It's a big, clean, spacious restaurant with nice service and good portions. The food was decent too. The burnt ends and tri-tip were tasty -- 4.5/5. Tater tots were a solid 5/5, and the potato salad was a yummy side -- 4/5. The mac & cheese was a little bland -- 3/5, and the potato wedges were just okay -- 3/5. The cornbread, though? 5/5! Overall, I'd give it a 4/5. Nothing bad here, just not quite the exceptional, pour-your-heart-into-it BBQ you get at some of those smaller mom-and-pop spots. This past Saturday I took a new hire out to eat after work for what I thought was going to be a great meal considering I have been to this location twice before. Food came we ate and left the restaurant and went our separate ways for the weekend We returned to work and started asked each other if either one of us had gotten sick from the food or felt a certain way My coworker said he felt it immediately. I felt it the very next morning. Couple hours into my shift I called the restaurant They said they would investigate. And said they change their oil every two days. I inquire through online and decided to go with The Double Dave catering option that feeds for 50 ppl that has Cornbread, BBQ Chicken, Tri Tips, Coleslaw, and Potato Salad with utensils and serving tongs that costed $1127.50. The rep was extremely helpful and answered any questions I have since it's my first time using them and wasn't sure what to expect. I'm glad we were able to pick up the food before their opening time at 11 since that's the time our party starts. The day of the pick up was easy. The dishes were more than enough to feed. Awesome BBQ & Service! First time at this location of Famous Dave's. The wait time was not too bad for a good BBQ place, around 20-25 minutes. We were seated just after two large parties, so we knew there would be a bit of a wait for food, but our server Jose took great care of us while we waited. We had the BBQ chips, so warm, fresh, crunchy, and delicious. We also tried the cornbread. Now this was a nice, sweet treat, buttery and soft as well. For our main, we had the Loaded Baked Potato with Pork. Now this was a filling meal. The potato tasted like a high-end steakhouse, cooked to perfection. This was topped with the tender and very flavorful pork and crispy onions. The cheese, sour cream, butter, and BBQ sauce were served on the side. I wanted to get the coleslaw as well; this was crunchy, sweet, and so delicious! With my meal, I also tried the Black Cherry Lemon Soda. This gave my taste buds quite a surprise, like drinking a sparkling soda made of Nerds candies, yum! The atmosphere was a little on the loud side, but what you would expect from a large restaurant. Really wanted to provide a shout out to this locations great staff! The host was very nice, got us seated right away and our awesome server Famous Joe was fabulous! He was kind, very attentive, he asked my partner if he wanted a refill of tea as soon as he saw it going low. He checked in multiple times throughout the night and I loved that they let us munch on a block of cornbread while we waited for our feast for 2! The feast came with a half chicken, some of their famous chopped pork, 6 ribs, coleslaw, bbq beans, cornbread, a ton of fries, a piece of toast soaking up the chopped pork juices, and two corn on the cobs (can add butter or leave without butter). We also ordered a Mac n cheese bite appetizer. My partner got the unsweetened ice tea which comes in a large mason jar like glass and I ordered the strawberry limeade zero proof that was sweet and tart and flavorful. I think the full feast is 100% worth it! Tons of food available, we were able to take home some nice leftovers and the coleslaw and beans complemented the meats very well. Fries were all crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Chopped pork wasn't bad, but I'm not too big of a fan of shredded pork in general, but I did like the ribs! I generally like soft fall off the bone type of ribs but my partner really enjoys a good bite and chew so he thought they were delicious. The chicken was moist. Baked beans were spot on. I liked the Mac n cheese bites as they were crispy outside and soft and cheesy on the inside although my partner thought they were a little pricey. Every good BBQ joint has a variety of bbq sauces to meet the taste buds of a variety of customers and famous Dave's definitely got that with three kinds! I really liked rich and sassy as a balanced sauce but there's also a more Smokey sauce and the spicy 'devil's spit'. Overall, it was a great first experience for my partner.
