4872.75 for 4 ft of pole line. Over 1000.00 an hr…read more As a retired G.C/handy man in the yelm area for 10 years. I'm repulsed bye the price of the service done bye rotorooter. I had a leak in the line going to one of my B and Bs. And needed it fixed. I'm a full time caretaker now and can't leave my house for long. Bye the time there sales man came the water was terned off. found the leak exposed the line. Called at 1:00 Plummer was not out tell 5. Worked done 6:30. Thats just shy of 5000.00 for 4 foot of pole line 2 clamps. 2 barbs. Brake down of price was 450.00 for parts. For 20.00 in parts. That's a 2150% mark up 500.00 for equipment. Truck, shovel, shop vac. 2 tools. 3500.00 laber.... Plummer was boots on the ground for 1 1/2 hr. With drive time 3 hr. I do know that bid was for 5 ft of ground work. Any more would have add to the price. Had there been any more brakes in the line. Talked to manger just so you know there average cost is 1000.00 an hr. Plus tax equipment and parts. Also the plummer told my b and b guest that the filters where dirty is why the water was discolered resolting in a reimbursement for there stay. The water is discolered any time you turn water off on a well. Most times clears in 24 hr. Just wont to put this out there so some ones grandma dose not get fleeced bye this company. If you call around this should have been in the 1000.00 range.... even the sales man when talking to the Plummer was saying it was supper easy job. No rocks or roots. Already know where the leak is. Know what parts you need. Let my buyers remorse. Be your keep calling around. In the end find your local Plummer. Have more then on you can call. But if you need to call roto rooter know its bid work. And bid at 1000.00 an hr plus tax. Parts and equipment.

Ed's Heating and Cooling LLC hooked us up with a new heat pump for our home. I fully recommend him…read morefor any HVAC you need. He installed a nice ass 3 ton system at a amazing price. He is an amazing person. a small veteran owned business in yelm. A Lil back story about this amazing guy. 2 years ago bella was an infant was living in our house with Joey and kimmi. our heater quit working at 1am on the coldest night of the year. I called 6 different emergency heating companies. (big name companies), not one of them would even come out for an emergency service call. I called Ed. He got right out of bed and came right over literally 20 minutes later to get us working temporary fir the night. the following day he came back out ordered the new blower motor we needed and fixed our unit. That's the kind of guy / company he is. That day I told him if and when I need any hvac services he will be our guy. Well this week our system shit the bed. on top of it our power bill has been over $1,000 a month with the heater malfunctioning for the last few months. He installed a bad ass energy efficient heat pump today. So now we have heat and a/c. this afternoon at 4pm we had the system running he was doing final checks showed us how to program the new thermostat ect, the house went up to 75 degrees we set the thermostat for 66 degrees the system still hasn't kicked on from 4pm and its now 11pm and its still 73 degrees in the house. He fixed the duct work that was also busted in the crawl that was allowing cold air in so now the house is holding its temp. I'm just completely great full for the attention to detail and quality of workmanship that this man put into getting our situation right. We will be building a new house starting in a few months and this man will have the hvac contact for the new build. There are people who cross your path in life that go above and beyond for others selfless people. It's rare especially these days. This man is one of them and I'm great full that our paths crossed that cold ass winter night. Thank you Ed for everything you have done for me and my family! I hope to one day be able to help you in the way you have helped me and my family. God bless you. Thank you for your service to our country and thank you for being you. We need more people like you in this world. I fully recommend him to anyone needing heating or air-conditioning needs.

My experience with Black Hills, Inc. was exceptional from beginning to end…read more It began with Devin, who serviced our HVAC systems and recommended the installation of a split unit in our sunroom. From there, David Griffis took the time to provide thorough information and answer all of our questions. He was consistently helpful, knowledgeable, and highly professional throughout the entire process. Melissa did an excellent job coordinating and scheduling the installation team. One aspect of their communication that particularly stood out was the consistent updates provided through both text and email, including photographs of the technicians and notifications regarding their arrival times. This level of professionalism and customer service was truly impressive. Brian and his assistant arrived promptly, conducted themselves courteously, and completed the split unit installation efficiently and professionally. Joshua, the electrician, and his assistant then completed the electrical work seamlessly. Overall, this team of professionals provided us with an outstanding temperature control system that we will greatly enjoy in our sunroom. To further demonstrate their appreciation for their customers, they even sent us a thoughtful gift afterward. We highly recommend them.

Unprofessional Conduct, High-Pressure Sales, and Unauthorized Assessments…read more I contracted Black Hills in Tumwater exclusively to perform a standard annual maintenance check on our relatively new HVAC unit to satisfy a routine condition for the sale of our home. The resulting service was highly unprofessional and demonstrated a severe lack of business ethics. During the appointment, the technician subjected my wife to aggressive, high-pressure sales tactics in an attempt to push an unrequested air vent service in excess of $2,000. Most egregiously, the technician made unauthorized and completely unsolicited claims on our final paperwork. We did not hire Black Hills to assess, inspect, or service our air ducts in any capacity. Despite this, the technician documented on the final invoice, a document that must be presented to the buyers of our home, that the house cannot be sold without cleaning the air ducts. Using a routine maintenance invoice to make unauthorized, legally baseless assertions about a real estate transaction is unacceptable. Their business practices appear strictly focused on predatory upselling and fabricating issues rather than fulfilling the contracted scope of work. I strongly advise against utilizing their services.
