However the store is morphing into a cheap $ store at the back, full of tacky el cheapo plastic imported chat. Why is an art store stocking kitchen kitsch? Such a pity for a serious art store to go that way, and the only real art store on island. Hopefully they will continue to stock art supplies so I don't have to use Amazon instead. I was looking for a good pencil sharpener and some supplies for pastel and watercolour and the store had everything I needed. Pastel stabilising spray was the same price as Amazon with no waiting. I hope it stays that way instead of phasing out art products for $ store staples.

I was having a normal, room-volume conversation with an elderly veteran when the owner came out and targeted me with a completely fabricated story. She claimed I sit there for "hours," when in reality, I've only used that bench three times ever. She then attempted to gaslight me, claiming my voice was "piercing her ears" and triggering her tinnitus--completely ignoring the loud, laughing family sitting right next to me. To top it off, she told me to "leave her property," despite these being benches on a public-facing tourist street where hundreds of people sit every single day without issue. I spoke with several other shopkeepers in the immediate area afterward, and they were all shocked to hear about her behavior. The shop looks inviting, but it is run by someone who is dishonest, exclusionary, and seemingly looking for reasons to harass people. If you have a service animal or just want to sit for ten minutes without being harassed with made-up stories, go somewhere else. The workers down the road have said she's done this numerous times to families and folks like myself. Complaining that the public irritate her tinnitus. Completely rude woman.

Plus we also had a birthday girl who was looking for a new chair. So when we arrived a few minutes early. I figured we'd have to wait outside until they opened. Except it was our lucky day & they didn't make us wait outside. They let us in early to browse around. Which already made us feel like VIP's getting to walk around a private showing. I also appreciated our sales person Judy for being very easy to work with. Our friend is going to be having surgery soon & she wanted to find something comfortable to help speed up her recovery. Which even Judy was even able to relate & help make the perfect recommendations to even make the sale. Plus at a more reasonable price then other locations we've browsed around. On top of that we paid for it yesterday & it's in stock to be delivered today. So thank you for making Kathi a very grateful customer. On top of that my boyfriend's mother has been wanting a new dresser for her bedroom. Which we ended up finding two matching dressers that were also on sale for a reasonable price. That is also getting delivered today too. As for my mother she just enjoyed window shopping & hanging out with her friends. I on the other hand love every opportunity to check out a business. Great customer service is not only a huge bonus. But something I look for with every business I encounter. Plus I just enjoy sharing my experience with others too. So thank you for allowing me to browse around as well. Xoxo, ChelsieFletcher
