Upon arrival, I had to fill out a couple of forms and there was a bit of a wait to start the exam. I eventually saw Dr. Jacobs and he was very friendly. I felt at ease and confident in my final prescription and appreciate him taking his time to answer questions and help. They have plenty of glasses to choose from but I also appreciated that they didn't push them and were fine with me taking my prescription home as I stewed on what exactly I wanted. In addition to the eye exam, they offer a retinal exam for an extra fee which they didn't push but highly encouraged for next time. Overall, I'd be happy to come back here annually for my eye care. Parking is easy to find in the large parking lot shared by King Soopers and the neighboring businesses.

Once my eyes began to prevent me from driving at night completely. I then knew I had to see a doctor immediately. While, serfing the internet In hope's to find a professional and caring doctors office. BuckEye vision Care stood out, so I booked an appointment. Days later my eye appointment had arrived, and I was on time; due to the automated text reminder. BuckEye Vision Cares staff was beyond friendly. I felt like I've been attending thier office for years! Mallory was at the front desk and greeted me so graciously. She came in the room and didn't even make eye contact until about 5 minutes in and barely looked at me more than 2-3 times the entire visit. The she immediately told me to stop talking as she needed to read what was entered in the computer. When she started reading the narrative for why I was there, and I responded to her question, she immediately placed her hand up to stop me and said she didn't need to hear that right now. She then went through my complaint but literally word for word as she was more preoccupied with typing it into the computer than actually listening to me. Wouldn't let me say more than 2-3 words at a time or said I was talking too fast and she had to type it, and to stop. She then proceeded to say what I was feeling was normal, and I should just take 2 Ibuprofen tablets twice a day, use some artificial tears and I'll be fine. When I reiterated that I was unable to move my eye without pain and had blurred vision and swelling and I literally couldn't function and that I was concerned that those things had only worsened my symptoms thus far, she just said it'll go away and proceeded to attempt to end the visit. I was so upset that I started crying and had to ask her to please listen to me as she continued to ignore my concerns. She eventually stepped out and said she had to check something and left. She ended up giving me a prescription to help but the prescription was not written correctly (should have been drops for just a few days but the Rx was for daily and with 6 months of refills). I left the office in tears as I was so incredibly frustrated. The front office and the assistant who checked me in: fabulous.. so nice! But the doctor, the one person that needed to be attentive, kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable; she was anything but this. Literally the worst experience and I will never return or recommend this doctor or practice.

I came back for the remake a few weeks later and they were STILL WRONG! I asked for another Dr. I also brought my medical records with me. Dr. Thompson took time to meet with me and review my records. She made some adjustments. I came back and they were finally correct. It took 3 attempts and almost 3 months to get my glasses.
