I was so disillusioned that it took me over 10 years to find someone honest, reliable, gives attention to detail, and really cares about their work even though it isn't their own home. Ryan had renovated two condos on my floor and upon my neighbor's recommendation and seeing what a beautiful job he did with her kitchen, I decided to hire him for my master bathroom which was in dire need being almost 50 years old. Here are reasons why we are SO HAPPY with the finished product and why we highly recommend Ryan for your renovation needs: 1. Responds quickly to your calls or texts 2. Very meticulous top notch work especially his tile work and painting 3. Good communicator; let me know what to expect each day and kept me informed on day to day progress 4. The project was to be finished same day on Saturday, but then he said he would come back Sunday at 9am. Sunday at 8:45am he texts to say he can't make it (no explanation), so he reschedules for Monday at 1:30pm. Monday at 1:30pm he doesn't show, then we get a text at 1:40pm, & he ends up rescheduling for 5pm. 2) When he finally shows to finish the job, he brings his 2 boys w/him w/out even a heads-up. (Unprofessional & inconsiderate, in my opinion.) And he left black smudges & scratches on our newly painted kitchen cabinet doors. The bottom line is, we were just a small job for him, & therefore not a priority. I felt that acutely. He has a friendly & pleasant demeanor, and if you don't mind him not showing up sometimes & unannounced guests, you shouldn't have any problems.

I will…read moredetail the experience: INITIAL CONTACT: We were looking to replace the carpet in our home with vinyl laminate flooring. We contacted 4 flooring installers for quotes. Marek was responsive to initial calls and quickly scheduled an appointment. He came to my home for the estimate, his knowledge about flooring and detailed conversation about the topic set him apart. He examined the carpet and thought he could feel uneven concrete, so he told me about it and possible remedies so I wasn't suprised once the carpet was removed. He provided an estimate promptly. He was straight forward and came across as honest and dependable. We had lower cost estimates from others, but went with Select Floors because of the interaction with Marek, we felt the job would be done right. He also gave me insights and where to purchase good quality flooring and specials companies were having. SCHEDULING: Marek was up front and detailed on how long the flooring would take. He told me what he had on the books already and gave me options for scheduling the work. We picked dates immediately and we were booked. Very smooth. He also picked up all the materials for me for a nominal fee. WORK DAYS: Marek arrived each day exactly on time or early with his son. His son is a hardworking, polite, nice, knowledgeable man. They make a great team. They removed the carpet; repaired/removed uneven leveling from the concrete and then leveled the floor; installed underlayment; and cut and installed the vinyl, T-molding and quarter round. Both Marek and his son did an OUTSTANDING job, they were efficient, professional, and did great work. They communicated with me along the way and answered questions. There were no surprises, Marek discussed price upfront and the pros/cons of each decision on the floor. The final job, which was suppose to take 5-6 days finished in 4 days because they worked hard every day 8-10 hrs/day and didn't even leave for lunch. Solid professionals! OUTCOME: Absolutely love the floors, the workmanship, and overall experience. I've done varying degrees of remodels in the past and this was one of the best experiences with a contractor. I had rusted old windows that were installed completely wrong and water was pooling through my windows when it rained. Called these guys during the storm in a panic and they responded quickly and didn't push my repairs back. (Called a few other company's prior and they wanted to push back my repairs since I was only repairing two windows). They explained every step of the way and any time they ran into any difficulties from the previous installers they informed me of them and already had multiple solutions. They didn't rush through the job at all and repaired things around the window on their own so that the rest of the area around the window looked just as new as the windows. I asked Yelp for a recommendation and Oahu Windows and Doors contacted me very quickly. They said they would send Nick, "our repair guy," out to take a look and give me an estimate on a repair. Nick arrived exactly at the appointed time, took a quick look (and listen) at my door and diagnosed the problem in a minute or two. Then, since the problem was a seal on the door, asked me if I simply wanted him to remove the seal to stop the sound, and gave me the pros and cons of doing so. I said yes and he removed the seal and put things back together. He gave me some tips on what to use to lubricate the door, as well as--if I ever wanted to replace the door--what I should look for and how to save money.
