You just know a place is good when you arrive before they open and you are not first in line. Miki's in Pearl City at the corner of Lehua Avenue/Fourth Street has been a late night angel in filling my belly for decades. Open from 8 PM to 3 AM, I suggest you try one of their classic dishes of teri meatballs, shoyu chicken, spare ribs and/or the roast pork. Don't forget the fried noodles and a side of pickled onions. It maybe not gourmet dining, but is some good old local comfort food. #bigboyproblems

You already know...it's Miki's! The nostalgia this place is amazing! This is my high school years and a ton of late night hang outs! If you haven't been, don't let me gas it up. But if you grew up eating here. This is the spot! The roast pork is always tender! The go to meatballs are always fantastic! Almost everything in the menu is good! The corned beef sandwich is delicious! And you can't go wrong with a pbj! Don't overlook this place!

I've been a frequent customer since I was in middle school & never had any issues! I'm normally eating at home in dim lighting (since it's night time), but I happened to bring my leftovers to work - where's there's fluorescent lighting, as well as sunlight. If I had demolished my food last night, I wouldn't have seen the thin strip of tinfoil sitting on my fork. I'm certain it's because the pasteles are wrapped in foil; but just grateful I didn't swallow it! Other than that, the food is ALWAYS on point. I would just suggest checking thoroughly when ordering pasteles.

Man, I still remember coming here in college for a late night meal and coming back after so many years was nostalgic and so familiar. I ordered the Teri meatballs and shoyu chicken. Auntie in the front was so kind and friendly and the servings were just as I remembered, decent. There was a little wait for our food but it was understandable as this is a very busy eatery. Of course parking is a little tricky as it can get a little busy but nonetheless, still worth it!

Let me start by saying.......my old school favorite hole in the wall spot. If you want homey food with tons of sauce and gravy, you'll be in heaven. If you are looking for fine dining, pretty Yelp post type dishes, this ain't your place., haha. My favorite.......the oh so cheap, simple, and delicious meat balls. Soft, mealy, sweet goodness haha. Mr hey also make a good adobo (reddish sauce style), shoyu chicken, pastele stew......hmmmmm actually never ordered something. I didn't like. They are open only later in evenings and not in the day so plan accordingly......they aim for that party people with an appetite haha. I'll always come back when I am hungry and it's late haha.

This time around I had the S&S ribs combo with the beef stew and the stew was great the ribs had a lot of bones and little meat. I also found the ribs salty. Almost inedible. I was hungry so I ate it. Just hd to double up on the BP meds! Awwwrite!!!

Came back again when I had a late night craving. I love their roast pork - it's so tender and juicy. I love the amount of gravy they give as well. Definitely worth it for the price. The lady in the front is super friendly as always. Will be back when the late night cravings hit and nothing else is open but fast-food!

A stop I usually go to if I have a late night craving while going out late at night. This place is literally a while in the wall. Hidden from many tourists, this is a local spot to get some good lunch plates. I usually order a mini meatball or mini lau lau. Their mini size is pretty hefty! I used to come here years back with my carclub crew so it brought back lots of memories. People that come here are mostly late night workers or random local people. I've heard instances people get mobbed here to come here being aware of your surroundings.

ONE OF THE LATE NIGHT MUNCHIES YOU CAN GET IN AIEA! There's plenty of street parking and the price is very affordable. Not your typical fine and dine, but more casual and on-the-go kine grindz! You get the option of having one: -Mix plate $14.75 -Regular plate $13.75 - Mini Plate $10.50 It looks like they have rotating menus so they will always have different things on the menu! We got their teriyaki meatballs and spicy pastele stew and it was pretty good to satisfy the angry tummies that want food

Idk if I just got the wrong things, but I was a little disappointed after eating here. It's convenient for late night and my food came out quick and hot. I got the mixed plate for $15 so I could try a few things and got pork adobo and teriyaki meatballs with Mac salad. Everything was pretty salty and bland in my opinion. Mac salad just tasted like straight mayonnaise. The meatballs were something you get frozen from the grocery store. The adobo was tough and oily. This is a locally loved establishment and I can understand why due to the convenience and options available, but for the price and quality I think I'd just go to the grocery store hot food section.

Simple ono menu, about 10 minute wait for the food if you catch them on the busy hours. There were about 5 folks in front in line. Must get their pickled onion. Enjoyed it very much so, heads up that it is a tiny bit spicy. Happy with my choice of plate. Shoyu chicken while my fiancee got a combo of meatballs and

The garlic shrimp were not worth the extra 5.50 imo. They weren't very buttery or garlicky. The chicken was well seasoned and cooked with a nice crunchy batter and tender inside. I will be back for the brisket and noodles and maybe to try a burger and shave ice.

Ordered by phone the day prior, and just gave them my phone number as usual (it's how they identify you when you pick up, with no worries about duplicate or misspelled names.). Every time I've ordered in advance, our order has always been packed neatly and ready in a box for takeout. (My brother had brought a box just in case, and smoothly offered it to their staff for someone else's future order.) The restaurant has several tables for dining in, and markings on the floor for those waiting in line. It's brightly lit and clean as well. I appreciate their staff, food, service, and generous servings. They make us look so good with our potluck contributions! So what did we order? Half chicken katsu, half chicken wings, a small platter ($45 for the small pan, but picture a much loaded tray) - it's a great value deal! It was the same order our cousins loved when we brought it on Christmas Day (they especially love the wings, but we love the katsu-so this year we asked for half-half instead of all katsu, and they were so happy, ha ha!) Oh, and they give you a nice big container of yummy katsu sauce;)! I like their panko and cooking method, as whatever they do, the chicken is nice and crisp, and tasty - with, or without the sauce, actually. First time that I actually tried the wings, as I'm not a wing person. (I didn't even try it at Christmas, lol.). But, it was nice and crisp, lightly seasoned, and the wings had lots of meat on them. Easy finger food, and they were not dripping in oil, either, which I appreciated! Also ordered (for the first time) a small platter of chicken chow mein (a little over $30?). It was based on a good recommendation by an admittedly biased family member of the owners, and we were pleasantly surprised! The small pan was covered in wrap and then foil, because the mound of noodles was seriously kinda big! My brother was like, quick, go tell mom to come look before we open it (as she's picky, so it's hard to impress her). It was filled with lots of veggies (sliced carrots, cabbage, onions, etc) and bbq chicken pieces, tossed with great flavor (I want to say it was a nice sauce, but this wasn't a wet noodle dish.). My dad added Chinese mustard soy sauce, but my mom and I thought it was perfect the way it was. Oh, don't laugh, we're only a family of four, so yes, we ate two meals - lunch and dinner - and still packed a ton of leftovers! As we watched the game, we commented to each other what great choices we had made. (We also had sushi trays and other treats, and of course, chips, and my brother's dip. My brother said we may not have had a favorite team to cheer on today, but it was a great excuse for a party, ha ha!) I know we're doing a repeat for our next occasion, for sure! We'll gradually try some of their other foods, and it's farther away than we'd like to drive (I know, it's not that far, but we live on the other side, ok?). My brother agrees it's worth the drive - it's across Aloha Stadium and literally in the same spot as Ice Palace; and we saw quite the line at the Taco Bell drive through when we were looking for parking;). He also compared it to the cost and serving size of what we ordered on New Year's, from a restaurant much closer to where we live. Hands down, it was not even a close comparison, his emphasis added. So go here, it's perfect for family dinners and potlucks and I hope you agree with my assessment;)! Oops, I didn't take any pictures, aiya!!!
