It was a rainy Monday and 3 of us were looking for a tea/coffee place. So google maps found for us this perfect location. We each order a tea and some individual chocolates. They have like 10 different flavors of tea and like 40 kinds of chocolates :) Girl at the counter was very friendly and helpful, I ended up coming back to buy box of chocolate. So single chocolate cost around 1.25$ a piece, which I think not that bad, and I got 8 pieces in a box for 12$. I will definitely come again and suggest to my friends. I am so disappointed in this store. Went and bought chocolates for my cousins baby and they told me that the little decorated box with chocolates was a few lbs but in reality the top was chocolate and inside the box was just paper. Absolutely embarrassing. I went to the store and was told that it's impossible for that to happen. My mom then asked Them to open a new decorated box and she would pay for it so we could see the inside and they refused. I'm sad to write this review because my family would come here as a treat to give our girls after dinner from next door or just because. The chocolates were great until what we had discovered after we celebrated our daughters graduation. We brought our parents to have treats also after we had lunch next door. Once we got our special chocolates, my daughter ate one bite and all of a sudden started screaming. I turned to help her out and she screamed about a white worm that was wiggling as I looked at the part where she bit. She was so hysterical about seeing it and fully grossed out. All I could hear were her cries and her spitting out to the ground. I yelled for my husband and he came saw the worm and went straight back into the store. He showed the lady and she saw it, but we still had to wait for quite awhile before we were attended to. For the time being she only offered us any drinks to help out my daughter. She didn't really apologize. When she was done with the customer she asked what we wanted. She only refunded our choclates we bought and that was all. My daughter was traumatized for at least two weeks. She couldn't get herself to eat any chocolate as the vision of the whole scene was clear in her mind. So unfortunate to have this happened. I thought this place was top of the line chocolatier. If it is. Why would their be any reason to have a worm in chocolates? Check your chocolates before you eat them. Why does this place not have more reviews?! Mignon Chocolate is my absolute favorite (still), and I had to write an updated review for 5 stars just because. I still frequent this location and service is still fantastic, chocolates are still amazing and PEOPLE! SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES!!!! This place is single handedly the best, their chocolates melt in your fingers, melt on your tongue slowly and it's perfect. My single favorite chocolate is the triple crunch and I've stopped by numerous times to only get that and every single time the chocolate is perfect. It takes quite a lot to say that, to say something is perfection, there is literally no room for improvement but this place is. I've had fancy Godiva chocolates and See's too but Mignon is the best. Guys if you want to impress your girls get a box of 8 or dozen from Mignon. You really can't go wrong with any of their chocolates and I'm thankful that their chocolates are only $1.50 each!! After studying for what seemed like an eternity, my exhausted mind needed a quick picker upper. I could have gone to the Coffee Bean down the street but instead chose to check out Mignon chocolates. After all, my Armenian friends have always recommended Armenian coffee for that much needed exam kick, so I got precisely that crack in a cup...and boy, was it strong! Of course I needed something sweet to pair with this, so I got a piece of salted caramel chocolate from their "single piece" display. (There was another display where you could only buy by the pound... my fatass didn't need that) The single piece of candy was scrumptious with the slightly bitter Armenian coffee. So really, I'm giving this place 4 stars for the food. However, service was a different story and the reason why I'm giving this place a GENEROUS 3 stars. I understand we all get the Monday blues, but the barista/chocolatier who helped me acted like she didn't want my business. Too bad because she could have seen my sweet face and dollar bills many more times since I live within walking distance of this shop. I might come back for the chocolate because it was that good, but for my caffeine need, I'll have better luck for friendlier service at Coffee Bean. we were meeting our friend's parents for the first time... and we wanted to bring them something nice... so we decided to bring them a nice box of handpicked chocolates. i looked up the closest place to our house and found mignon chocolate. i was able to pick out whatever box i wanted and 30 handpicked chocolates for 25 bucks. i thought this was a pretty incredible deal. the box was really fancy and they tie it up nicely with ribbon and put it in a gift bag for you. the chocolates were a hit!! the service was great and i will DEFINITELY be back. read more

The chili pepper is very spicy, and the dark chocolate caramel sea salt is so good, it's simply like those chocolates that French people diet all day to savor one bite of. They have dark chocolate with no dairy (perfect) so I selected a few handfuls, expecting to pay per piece and they were weighed! Review number SEVEN-EFFING-HUNDRED!!! What better way to welcome oneself to a new neighborhood than by buying oneself fancy chocolates? This place is classy: nice lighting, pretty displays, and the chocolates themselves are beautiful, in a variety of shapes and colors, with a display of custom/available designs and brightly-colored foil wrappers. Since it was my group's first visit, we were all offered a piece of chocolate, milk or dark. I chose milk, and it was creamy and fresh, and that convinced me that I should probably - ok, definitely - buy some chocolate. I had a tough time figuring out what to buy (my life is SO HARD, guys). I bought a lemon truffle, chili pepper in dark chocolate, Mignon Heaven, and maybe another I can't recall. Aaaand I left them in my purse instead of putting them right in the fridge (I suspect Mignon doesn't use preservatives, because their wares get melty quickly), so the lemon truffle cracked and spilled its innards all over the other chocolates. Unfortunately, although I love lemon, this truffle was very underwhelming (kinda tasted like Pledge), and the other chocolates ended up lemony. What I could taste of the others was good, but I was pretty sure this was a Sign that I needed to return and buy more. Can I reiterate how terrible my life is? This time, I got Ginger with Sea Salt, a milk chocolate Pharaoh, Madagascar Vanilla, and the Mignon Lion: "Solid and Well Refined 58% Dark Chocolate." And while all of them were very good and worth nibbling very, very slowly, I almost passed out on the Mignon Lion. Holy flurking schnit, folks. So rich, with a bit of crunchiness on the inside, and although it's dark chocolate, it's not TOO dark, so it's definitely still sweet. I was purring when I finished it. Chocolates are sold by weight, five pieces was a reasonable $3.74. They serve coffee drinks as well, so there's a patio to relax on. Stopped by here after eating at Eden (which is in the same parking lot.) I'd heard good things, so I wanted to try it out myself. First off, I was like a kid in a candy store! I wanted one of everything. Then I saw the prices - yikes! They offered us a sample (I had the dark chocolate), and it was REALLY good. So I decided to get a bag of small chocolate eggs - $8.99. They're SO good, but I feel bad having spent that much money on a few bites of chocolate. Boxes of chocolate range from $25/pound to $1.25 per piece, depending on the type of candy. Two stars because the staff is nice and the chocolates are cheap (9 for $10 for the box I got). But I can't give it more than that because the chocolate is really, really not good. Of the kinds we tried, none of the fillings tasted like much of anything except sweet, and the overall flavor of the chocolate isn't great either. Texture is too chalky. Honestly, Russell Stover or Whitman's Samplers are a better deal for the same price range, and those aren't that good. read more

I drive by this chocolate heaven frequently and finally had to stop and explore. What a find??? There are over 75 different chocolates flavors, each one is molded and designed differently. They offered me a sample, after they asked me if it was my first time in there. I decided to try the Ginger with lime seasalt with 56% dark chocolate. Wow, what a combination of flavors! A must try for everyone. I put together a gift box of 15 pieces for $27 (what a bargain) and gave it to my wife. We explored each piece that night and enjoyed a unique artisanal chocolatier in our beautiful Glendale. As hot as it is, I could not resist a return visit to Mignon chocolate, which I had passed on a walk from one of my trips to Glendale Adventist Medical Center. WELL: They have an incredible array-of course what I had tasted before, the chocolate fruit and nut bark (dark) they did not have, but I sampled a piece of the plaiin dark chocolate which was superb-and then the very very nice counter person, custom made me a COFFEE ESPRESSO drink, with beans that are importted from Italy-and let me tell you it was SUPERB! The owner is Persian Armenian which explains why they have a store or stores in Iran-how exotic. The chocolate bars with their Mignon label did not begin with 'pure chocolate' which was dissapointing-one began with sugar as the FIRST ingredient, but I wasn't interested in the bars, so... i'll go back in a few months, when my hips recover, to see if the bark has come in. They have all types of dark, milk,white, with nuts..etc I tried out the truffles which was decadent! The staff is so helpful and sweet! And heads up the Mignon Heaven is their signature.
