Not sure where to begin with 2 warehouses of 'treasure' but the adage of how do you eat an elephant? One bite of a time comes to mind. Cheryl was there to welcome, answer all of the questions and get the answers. And yes, 2 warehouses are daunting especially if you cannot handle dust but the treasures are there! Thank you Cheryl! These are some of the finds out of the 'wild'.

If you have $2 to "donate" (per person), it's one unique way to kill 30 minutes on Maui viewing things you don't need, and risk getting mosquito bites, dust mites, or ukus. Welcome to the preverbal end of the Indiana Jones film credits where 2 workers roll precious artifacts to stash among endless rows in an obscure government warehouse. It's everything as described minus "precious artifacts". As you're deciding to enter, owner David, appears dressed as an Indonesian Dervish, and convinces the timid to dole over 2 bucks to view his vast dusty kingdom. Don't worry though, your $2 admission gets you an incredible 50% off overpriced items he no longer wants. As you nervously enter the "fun house" narrow aisles to scan the vast collection, you'll slowly determine whether it's worth getting tetanus, or gangrene. There are hordes of interesting, colorful run-down incredibly overpriced items that boasts incredulously: "Dead Rich People" once owned. There are incomplete collections of chipped vintage mismatched dishes, old used toys from China, faded album covers of Mannheim Steamroller and The Lawrence Welk Singers. Included in the price of admission are hastily framed prints, sun bleached furniture, and of course, XXX erotic paintings and sculptures for the kids. We suggest entering the ancient tomb on an overcast day as there is a lack of moving air conditioning, lest you stir up the curse of Egyptian bacteria from an ancient mummy. Alas, If you did not find the rare treasure at a discounted 50% as promised, you can request a $2 raincheck to revisit a decade later to complete the journey.

Lots and lots of stuff piled high on tall shelves but really fun to explore :-)

So cool the owner is such a character :-) we had a wonderful time digging through all the warehouses. I've all sorts of things you've never seen before really fun and very interesting.

What a cool place to walk around in. It's a little hidden and once you're inside there are sooooo many things to look at. An eclectic variety of items! There is a small $2 entrance fee but then you are given discounts on purchase. The owner David was really friendly and I recommend anyone to spend some browsing time

My favorite place we've shopped at on our trip to Maui. The antiques are magnificent & the owner was very friendly and helpful.

My friend and I paid a $2 entry fee to meet a passive aggressive store owner. Wasn't entirely intrigued by the antiques seen in there.

Mind completely blown. This place is unlike any other antique store I've been too. It is a vintage collectors paradise!

She has known David a long time and unfortunately she found four pieces of furniture we couldn't live without.

Even the initial interaction was strange. Went today ( October) to get one of the watch batteries replaced. It had stopped working a few months ago and I wanted to get it replaced as it within the window to get a new battery from them for free. They refused as they said " it's time to get a new watch battery as it's been 5 months" and I wasn't about to pay them for a new battery when I had already paid $20 & was told I could have them replaced by them for up to a year. I told them " it's within the time limit provided from your business and you could help me out as I already paid $20 in October." I took my watch, my receipt with proof of purchase and walked out. Unless you feel like arguing with people who don't listen I would go somewhere else. Save your time and order watch batteries from Amazon & do it yourself.

Going back to the original place didn't seem to be a good option anymore and I heard from a friend that they had a good experience for their daughter at Gold Mart. They were able to take us a walk in. Zeny & Gina were so friendly, so helpful, and seemed to be very experienced! My daughter is 6 months old and they were able to be patient, mark the correct spot and check with me before piercing, and they were so fast! The piercing was included with the purchase of an earring set and the cost was very reasonable, we got a cute set of earrings for about $60. So worth it. I wish I had known about them and taken my daughter in the first place. So thankful for the pleasant experience we had and would definitely would suggest to anyone else!
