Meals are the perfect height for stacking. - The image shows the inside of a refrigerator with multiple shelves. The top shelf holds bottles of smoothies, a carton of coconut milk, and a bottle of Fairlife reduced-fat milk. The middle shelf contains black plastic food containers stacked in two groups and a clear plastic container with small jars and bottles. The bottom shelf has fresh produce, including a banana and a bag of greens, along with various kitchen items such as bowls, a box, and a small container. The refrigerator appears organized with a variety of food and drink items.

I have been gathering insight on different meal prepping services within the DMV area for the past three weeks. I have asked around at Crossfit competitions and even asked my fellow bodybuilders at PowerHousee: "Do you use a meal prep service, if no, whom would you use?" Surprisingly, a few companies were mentioned numerous times, MightyMeals being one of them. After reading through the plethora of social media account reviews, I decided to go with MightyMeals. My friend, Courtney B. provided me a referral code which was $25.00 off my first 4 orders of $100+. I used the link and moved forward with signing up. The signup process was super simple and could easily be completed using my iPhone instead of a laptop. The emails and text messages were immediate and the flow of things continued to be easy. One of the biggest selecting factors for me was the variety of proteins. I am a pescatarian. Being a pescatarian is an expensive diet and at times can get mundane. Sometimes I don't even want to bake, grill or even look at or smell fish. I feel as if I am loosing out on protein gains and muscle mass due to the fact that I don't want to prep it anymore. Honestly, taking the time to just look up 2-4 different baking techniques and/or seasonings to use takes a lot of patience and then to cook/slay and macro count is time consuming. When having the "is it worth it" conversation, as a bodybuilder/competitor/health nut/ab-obsessed person, I spent about 6 hours on a Sunday meal prepping for FOUR days worth of food. If you really take the time to divide your time out, you will see how much time is wasted on strict details, driving, cooking and macro counting. This system is now allowing me to spend more time doing things I want to do! Unlike the other meal prepping companies, MightyMeals had more than just shrimp or tilapia on their menu. In fact, they had so many options that I selected one of each and even went for a few vegan and vegetarian options too. Side note, I am super pumped to try the tofu dishes since I suck at making it myself (another reason to try MightyMeals--I no longer will force myself to down slimy clumpy homemade tofu). Also, to score 40 grams or more in a meal is pure perfection. I ordered 10 meals on a Sunday and they were delivered promptly on Thursday. The driver texted when he was 10 minutes out and took a drop-off picture--super simple. If you won't be there for drop-off, you can leave a cooler out. Packaging and directions were easy to open/read--everything they use is recyclable (another reason why I went with MightyMeals). You can leave the reusable bag out for the driver for the next delivery and they will pick it up, sanitize and reuse. For the first meal to open, heat up, and devour, I went with the "Sweet Chili Roasted Salmon," 5/5 stars, would highly recommend. If you want to try them out, send me a direct message and I will send you my referral code =)

I have ordered meals in the past, but wasn't too impressed. I received a code for $30 off so I thought I'd try it again to order a few meals for the family. I got two tequila lime beef tips meals. The tips were overcooked, dry and extremely chewy. The meat was so tough that we threw it away. Unfortunately this was the same lousy meat tips that were in the caviar bowl. The pork chop was somewhat dry but edible said a family member. What a disappointment..

a person holding a fork and a container of food - A black plastic meal container holds a serving of shredded chicken mixed with vegetables such as celery and possibly spinach, coated in a creamy sauce. A white plastic fork is inserted into the food, and some food remnants are visible on the container's edges. The background shows a person's lap and a water bottle, indicating the meal is being eaten in a casual setting.

We decided to try out mighty meals this week as it's been stressful to figure out lunch while working full time . The salmon alla vodka was so good ! I think it's important to really read what they state about delivery because the do follow strict guidelines which I can completely understand. Our meals were delivered right on time yesterday with no issues . If all their meals are as great as this first one , we will definitely continue with them.

Beef bulgogi - A rectangular white plate contains a serving of beef bulgogi, jasmine rice with herbs, and sautéed green beans. The beef bulgogi appears seasoned and cooked, while the rice is fluffy with visible herbs. Green beans are arranged in the middle of the plate. A fork and chopsticks are placed on the plate, and the image includes text indicating dinner courtesy of @eatmightymeals and a comment 'SO GOOD.' The setting suggests a home or restaurant dining environment.

I love their food! Honestly it's so delicious! I only took off a star because of the ordering times, I wish there was more flexibility (people get paid on Fridays yall!) and the window for delivery wasn't so small, but I love the fact that they support us frontline hospital workers and love the quality and variety of the food!

Great way to eaT healthy. Many options including low carb. They do have many options which I wish weren't on the higher end of the carb count or an options with less rice. Have been ordering a few every week for lunch or dinner when I don't have time. The portions are very generous and somEtimes hard to finish. I sometimes have the chicken encHiladas in two meals by adding a salad to it. So far, everything I have tried has been fairly delicious. It's a nice change from places where portions are too small. I am always satisfied at the end of my meal. I have liked the peruvian rubbed chicken, luah pork, and enchiladas a lot. The basil chicken pesto is also delicious. Buffalo shredded chicken was good but I got tired Of it after half way through. The price varies usually between 10.99-12.99. Not super cheap, but what meal prep is. The pickup locations are convenient and at mOst Vida gyms!

Mighty meals vs fresh n lean - A collection of meal containers from MightyMeals is displayed on a light-colored surface. The top row contains four clear plastic containers with labels indicating fresh, healthy meals, each with different ingredients such as vegetables and proteins. The bottom row features three black containers with cooked dishes, including chicken with pasta, Brussels sprouts, and salads with various toppings. Some containers are open, revealing the food inside, while others are closed with labels. The setup suggests a meal prep or delivery service offering diverse healthy options.

My husband and I were looking at a few options for premade meals to help take the stress out of meal prep. We decided we would try 2 companies at the same time to figure out which brand we liked more. We picked fresh and lean and mighty meals. There are a few differences and what we selected... And moving forward we're going to do lower carbs with mighty meals. While I think the picture speaks for itself in regards to what product is better... I cannot express how delicious the mighty meals are! One of the best, anxiety reducing decisions I've ever made! My husband and I have been raving about the flavors and how awesome the food is to all of our friends. Seriously... If anyone is in the market for prepackaged meals this is absolutely the way to go!

Peppercorn Steak - A round white plate holds a serving of cooked green beans, a scoop of mashed potatoes with visible red bits, and a piece of meatloaf topped with brown gravy. The plate is placed on a multicolored quilt with intricate patterns, and part of a person's blue clothing is visible on the left side of the image.

Ask the Community - MightyMeals

How are the meals packaged? I 'm concerned about trash disposal. Also, is there a meal plan -- required certain number of meals to be ordered per week? What is the significance of the points?

Three Leaf Dumpling - Delicious, super plump dumplings from Three Leaf Dumpling!

Three Leaf Dumpling

I'm excited to share my discovery of this amazingly wonderful new business in northern Virginia!…read more Whether you love dumplings or really haven't tried them before, this is a place that you have to try for yourself!! This business sells the most delicious and well crafted dumplings - all hand crafted by a master noodle maker with 30 years of experience. I've consumed three different types of their dumplings - chicken and celery, pork and cabbage, and shrimp. Each dumpling is plump and well filled with great ingredients - you can taste the freshness! The dumplings come frozen and only require a quick toss into some lightly boiling water. So when you're in the area contact this business and give them a try! It's always great to be able to support a deserving local business!

DELICIOUS, homemade and convenient!!!…read more I found this local gem off of a Northern Virginia Foodies facebook page. Don't be dismayed that this family business is a new one or a small local one! The dumplings are made in a commercial kitchen in Vienna, but you pick up the prepared and frozen raw dumplings from their customer pick-up location in Bristow. They offer a variety of dumplings: shrimp (includes a little bit of spinach), pork & cabbage, pork & leek, chicken & celery, and a vegetarian one. They also offer their special Organic Sweet & Sour Garlic Chili Sauce, which is a MUST HAVE with the dumplings! Don't be scared to have to cook the dumplings yourself! There are a multitude of cooking options available and can yield perfectly delicious dumplings! One can either boil (easiest), steam (healthy), or pan fry (requires the most effort) the dumplings. Just google how to cook Chinese dumplings for each technique. I met the owner's granddaughter, Peggy, who is the face of the company and THE NICEST person you could ever meet. She manages the day-to-day operations, while her grandfather, Mr. Han, handles all of the dumpling making. Three Leaf Dumpling's website touts that Mr. Han has been covered by the Washington Post for his mastery in hand-pulled noodles. From our taste-test of the dumplings we purchased (almost every single flavor), we can vouch that Mr. Han knows what he is doing! Currently, Three Leaf Dumpling is offering 10 additional dumplings for every flavor of order you purchase, in celebration of Chinese New Year. Go and try their dumplings! You will not be disappointed in this little gem!!

BUYER BEWARE!! Mysteriously, my updated review disappeared along w/my original review & now my…read morereview is "not recommended." Note: Owner's comment wrongly accuses this user as the cops weren't called during my visit. I just left absolutely disgusted. BLUF: You know when something is so good & you're waiting for the bottom to fall out? Unfortunately, for this place moment arrived. Food: gross & nowhere near the quality that was once enjoyed. No more hot, crispy, tasty chicken sandwiches, chicken strips, wraps, or even fries. Lobster rolls? Forget them. Most expensive sandwich you'll ever pay for only to wind up regretfully unsatisfied. In 2022 the food actually seemed like fresh-cooked home recipe chicken. Now, it seems like the food is no better than mass produced previously frozen fried stuff that you get at a nearby cheap chicken chain restaurant or local gas station. The joint is a no frills aged, rather dingy chicken stand/ice cream shop. Cookies & Cream: Some ice cream flavors are tasty but not the whole selection. Freezer on fritz? Sometimes flavors are gritty (melted and refrozen?), other times chewy or gummy (old?), & other times really soft or soupy. Maybe a small upcharge for a sugar cone may be ok, but charging extra for a regular cake cone? RUINS the epitome of a traditional ice cream experience. Too much competition in the area for an easy, tasty, scoop of ice cream! Nickel & diming customers gets old fast. Did they gain recognition for their wings at the expense of everything else? Worth the drive? NOT any more. General good practice: If you're having a bad day at work, it's usually a good idea NOT to take it out on your co-workers & customers. Another one bites the dust. This "flagship" location has fallen from grace in just about every important aspect necessary to small biz survival. Very disappointing discovery. These chicken sandwiches were once dream-worthy a few years ago when they first opened. But, now, it left me feeling queasy & the sandwiches looked horrible. Mine was a gloppy, greasy, soggy mound. Barely breaded/coated chicken on a greasy bun. I could see the meat through the carelessly floured or maybe cornmealed breading. The former thick coating of crispy, crunchy crust was completely absent as if they didn't even remember to dip it in batter. A complete opposite of what their sandwiches used to look & taste like. There was an overwhelming amount of mayo (picture a very thick paste-like layer) & a sparse runny tablespoon of slaw for which you pay an extra $1.50. A slab of rubber chicken between oily, soggy bread. The rest of the chicken we received looked like it was fried in old grease for way too long. Dry, dark brown bits. Soggy, chewy fries all stuck together in a compressed mass. Soaked up way too much oil. Kitchen staff unabashedly unwilling to be helpful & unnecessarily & rudely reactive in response to requests to remedy minor errors in the order. What we received from the kitchen should never have come out of the kitchen, including the kitchen staff, ready to throw punches. The cashier was the only positive to the visit. This place is still plagued with production, operational, customer service issues & it affects consistently producing high-quality food & service when the business is slightly off balance from mildly elevated degrees of stress. Be warned--these issues seem to run deep & will yield hit or miss results in both food & service on any given day. Every day carries some risk of increased stress but busier days carry the most, of course. A well-oiled business will consistenly & professionally manage this risk & the fallout when it occurs & will continuously right itself through contant planning for inevitable mishaps & executing best practices & industry gold-standard improvements. Maybe they've bitten off more than they can chew with a second location opening soon per reports & posts. In Manassas, plenty of other great places do fried foods extremely well. No more drooling over their food. We're left nauseated by the overly greasy food and with an experience tainted by shockingly horrible service & inconsistent food quality. To experience the decline of both food & service in a place that used to bring joy is a huge letdown. I cannot with good conscience recommend this place any more. This restaurant is no longer a good "complete package" value. Much competition exists & will exist in the area of the flagship & new location. Have already experienced a few of their "off days" over the past few years. BUT if you decide to try them because you believe this review is still an outlier, or you keep going there as a loyal customer, I hope you're lucky enough to catch them on a good day so that you get better food, better service, and better reception as a guest. This restaurant (and its "concept") is no longer one of our top 5 must-haves and has been decisively and permanently removed from our rotation.
