The Shops at Wailea is an open-air luxury shopping center situated in the upscale Wailea resort area on Maui's south shore, near major hotels, vacation condos and homes. Shops at Wailea has a beautiful, well-maintained atmosphere with an open-air design which has easily navigable flat walkways, lined with palm trees, multiple seating areas, and free WiFi, making it a pleasant place to stroll. There are stairs as well as escalators and elevators to accesss both levels. This outdoor shopping center offer a large selection of global brands stores, unique local boutiques, multiple art galleries, and diverse restaurants. There are a varied mix of many high-end, luxury branded stores (Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Prada, Rolex, Tiffany & Co., and others), to Hawaiian themed shops & bakery, to curarated wardrobe clothiers. There is a general store as well as an ABC Store for snacks, sundries and souvenirs. For those interested in art, there are several galleries offering various forms of artistic creations. When in Maui we have to come to this side of the island and hit up this mall. It has high end shops which we are used to shopping at. There is ample parking for free. It has quit a few shops and many name brand stores. Tiffany's, Louis Vuitton, Rolex, Gucci just to name a few. A few art galleries and food shops to. Gotta stop by and get some shaved ice. The place is really clean and friendly staff through out the mall. It is an outdoor mall with two stories. An added tip when shopping in Maui or any place in Hawaii. Their pricing is sometimes cheaper on luxury brands and the tax is always cheaper than at home shopping. read more

The Shops at Wailea are beautiful and definitely lean very high end. Most of the stores are extremely overpriced, so it's not the easiest place to casually shop unless you're looking for luxury brands. That said, there are some good restaurants here that make it worth the visit, even if you're not planning to buy much. Parking is ample and easy, which is a big plus, and there are a few spots with great beach and ocean views that are perfect for taking a break and enjoying the setting. The overall atmosphere is polished and upscale, very much in line with the Wailea vibe. I do wish there were more middle of the road shopping options to balance out the luxury stores, and a Starbucks would be such a convenient addition. Overall, it's a nice place to walk around, eat, and enjoy the views, just be prepared for high prices. read more

The Shops at Wailea is a high-end outdoor shopping mall in Maui. They have a variety of 70 luxury and standard retail shops throughout its open air design. Along with shops they also have a variety of restaurants, bars, coffee and snack shops, and general stores. For entertainment they'll occasionally have hula dancers, ukulele lessons, wood carvings, and live music. They have ample free parking and is overall well-maintained. When I visited they were renovating some of the common area so looks like they're always improving. If you're looking to take advantage of the cheaper sales tax (depending on where you're traveling from) this is a good mall to do so. read more

Nice mall but check the schedule before coming so you can see the performances. We came on a Saturday and not much was going on so kind of disappointing. We did go to the ABC store! Workers were friendly, there are high end selections, so come here if you want to go shopping for expensive stuff! read more

Great shopping mall with lots of luxury stores around. If you're shopping here I'm assuming you're here to spend a pretty penny for the most part. Its beautiful, clean, and plenty of parking. There are also small shops, restaurants, cafes, and sitting areas dispersed in the mall. There are also a couple pop-up shops here and there. I was able to catch the matcha one. Unfortunately, during my visit, the mall was having AC issues and it was also quite hot outside - making my overall experience very hot. Overall, solid mall to come to if you're looking to do some upscale shopping or looking for souveniers as well. read more

For shopping, dining and snacking it is an amazing experience. We spent the majority of one day here and really had a wonderful time. Lots of nice shops, we had lunch and everyone and everything was kind and pleasing. We rested in comfy chairs while having chai tea in the afternoon. I highly recommend this experience. read more

Great mix of upscale and 'standard' shops. Plus a few places to grab a meal, a bite, or even just a drink. Beautiful two-story outdoor mall. Stage in the center of it all for hula shows and other performances. That weekend they also had a wood carving artist. Incredible wood statues of turtles and other oceanic idols. My fav joints: Waikiki Brewing Company for Pima coladas and Mai Tais (of course Waikiki is on Oahu not Maui), Honolulu Cookie Company (also based on Oahu), and Soha Living for cool home decor items. Go upstairs for more upscale: Prada, St Laurent, LV, and Gucci. They also have a lulu which is somewhere between uplift and standard. read more

A nice outdoor mall in Wailea. It was smaller than expected with mostly high end luxury brand shops but there was also an Island Gourmet market which is a notch above an ABC store. There is also a Maui Hands gallery which we enjoyed browsing through. Overall a nice mall but generally not the kind of shopping I like to do while vacationing since I usually don't go on vacation to buy clothing but this is just me. I'm sure if you like to buy at high end luxury stores you will love this place. read more

If you get bored of overspending at Whalers Village and want to overspend somewhere else then let me introduce you to The Shops at Wailea! In all seriousness, this does feel very similar to Whalers Village, especially since the shopping experience feels catered more to the nearby hotel guests than anything. There's some variety in the shops in terms of content and price point and parking is good so it's accessible. The grounds itself are very pretty and clean and the stores were well kept and staffed. There are some restaurant/food options but less so than Whalers Village. A big plus is that they do have an ABC store here which boosts the utility of the shopping center. Another big plus is that they do have performances here at certain times and when we walked through there was an artist who had his carvings out on display, he may have even been the owner of the gallery on the top floor, but we're unsure. The whole place is nice and a good shopping option so if you're nearby and want to go window (or real) shopping then this is a solid spot. read more

I visited The Shops at Wailea while vacationing in Maui from the mainland. I was looking to do a little shopping and explore some local spots, and this place popped up a lot in travel guides and recommendations. It's definitely a beautiful shopping center--nicely landscaped, clean, and with that open-air tropical vibe that makes strolling around feel relaxing. That said, once I got there, it felt more like a tourist trap than an authentic shopping destination. The main draw seems to be the high-end designer stores like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Prada, which are fine if you're looking to splurge. But if you're just casually browsing or hoping to pick up something unique or more local, the options are limited. There are a few art galleries and souvenir shops, but many of them are also super pricey. I was honestly a little surprised by how expensive everything was across the board--even the casual shops and cafes were charging premium prices. I get that it's Maui and in a resort area, but it still felt like a bit much. It's clearly geared toward tourists staying in nearby luxury resorts. That said, it's still a nice place to kill some time. Parking was free and easy when I went, and it's a comfortable spot to walk around, window shop, or grab a coffee. The location is great, and you're close to a lot of beautiful beaches and resorts, so it's convenient to swing by if you're in the area. Just don't expect any great deals or a huge variety of shops. Cute place to walk around and browse. We got matcha here and checked out a couple shops. Clean and very safe feel. There are a couple boutiques which I enjoyed browsing. A couple touristy shops. My husband got his favorite flip flops. read more

I feel that with the abundance of high end retailers that the mall could really make an effort to: Update all that nasty cushioned furniture. It doesn't look like it's ever been cleaned and we personally witnessed homeless people sleeping on the large round "beds". The cushions are really disgusting, and it takes a large effort to even get in and out of these pieces. It also feels like there's always at least one escalator that doesn't work. Additionally, I see Otis there often. I feel like I'm missing out on alot and the retailers are missing alot of potential customers because not everybody wants to do the stairs and they just take a hard pass and skip an entire level. read more

This mall has 2 big free parking lots in 2024 (hopefully that continues in 2025). There are lots of high end shops to browse in and some excellent restaurants. They have free local entertainment a few times a week. Once a month have a big name artist perform. There are some chairs or places to sit, they sometimes put out chairs for Kapuna(older people) you are not allowed to bring in your own chairs. Such a beautiful fun place to visit. read more

The shops here are alright. There are a handful of luxury shops that nobody will step foot into, some souvenir shops, clothing shops that includes national brands and local brands, and of course an ABC store. There's a good ice cream shop there and love the Honolulu Cookies shop. read more

Our Jeep was slashed & broken into broad daylight on a weekday and our bags stolen. Mall management and security completely unhelpful. We have been going to the shops for years and always felt safe there and I even told my wife that with the brands they have there nothing like this would happen. I was wrong. Turns out it is happening all over the island more than ever. Very sad to see the effects of the fire play out this way. read more

A nice mall to walk around in, even if you don't shop. Minimal food options, but the Hawaiian vintage coffee had really good açaí bowls! I got a permanent bracelet from the stand, and this is a great spot to grab the macadamia cookies. It's definitely a more high end mall, and is all open air. But it's very well maintained and cleaned. read more

Quality/Quantity - With the exception of Tommy Bahamas, the restaurants here are NOT as good as the ones in Whalers Village; they are also missing the "beach" scene. But the shopping fits my family and I better. And the best part is the easy and free parking. Our new favorite restaurant on this side of the island is Lineage, and just learned it's owned by the ABC Store company!?!? Other restaurants (all of which we have been to in the past) are: The Pint & Cork, Ruth's Chris Steak House, Tommy Bahama, Waikiki Brewing Co. Coming soon is Wolfgang's Steakhouse; this will be another good restaurant! We are fans of his Spago restaurants both here and in Las Vegas. Atmosphere - Plenty of free parking, thanks. This location also used to be paid or validated. Has more upscale business here, but also something for everyone. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 8pm; see individual businesses for their specific days and times. Huge clean bathroom with a 24 hour attendant, so always clean! They also have events and live music, see my picture of their schedule. Service - Depends on business, but since this is an upscale mall that caters to tourists, the service is almost always great! This is a high end outdoor mall in the middle of some of the most high end resorts on the island...very fitting. That said, they have their own parking lot thatis not gated, but don't think about parking here for the beach, becuase there is no beach access anywhere close. The lot was pretty full when we arrived and we parked toward the back, which is fine becuase the parking lot is on the side of the mall, so it is the same distnace whether you are in the back or the front. Once in the circular shaped space, there are 2 stories and all of the brands you recognize are there, plus a few you won't. There are a couple of coffee shop, dessert places, and some restaurants, as you would find at a typical mall. But you probably didn't come to Maui for that. It was fun to walk around this picturesque mall to take a break from the beach and enjoy some photo ops. read more

I love visiting the shops at Wailea. There are a ton of brand named stores here - I especially love Mahina which is a local-owned store with a lot of cute beachy/flowy clothes or the escape room. There's so much to do here and the staff are always so kind to us. It is a bit of an expensive place because a lot of these stores are designer but I understand because it's curated to tourists. read more

The events are great, the shops are clean, with many surf shops to (window) shop. Nice ABC store and Island Gourmet has some deli or takeout food specials like a steak dinner special, sago pudding, kimchi, gelato. Lineage recently started a happy hour (literally a single hour). read more
