It's all gorgeous. He and his wife were so welcoming and shared the kaona / meaning behind many of the art designs. Most of the artwork tied into the hawaiian culture and mo'olelo. He is a talented artist. His wife is a knowledgeable world historian. It was a pleasure shopping there. I ended up getting three items I didn't know I needed (but I wanted!). While waiting for a family member at their appt, I went window shopping to check it out. Sad to see this place has fallen like other major malls across the country since covid & looking like a ghost town. The only anchor store left is Macy's. Their food court on the 2nd floor has dwindled to just a handful of choices: L & L BBQ, Panda Expess, Pearl Korean BBQ. There's also a pretzel place on the 2nd floor but near the Fun Factory. Downstairs was a Starbucks, Jamba Juice, and a Mexican restaurant. But there still are some other popular stores like Bath & Body Works, Victoria Secret, Ben Franklin, & even a Cat Cafe where you can play with cats for a fee or adopt. Still a lot of empty store spaces advertising for lease. The mall itself is a beautiful mall to walk thru. It's open-air with a tarp like cover that lets the trade winds blow thru. Ample parking with a huge covered parking structure in the back. I enjoyed visiting this mall, it was just sad to see it half empty.

The check-in process was easy and well coordinated. There were different levels of general admission tickets: 18 and younger off to the left side, I think meet the band off to the other side, and preferred and general admission for 21 and over, which was our group. The sections were well posted and clearly cordoned off. In the open area, there was a vendor for beverages. There were also Porta potty style restrooms. I appreciated that a group of them were labeled for women and another for men. Washing stations outside for both. In our area, we were able to be right up against the barricade, so we had excellent viewing. The area in front of us was preferred. The area behind us sloped upward and at the top area there were bleachers set up for folks to have a seat. Otherwise, it was standing room only. That was perfect for us as it gave us space to dance in! The sound system was fantastic! Speakers were positioned well, loud enough for all to hear, and clarity was strong. It was not so loud that it was punishing to the ear drums, and we could enjoy singing and hearing those around us as well. Stage visibility was good: not quite centered, but nothing really obscuring our view. No shade cover here, but the breezes were refreshing and the temps were perfect once the sun set. Exiting was well guided and traffic flowed smoothly. So glad we were able to see a fave local band while we were here at MACC!

She is an excellent teacher and so friendly. Everyone enjoyed talking to one another, sharing ideas, and advice about other classes we had taken an Hui No'eau previously. We paid and drove in and parked. There was no problem finding a spot. There wasn't a whole lot to see as far as the lavender growing or blooming, but we enjoyed what was available. We stopped in the market store and bought some organic lavender tea, brownies, and candy. I bought a sticker and my DIL also bought a couple of things to bring home for friends. There is seating with umbrellas which we enjoyed. It was another beautiful day in Maui. After the grandkids were finished, we went out to the large field. The adults enjoyed sitting in the grass and kiddos enjoyed rolling around in the soft grass.
