We stopped by Haven City for a quick dinner and were really excited to finally try Henry's BBQ since we'd never been before. My husband ordered the brisket with potato salad and creamed corn, along with a side of the jalapeño cheddar sausage. He took a couple bites of the brisket and immediately said it tasted like straight propane and was basically inedible. I tried it myself thinking maybe he was exaggerating, but unfortunately I completely agreed. There was a really strong propane/burnt taste to it. I went up to the cashier just to give her a heads up so they could double check what was going on with the brisket. She was actually very kind and offered us a full refund for the plate, which we really appreciated. We had no issues with the sausage. Unfortunately, not long after we got home, we both started feeling sick. My husband was throwing up throughout the night, and I had pretty bad stomach pains. Obviously I can't say for certain what caused it, but the timing was definitely concerning. That said, I do want to give them credit for how they handled the situation. The cashier was very nice and made things right without any hassle. Staff were all very friendly. Pulled up to Mike Henry's BBQ and ordered a half-pound of brisket. The brisket was so smoky and ridiculously tender it melted in my mouth and didn't even need the BBQ sauce. I tried it anyway, and it was delish!!! Bonus points because that sauce is legit!! I requested this place from My Son to bring over as we celebrated My Birthday. I had to work all day so it would have been convenient to have instead of going out. My Son called the place and they said he had come before they closed at 7. He got there to the over crowded plaza and attempted to park. When he got in finally they said they sold out. We live in the high desert so any opportunity to try something new, we take advantage of. I had a friend who was in the area for an appointment and asked if I wanted her to bring something up. Well I tried the bbq place if the food heaven court called Mike Henry's Barbecue Good flavor but dry and the peach cobbler wasn't cooked all the way. They put way too much cinnamon. It looked nothing like the well cooked crispy cobbler crumb topping and peach's in the picture Collard greens tasted odd almost like they need to wash them or change the water they were cooked. I had been eyeing this place for a while due to a sample I had a while back and I'm glad I did. The 3 stars are due to the pretty awful service we received. When we arrived the gentlemen was assisting a lady with her order as we stood behind her waiting do her to be assisted which took already took a while due to side convos. Then once she left we stood there for a good 5 minutes just feeling stupid while he paced back and forth now with another coworker which almost had me leave. Luckily they greeted us and took out order. The food is good the meat is super tender and FLAVORFULLLLL and the beans delicious as well as the Mac just not the best in the world. It was my first time trying this place and I had a pretty good experience. Apparently this place can get pretty busy and run out of sides pretty quickly but I think I was just lucky that day. Keep in mind that this place is also in the Haven City Market so there are a ton of other food places surrounding this restaurant. Once you get your food, you can pretty much sit anywhere--I decided to eat my meal with a drink at one of the bars. On Saturdays they have burnt ends so I was really excited to try those along with a side of mac and cheese and baked beans. I really liked their burnt ends. Usually some places will give you more fatty pieces but that was not my experience at all. The meat was juicy and well seasoned and the BBQ sauce on the side paired really well. The mac and cheese wasn't the best I had but it was pretty decent. I also think the baked beans were a little on the sweeter side and with the BBQ sauce I found the sweetness overpowering. I would likely order a different side next time. The portion size was good, ribs meaty and cooked just like I like them, but that bbq sauce was the real thing. I'm late with this review. I've eaten here about 3-4 times. I always order the pulled pork, mac n cheese and occasionally the collards. I have never been disappointed. In fact, I will go as far as saying it was (hopefully still is) among the top, bbq restaurants I've had in a long time. Stopped by for a quick lunch and it was my first time here! I've had a lot of BBQ and MH is right up there with the best. I had the brisket, which was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. I had a craving for some spare ribs/St. Louis ribs something fierce so I decided to come out here for dinner. I remembered this place from an Elite event some months earlier and I remembered it being a place I wanted to sit down to a full meal with. I'm happy to report the spare ribs were fantastic. They were tender, juicy, and came with a pretty hefty portion in the 4 bones. I usually go for a half rack, but--that's what? two or three more bones? Four was plenty to make a dent in my hunger and judge the superior quality of their meats. The Mac was alright, but the baked beans were delicious. I could eat a whole bowl of that side. Work has been crazy today, so lunch was on my boss! I've been wanting to try this place for a while, so today was the day! I placed an order online for pickup. And when I got there, the order was ready for me, packed nicely. I got the smoked pork ribs combo with BBQ baked beans and collard greens. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and so flavorful! The baked beans had great flavor--sweet with a bit of a kick, and the collard greens were cooked perfectly! I also ordered a half pound of the Texas style brisket and a regular order of fries for my kids. The brisket was delicious and also incredibly tender. The fries were cooked and seasoned well. Their BBQ sauce had a lot of flavor as well--with a little spice to it. I enjoyed using it on the ribs and brisket. The portions are decent sized. Even sharing the meals we still have some leftovers. The place was easy to find and is relatively small. As with all the Haven City Market places, there's limited seating next to their location, but seating available throughout the building. read more

The greens and meats were tender and flavorful. The mac n cheese were cooked to perfection. Service was top tier.
