Where do I begin?! I want everything!

If you're looking for gifts, cards, stationary, plants, souvenirs, and even seasonal house decor, Paper Garden has it all! My husband and I were on island in late Nov 2019 when we first discovered this wonderful shop. They had just opened at that time, and we struck up a conversation with the owner, Michael. The friendliest, kindest person ever! Then we went back the next day to pick up some things we regretted not buying, and we got to meet and talk with Michael's wife, Pam, also the friendliest, kindest person ever! We walked out with beautiful holidays cards for our family and gifts to bring back to the Bay Area in CA. I remember wanting to write them a rave review, but they were so new at the time that they hadn't yet established a Yelp page! Fast forward to yesterday, 2 years later, during our first trip back on island since that Nov 2019 trip (pre-Covid). We made a point to go back to this wonderful little shop to pick up a few things, and we re-met Michael and had another nice chat with him! We're so happy this small, whimsical business survived the tough times that Covid dealt, especially to small and local businesses. Paper Garden is a gem! They also offer great workshops on all sorts of topics and crafts, from plants to painting, and from lei making to brush lettering, handmade recycled paper, candle making, and so much more! Mahalo for your beautiful store and sharing your genuine Aloha Spirit, Michael and Pam (and the employee whose name I didn't catch yesterday)!

Love this wonderful family owned paper store. A fun store to explore plus there's numerous cards for everyone. You will find lovely paper goods for parties plus gifts for kids and friends and you won't believe they provide gorgeous wrapping paper too. Hop on over and I know you will find that special gift along with a card you want to buy. Akamai coffee is right next door! So convenient plus you can bring your coffee with you while you shop! What a neighborhood gem! My favorite place for cards and more!

I stumbled into Paper Garden one afternoon recently after grabbing some coffee next door at Akamai. It seemed to be the only other place opened in Wailea, since COVID has pretty much made this area of the island a ghost town. I didn't intend on buying anything, but sometimes like to just browse. My first impression was that this was a super cute store, which is always pleasant. I'm a sucker for a nice aesthetic. I was promptly greeted by the lady working that day (I think she may actually be the owner) with such aloha and friendliness. There were a few other people in the store, but because of the layout it was easy to browse while keeping a social distance. The cards are amazing and I had a good time just looking at them and get some laughs. Most are blank on the inside as they are more designer cards with elevated art/graphics on the outside, leaving you plenty of space to say what you want. I ended up grabbing a couple for upcoming birthdays. There is also a nice selection of what I to like "gift items". Keychains, jewelry, stuffed animals for the kids, candles, journals, wrapping paper, etc. Most of these were locally made or from a Maui company - gotta love that! After wondering around the store, I ended up with the birthday cards, a non-toxic/soy-free candle (score!), and a few stickers. I was quickly checked out and was offered hand sanitizer after using the card machine. The lady working sanitized the area while I was standing there, bagged my items, and then sanitized her own hands. I appreciate that attention to detail during these times! I've been back a few times since that initial visit, as I've taken up a recent hobby of letter writing. I love to use these cards instead of regular paper. I never thought that a greeting card and gift shop would become a to-go for me, but I foresee returning to this place time and time again. Greeting cards are expensive, why give that money to a big box store or corporation when you can support a small business instead!

Where do I start? The store is a beautifully designed shop of cuteness overload. There is a ton of cards and wrapping papers for every occasion. And even some occasions you might not have known you needed a card for so definitely take a look. Then there's the small touches through out the store of locally made items. All high quality pieces. Everything is so cute! And if you can't imagine leaving the store so soon, they have classes! Pam works with local artists to bring you an experience! Can I talk more about Pam and her husband Mike? They are so lovely and such a pleasure to chat with! Pam truly enjoys and takes so much pride in her shop! She's warm and kind. She's helpful and funny and made planning so easy!!! We took the lei po'o class with Morea, who's also amazing! I had a group of 7 women for a bachelorette party and it was a great way to kick off our day of events. The set up was gorgeous!!! Pam had a table for us with mimosa supplies (BYOB with notice) and she provided breakfast! The overnight oats with fresh fruit were so good! I wish I had a recipe to recreate the goodness and let's be real nobody writes home about oats, but wow! Morea was so sweet and had lots of flower power! She went out and foraged a lot of the flowers we used directly from the area and explained the history of lei po'o and significance in Hawaii. She was patient with the women who needed help and was encouraging to everyone! A fantastic teacher with great vibes. We all were able to finish our arrangements and felt absolutely beautiful! If you are looking for something crafty to do while you are visiting Maui check @papergardenmaui on Instagram for a list of events and a visual idea of the fun!

Super cute store with lots of usual souvenirs, Maui/Hawaii stickers, beautiful stationery, pens, unusual/ unique cards and nice little gifts. Very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely planning on going back.

We needed personalized invitations for two milestone celebrations, so what better place to go? We were assisted by Pam (the owner of the store) and one of her associates Lynn. Both were very professional, patient, and helpful. We opted for a modern and bold wedding invitation and a simple and elegant birthday invitation. We were in there for about 2 hours going over things and walked out very happy clients. Our invitations came out gorgeous. OVERALL: Top quality with a lot of care & concern. They can accommodate a full price scale from economical to high end. And you're supporting a local business!

I'd like one of everything. Kay thanks.

It's like a local Hawaiian version of Paper Source. Cute cards and gifts. A mix of local and commercial gifts.

It carries the usual touristy items and souvenirs plus anything you forgot to pack, and food/drink. However, this trip I discovered some cute new items that I will consider for future visits. Check out the cute socks! I was happy to find next year's (2027) calendars already in stock, two for $5, or one for $2.99. We also found a warming oven full of spam musubi and chicken katsu musubi! We chose the katsu for a quick shared snack. It was delicious and the perfect size to satisfy our hunger. Customer service is excellent and aloha friendly as always!
