDER. Very creamy and delicious. I like the meat to shine and passed on the toppings, except some pickles on the side. I was very impressed with the flavor and the texture was perfect. Bun wasn't overpowering and capped it off perfectly. Service was pretty good but they didn't make my shake until I was finished and asked for it a second time. Was worth the wait. Spacious booths and a nice patio area out front.
Classic spot with great milkshakes and burgers. Price is a little high, paying almost a dollar to get lettuce added. Downtown fun. I recommend.
I was in town for work and being a vegetarian, my coworker suggested we try Milkman. I checked it out on Yelp and after reading the reviews, I was sold. I loved that they had veggie friendly options to choose from and when I arrived, I discovered the cutest restaurant with a total old-school vintage vibe from floor to ceiling. They clearly have a theme and I was into it. I ordered a "fried tofu" chicken sandwich. Fun fact, I hear they use CinSoy products for their vegetarian options. Oh, and I also got some fries. The fries were good and I liked the dipping sauce. My sandwich wasn't bad but it could've been better if the size of the tofu wasn't as thick. It was over an inch thick and at that size the crispy fried outside was drowning in the mushy tofu inside. Ya get my drift? If it was half as thick, it would be perfect. But, that's just me. I would definitely come back and try other things in the future. I clearly need to try one of their boozy shakes. read more

I know they're known for their burgers which don't get me wrong are fantastic (probably my favorite place to get smash burgers) but I keep coming back for their chicken sandwiches - specifically their rendition of the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. Confidently say for the price point, size, and taste - it's the best fried chicken sandwich in the city. The spice is perfect, it's huge, and so crispy. 10/10 would recommend!! read more
Solid spot to come grab a weekday lunch!! I've been meaning to make it out to Milkman since it opened - and finally got the opportunity. A friend and I arrived about 30 minutes after they opened on a Monday morning - just before their lunch rush picked up. I went with their "Spicy" burger - and liked it a lot! The meat itself was cooked well - I love a smashburger with a nice crust. The pepper jack cheese and jalapenos were a nice touch - and gave the burger just enough heat without being overwhelming. The bacon inside was thin and extra crispy. While the burger slapped - the fries were actually my favorite part of this lunch! Cooked and seasoned perfectly, they're served with a tasty dipping sauce that I won't soon forget. I also appreciate the portion size of the fries - you're definitely getting your money's worth. Milkman did not disappoint. We visited milkman for my son's 5th birthday because he loves cheese burgers . He loved the cheese burgers and also said they were very yummy . The staff was extremely thoughtful and knowledge about menu which was basic but had a lot of add on items to personalize your burger how ever you wanted. I decided on the classic deluxe as well as my husband it was great smash burgers that were very meaty and cooked just right , also we got onion rings and fries with their own special sauce that was tasty almost a barbecue sauce mixed with some chic fila sauce but was very tasty . ( not to mention they have boozy shakes that's I didn't try but will try not tike when I don't have my kiddos . Overall milkman was extremely good a place we will stop by again whenever we are in downtown Cincinnati. read more

Holy Saint Bernadette of the Yard Birds My son coerced me into a trip to Findlay Market. While in OTR he wanted to pop by Milkman for lunch. I tried the Club and HOLY WOW it was amazing. Snagged a couple of his fries. Also had a bomb new flavor of Liquid Death Five stars all around. read more

Ordered carry-out tonight and we both got the standard Milkman burger, which was great. But had to post because I was so disappointed with the onion rings. We paid $4.99 for a side of onion rings and opened the box when we got home to find 5 very average sized onion rings. While they weren't bad, they sure weren't anything special. We'll probably order from there again, but will skip the onion rings for sure! read more
Thankful for a diner in the neighborhood that has delicious milkshakes and vegetarian options! We have enjoyed the Oreo milkshake and pumpkin spice milkshake as well as tofu nuggets and crispy veggie chikn sandwich. I had heard great things about the Milkman and since the place was packed when we grabbed our to-go order, I knew before I even tried the food I had made a good choice for dinner while in Cincinnati. My husband got a burger, fries and some nuggets; I ordered onion rings and nuggets. We both demolished our food, agreeing it was delicious. If you like standard American food like burgers, hot dogs, nuggets, fries, or onion rings, but want a better option than fast food, Milkman is a great restaurant. I stopped in with my BFF for lunch, we each got a sandwich, we shared an order of chili cheese fries, and we each got a shake. I got the Thai chicken sandwich which was one of if not the best chicken sandwich I have ever had. My BFF got the Deluxe burger in a double that was super tasty in the one bite I got. The fries were very tasty and worth getting, very cheesy with a Cincinnati style chili on them. I got the cookies & Irish cream shake that was very good and loaded with Oreos. My BFF got the Espresso Martini which was my original plan, but wanted to try something different. The espresso was freaking super yummy. Don't get me wrong, my cookie was very good as well. I highly recommend you try this place out. We even asked if they thought of opening one in West Chester, if they do I may be broke. I would be here often. read more

Milkman chicken sandwich was super delicious! Light yet crunchy batter, yummy house sauce, fresh bun. Would order again! My daughter gulped her Oreo shake in no time so it's safe to say the regular shakes here are tasty. Priced a little high for a normal sized shake, unfortunately. My husband wasn't fond of his dairy-free shake but DF is a gamble to begin with. If I'm craving a good chicken sammie, Milkman will be on my mind. $30 for a seltzer, burger and chili cheese fries. It was tasty please don't get me wrong. This is a similar experience you would get at Culver's . Walk up to the counter, place your order and sit down with your #. I felt like for the price and the location of the restaurant I'd probably not go back. I live clear up north so it's kind of a drive for me, and for the price I'd much prefer something other than a burger. The burger though was tasty, juicy and had a fair amount of toppings. My dinner companion wanted raw onion instead of cooked onion and she was told no. They didn't even say anything about an extra charge, just no. Guy looked at me weird got the no bun but I can't have c the wheat. Summary: good food, fast drive, expensive, you can't have it your way. read more

My group was heading to the brewery district for some drinks and decided to try this place due to its location and good reviews. We all had a great meal here. I personally tried their tofu nuggets, which were great. Definitely a solid vegetarian option. Their fries were amazing as well. They came out hot, salty, and tasty. My meal took longer than everyone else's, due to them having to freshly fry the tofu. This was no an issue, as it came out so hot that I had to let it cool. They also offer a vast selection of sodas and alcohol, which you can choose at your leisure. The rest of the group got hamburgers, which were great according to them. Overall it was a good dinner, though a tad expensive. We all would definitely come back though. read more

My BFF and I carved out an afternoon to enjoy a boozy milkshake and a meal!!! O. M. G. the Milkman did not disappoint!!! I drank the espresso martini milkshake! It was so delicious I'm not sure I'll be able to try a different flavor next time (and YES! There WILL be a next time!) I also ordered a double deluxe burger and shared an order of the chili cheese fries with my bestie. The burger was so fresh and delicious and made to order!!! The chili cheese fries are made with Cincinnati chili which gave the fries an extra special flavorful taste! The staff was incredible, too! So kind and friendly! Our wait person offered recommendations based on our preferences and everything we ordered was spot on perfect!!! The building is adorable; the interior is quaint and cute and clean!!! Milkman is a staple of OTR and I am shocked that this was the first time I had ever gone there. The inside old time diner theme was on par and the decor inside was interesting to look at but didn't draw too much attention away from the food. There was a decent sized menu that you can order for there or to go. Unfortunately, I was unable to sit and dine but rather got my meal to go. I ordered a burger deluxe single and a side of fries. They had milkshakes (boozy and non) as well which i definitely want to go back and try at a later date. While the burger fell flat for my tasting, the fries and special fry sauce were great. I was a big fan of how fast the service was and the many working the front counter was extremely helpful when i stated it was my first time there. I will definitely be back to try the milkshakes and hopefully give the burger another shot! read more

When my friends and I were looking for a place to eat, we decided on this place in big part bc we just loved the branding! I loved how they continued the theme throughout and it felt like a fresh take on and classic theme. The fries were absolutely delicious. The manager had told us they tried about 20 different varieties and they chose correctly. The burger Pattie's were well seasoned and smashed perfectly - the edges were nice and crispy without the burger being dry. The hot pepper jam was delicious but if you like spice it is not spicy (but again, it was delicious so it's okay). I tried a few of the slushies and went for the strawberry frose which was slightly sweet and super refreshing. I give this place 4 stars bc I felt like you really needed to have a double Patty in order to fully enjoy the burger, and an extra patty is half the price of the burger $4, which is kind of excessive. The patties are pretty small. I also feel like they needed to upgrade their ranch. read more

I built my own burger and had an order of chili fries. The food at the establishment wont blow you away, but is a solid representation of classic diner food. The fries were a bit salty and I wished the bun was toasted. The establishment had a very upscale retro vibe with lots of decor. The service was great, They were quick to take my order and checked up on me after the food was sent out. It was clean and well maintained. OMG this place was amazing! Hubby and I were in Cincinnati for a wedding last weekend, our first stop was Milkman. I had seen it on Yelp and thought it was a good spot for lunch. We landed and took an Uber straight there. We each ordered a burger and shared the damn hot chicken sandwich with fries. He went with the double deluxe and I chose the double Milkman. These burgers were phenomenal! So juicy and cheesy! Delicious bun, awesome pickles and excellent special sauce. Honestly, perfect in every way! The fries were very good as well. They were crispy and unique, great with the fry sauce. The damn hot chicken sandwich was delicious as well. Good heat level, tasty breading and the same awesome pickles. Everything tasted so fresh and really high quality. Hubby started eyeing the shake menu so we ended up ordering an Oreo shake to share. WOW, it was to die for! Maybe the best Oreo shake I've ever had. There was no shortage of Oreo pieces, so creamy and rich. Perfect size for 2 people to share. The service was top notch! We interacted with 3 employees, all were friendly. The 2 girls who took our orders were very kind and helpful. Rarely would I consider a 5 star review but this place met all of my expectations. I have been wanting to visit since they opened but never had the right moment until today. This shake in the photo is non- alcoholic but WOW! One of the best I've had! We both got a single and made our own burger and it was perfect . The fries and dipping sauce that accompanies them are also spectacular. It was crowded but not too packed when we went around 1:30 on a busy Saturday in downtown Cinti. Service is quick and polite. So this is coming from a person who thinks FIVE GUYS is the best burger in the world. I would say Milkman's burgers are OK. They're delicious and the patty is thin and crisp. However, it was veeeeery salty for me. I ordered a single burger with grilled onions, tomato and garlic herb mayo. It was good but something was just too salty for me. However, the inside is very clean and nice. Booths are huge and each table has napkin and ketchup placed. Restrooms are clean too. The service was nice as well! I wouldn't visit again because of how salty the burger was. However, if you're a milkshake lover and are looking for a reasonably priced burger in downtown Cincinnati, go for it! read more

I had a hankering for a smash burger today, so we drove up from NKY to try this place! It was clean and has so many options for burgers, and milkshakes! We ordered the spicy burger- and it lives up to its name! We were sweating but it was perfectly balanced. Everyone was very kind and quick service. Oh and the fries were crispy and delish! read more
