Stopped in yesterday after seeing great reviews, we Were So Excited!! However when we got Inside the door, a girl at the counter said "before you get comfortable we are low on a few things" okayyy, weird...at first she said "we are out of ice" but They had a Coke machine so I said ok no big deal--then she said we are out of cheesy twists too, husband and I exchange awkward looks--and as we are deciding...she says "oh and our credit card machine isn't working??" We left and went down the street, not sure what was up at 6 on a Saturday night but they seemed to completely care less about any of it. read more

Pizza was just average. I did like the crispy crust but overall it wasn't anything special. The small pepperonis are pretty good.

My last visit was literally my last visit and Mikey's lost me as a customer. I will never return. I encountered an issue when I dined in recently. As I was eating, the lady serving me wiped her nose from one end of her open palm to the other. I was pretty disgusted. There wasn't any soap in the men's room either. Poor personal hygiene and the lack of hand soap is something that should never be a concern for diners, something that the Health Department would definitely frown upon. I contacted the owner twice about my concern and it fell on deaf ears. It's been 3 weeks now and still no contact. read more

For all the pizza options in town this one is just average. Average food does not make me a permanent customer or loyal fan. I've only eaten there once and it was just the pizza. The wait time was extremely long and the pizza was subpar. Definitely not worth the wait! The crust was extremely hard, the sauce lacked any real flavor and they put just the minimum amount of toppings on. For the price I paid, I expected the food to be much better and there to be more toppings including the cheese. read more

Very solid. As a locally owned owned business, it is easily compatible with the chains. As some who worked for two of them in my early twenties, in terms of price, they're on par with one and could surpass the other without batting an eye. Only suggestion(s): add a personal to the size menu. This would allow greater options for the customer, as I ordered a small and had plenty of leftovers. Not to say that's a bad thing, but that leads me to the second point which arises from the first. The prices could easily be raised, given the quality versus national competitors. Their prices are higher than your's, so why kill your own margins? read more

Didn't think that Bada Bing's could have an adequate replacement after they left a couple of years ago from this same location. I couldn't have been any more wrong and was pleasantly surprised. Absolutely awful experience. I waited in store forever only to be told my pizza had not yet been prepared. Better off going to Giovanni's or even Papa Johns. I can't attest to the quality of the food because I demanded a refund but I can say you'll be waiting ALL evening for your pizza read more

Ordered the fat jackie.....minus the green peppers and add mushrooms. ..didn't look at it till I got back to my hotel room. ..opened it up to a very big disappointment. ..no mushrooms and had green peppers. ..also looked burnt. Found Mikey's courtesy of Yelp, nothing but rave reviews. (5 Stars) However, Tuesday at 1:50 we stopped in for lunch on drive through Springfield and the experience was pathetic. First, the male employee begins by informing us they're out of bread and can't make any sandwiches. Which was fine, we were there for their pizza. I asked for a Diet Pepsi while we perused the menu, "sure, but we're out of ice which shouldn't be an issue (referencing that it was cold outside)". I initially ordered The CBR (Chicken Bacon Ranch), however the employee says "sorry, but we're out of chicken". My friend then tried to order the BBQ pizza, again, "out of chicken". Ok, how about the Meat Lovers? "ok, but we're out of bacon. We had a really busy weekend." Dude, it's Tuesday!!!! The pizza may be good, but we'll never know. We're OUT of HERE. read more

There is a lot of great pizza in Springfield, this one still rises above the rest. The cracker crust and perfectly sweet sauce is too good. The price is very competitive and service is excellent. Friendly waitress. If this Friday was a normal Friday for them, don't go on Friday. The place was almost empty, very long wait to order, even with only one other couple in the restaurant. Our waitress actually forgot that she didn't take our order yet and brought us plates out about 25 minutes after we sat down. Had to flag her down to tell her we had not in fact put in order yet. Guy who brought out our pizza plopped it down and walked away ignoring request for silverware. Even after this I had hopes the pizza would be good. It was ok, I mean it's pizza right. But with a bill that came to just short of 20$ for the pizza an ice tea and a water, it was definitely not worth it. I was hoping that this place would be good, like the last one that was in here. This was actually the second chance we gave this place, there will not be a third unless I hear some truly wonderful things from a reviewer that I actually know and trust. Save yourself the headache if you want good sit down restaurant pizza go to Bada bings, or hickory, or some other place you know is good. Unprepared! My husband and I went in about a week ago in hopes to try a new local restaurant for lunch and we were disappointed with our experience. First off, I'd like to say that the waitress was not very friendly and seemed to not actually know how to wait on people. She was definitely old enough to look like she had experience with a serving job, but I guess I was too quick to judge. Anyway, we ordered a medium Meat Explosion or something like that, and they ended up not having both beef and bacon, but the store was empty besides us. We settled on just a pepperoni and while the pizza itself tasted okay, I still wasn't happy with my the experience. The floors were dirty and so were the glasses and plates we were given, like they were rinsed instead of washed and had grease still on them. I also ordered a Mountain Dew which was very flat. It's just annoying when you want to try a new place and it is like the owner doesn't want it to last due to the amount of issues in just the hour we were there. I'd rather eat little Caesars in the comfort of my own home. read more

Someone brought this home for all of us to try. It just wasn't good. The yellow corn meal just looks cheap. First thing that comes to mind is little ceasars. Aside from the cornmeal color the crust just isn't right. It's got this hard 1/8" bottom that comes across over cooked, while the rest of it seems kinda "airy". Really strange. It's kinda like biting into the bottom of an over cooked biscuit but there isn't enough flavor to it. If I had to guess I'd say the flour being purchased is a cheap quality and the dough recipe is probably just flour, yeast, and water, and not enough oil to "soften" it. Anyone who makes pizza dough knows there's more to it than that. They need to really take some time to experiment with the ratios of the ingredients in the dough. This isn't about the oven it's about recipe. The ingredients just weren't high enough quality. It just screams GFS or some cheap supplier. The reason I say this is because our cheesy bread sticks tasted like they came from a middle school cafeteria and were soggy. They were like that cheap brand you see in most stores called "Coles". So, if your dough isn't able to be used to make your own bread sticks then there is a problem. The people running the oven are over cooking the pizzas. Look at the pictures uploaded. They look burnt. And they taste like it. I'd imagine it's because the dough. They aren't getting a good consistent bake because something is off. It's all just not worth the money. They have the tools to do this right but are cutting corners. The restaurant itself looks perfectly fine. Literally every successful pizza place (including mom and pop) use fresh veggies (minus olives) and shoot for a good quality cheese. There are places that offer high quality ingredients in town that aren't being utilized. For example, Copey's meat market has some of the best sausage around. Why not buy from there? Catanzaro's has good deli product to buy things like ham and probably cheese. Or drive to Dayton once a week to buy bulk cheese from the Dorothy Lane Market. It's crazy to think you can run a business buying generic,frozen, poor quality produce from GFS. Some people may be fooled, but some of us have worked food enough can see these clear signs immediately. It's really an easy fix and I'd be willing to try the place again if they can get some better ingredients and fix the dough. When you are a small business owner you can't take short cuts. Yes it is easy to put in an order at GFS and other suppliers but people want quality. Corporate places get away with this because they have the money for marketing and can afford to have specific recipes made up for them, for example cheese ratios. Springfield may be a dump but there are so many options around you and to stand out you HAVE to take advantage over that. Sorry if this came across as critical but if you want to pull over 3k a day you got to get this straitened out. In my food service days I seen places pulling nearly 5k a day. It's all about the basics. Pizza is simple. And another thing, the sauce tasted almost like it was out of a can. Go online, and find as many recipes as you can. Make them. And find one you like and tweak it to make it your own. Being generic will have the doors closed in no time.......I'm trying to make this constructive criticism. read more
