I am at a busy season where a meal preparation service could make a huge difference in my quality of life - - I spent a ton of time researching different companies in the area and Mighty Meals came highly recommended from so many different people I know and trust so I decided to order a week worth of meals for my family. I was able to do everything on my phone and I appreciate how their menu spans between different dietary preferences and they even have a bulk protein/side section - Delivery: Driver texts you ten minutes before they arrive. Everything was delivered on time and in an insulated cold pack. - Packaging: Everything we ordered was individually pakaged, properly labeled, and came with reheating instructions that were easy to understand - Flexibility: No subscriptions to commit to. - They try to partner with local farms and I didn't see any weird ingredients being listed. The Bad: - Food: We tried salmon, steak, and chicken with the lemon pepper steak being the best. The steak and chicken were dry/overcooked and the veggies were undercooked. Huge kudos to Hector, who--much to my surprise--delivered our order during Snowmageddon 2026! I have been gathering insight on different meal prepping services within the DMV area for the past three weeks. I have asked around at Crossfit competitions and even asked my fellow bodybuilders at PowerHousee: "Do you use a meal prep service, if no, whom would you use?" Surprisingly, a few companies were mentioned numerous times, MightyMeals being one of them. After reading through the plethora of social media account reviews, I decided to go with MightyMeals. My friend, Courtney B. provided me a referral code which was $25.00 off my first 4 orders of $100+. I used the link and moved forward with signing up. The signup process was super simple and could easily be completed using my iPhone instead of a laptop. The emails and text messages were immediate and the flow of things continued to be easy. One of the biggest selecting factors for me was the variety of proteins. I am a pescatarian. Being a pescatarian is an expensive diet and at times can get mundane. Sometimes I don't even want to bake, grill or even look at or smell fish. I feel as if I am loosing out on protein gains and muscle mass due to the fact that I don't want to prep it anymore. Honestly, taking the time to just look up 2-4 different baking techniques and/or seasonings to use takes a lot of patience and then to cook/slay and macro count is time consuming. When having the "is it worth it" conversation, as a bodybuilder/competitor/health nut/ab-obsessed person, I spent about 6 hours on a Sunday meal prepping for FOUR days worth of food. If you really take the time to divide your time out, you will see how much time is wasted on strict details, driving, cooking and macro counting. This system is now allowing me to spend more time doing things I want to do! Unlike the other meal prepping companies, MightyMeals had more than just shrimp or tilapia on their menu. In fact, they had so many options that I selected one of each and even went for a few vegan and vegetarian options too. Side note, I am super pumped to try the tofu dishes since I suck at making it myself (another reason to try MightyMeals--I no longer will force myself to down slimy clumpy homemade tofu). Also, to score 40 grams or more in a meal is pure perfection. I ordered 10 meals on a Sunday and they were delivered promptly on Thursday. The driver texted when he was 10 minutes out and took a drop-off picture--super simple. If you won't be there for drop-off, you can leave a cooler out. Packaging and directions were easy to open/read--everything they use is recyclable (another reason why I went with MightyMeals). You can leave the reusable bag out for the driver for the next delivery and they will pick it up, sanitize and reuse. I have ordered meals in the past, but wasn't too impressed. I received a code for $30 off so I thought I'd try it again to order a few meals for the family. I got two tequila lime beef tips meals. The tips were overcooked, dry and extremely chewy. The meat was so tough that we threw it away. Unfortunately this was the same lousy meat tips that were in the caviar bowl. If you're looking for pre-made, quick and healthy meals delivered to your door, give MightyMeals a try! We order our lunches weekly. They're nice size portions - usually I just eat half. My favorite is the bacon cheeseburger and fries. The burger is nicely seasoned, comes with a thick slab of bacon, cheddar cheese, onions, pickles, arugula and shoestring fries. We had a great experience with MightyMeals! The food delivery was on time on Sunday, and the food stayed fresh as we ate it through Thursday. Not having to cook or do dishes for a week was super luxurious. We are thinking we will do this for a few weeks when our next child is born later this year. Overall my family of 4 was happy with our first meals. The flavors were all pretty good. I just had the beef tacos for lunch. The one thing I would recommend for the tacos is to somehow have the tortillas separated from the rest of the meal. If the taco meal is not eaten right away the tortillas get wet and soggy. My 18 yr old son was a little disappointed in the portion size of a few of the meals. Overall though we were happy. We have ordered our 2nd week of meals. Great way to eaT healthy. Many options including low carb. They do have many options which I wish weren't on the higher end of the carb count or an options with less rice. I've ordered about $4,000 worth of food from Mighty Meals so far and have nothing but good things to say. After seeing me with these meal preps my wife eventually began ordering some for herself as well and to this day still orders with me. For the ladies out there, you can typically get 1.5-2 meals out of each meal prep so its very cost effective. My opinion about pricing is if you look at what your actually time is worth per hour based on your job, its worth more than prepping yourself, let alone you won't (for the average person) make food with as good of quality and variety. I've tried 10-12 meal prep companies in total over the past 5 years and Mighty Meals is by far the best. The pricing is typically average compared to the others, or in cases where it was more expensive it was because the other companies preps had less food or drastically lower quality. You also should factor in most other companies will charge for shipping whereas with MightyMeals you just order $130 worth of food and its free to your home. Otherwise it's still free and you just pick it up from one of many gyms that have partnered with them. Final thoughts, its an amazing company and is completely worth every penny. I had such a terrible experience with Mighty Meals. Not only were my meals never delivered but the representative for the company was rude, dismissive and frankly extremely unprofessional. First off, if you want your meals delivered to your house it's $10 extra or you can opt to inconveniently pick them up from a gym on their delivery list. After ordering from them a week prior to the "delivery date", I drove out of my way to a gym I don't even workout at to pick up my meals which were never delivered. I waited at the gym for about 20 minutes before the front desk receptionist explained to me that the Mighty Meals refrigerator was removed. Not once was I notified by Mighty Meals via email, phone call or text that my meals would not be at the gym. I had no way to contact Mighty Meals to find out where my meals were because they never answered my email and eventually I got a response via Instagram. When I explained to them what happened they neglected to take any responsibility and blamed the gym. Afterwards I personally spoke with a representative of Mighty Meals who was defensive, discourteous, and clueless. She continued to criticize the gym, argued with me about an email I never received and had no idea where my meals were . I will never order from Might Meals again, nor will I be recommending them to friends or family. read more

As someone who was tried a variety of meal services - Mighty Meals is the best. For someone who is trying to eat clean - these guys offer some fantastic clean eating options. Especially if you are someone that prefers to buy in bulk as opposed to individual meals (hint: the bulk option is on the bottom left of the order section). The food is delicious - the fish is still moist, the turkey and ground beef are amazing. With other food delivery services you have to add condiments to account for their lack of flavor or dried out dishes - not with these guys. The delivery is great - they always text me about 20 minutes before delivery (I get the home delivery option for free since I spend over 130 dollars per week. At 130+ you get free delivery). I can relate with the other people that have said that reaching this group via email is a bit slow. I reached out to them twice. The first time they got back to me 30 hours later (I emailed around midnight on Thursday night an they responded around 6 am on Saturday), the second time I emailed them around 3:30 on a Wednesday and they got back to me around 7:30 am on a Thursday. I'm assuming that they offer faster response times on Sunday when deliveries are being made. I've tried MANY meal prep services so here's the rub on MM: +++PROs+++ The meals are pretty damn good, I have yet to try one I didn't like Kitchen to door delivery ($130 minimum), they prepare on Saturday and deliver on Sunday so I've found ordering a full a week of meals is fine as far as fridge/shelf life goes (nothing has gone bad or spoiled on me yet) No shipping / packaging cost and dry ice hassle. Other out of the area meal prep services charge a sh!t ton in shipping and then you have to deal with all the unpackaging rigmarole and dry ice disposal. With Mighty Meals you literally get everything in a bag and just throw it in the fridge upon delivery, easiest meal prep ever :) *side note* they have many pickup locations for orders under $130, I've done it and it's a breeze. Bulk options in and of themselves are nice if you want to reduce cooking time out of your schedule or really get down in the weeds with pure meal to macro manipulation (although finding the macro info for bulk items is a challenge which brings on a con below) Local business, it's always great to support the local guys Best reliability hands down. I've had many issues with other services but Mighty Meals is like the old faithful of meal prep delivery, incredible streamlined customer service and always true to their word. ---CONs--- Expensive but rightfully so. All meal prep delivery services will cost more in comparison to prepping yourself but the issue with mighty meals is it's a little on the high end for what you get as far as food volume goes. Which brings us to the volume issue. The meals themselves are pretty small which makes me question the macros. I'm not slandering Mighty Meals integrity here, all I'm saying is the meals look (and eat) smaller in comparison to what I've prepped on my own calories/macro wise. This can be concerning if you need to be extremely dialed in seeing that inaccurate macros to contest prep is like an iceberg to the Titanic. *side note* I usually add additional steam in bag frozen veg or easy microwavable carbs to counter the low volume issue. Macros for bulk items, this is the biggest con in my opinion. They do such a great job of breaking down the macros for every individual meal but leave you in the dark on their bulk items. Upon email, I've been told to "use generic grilled chicken breast or flank steak in the MyFitness Pal app" but this doesn't sit well with me. We pay a lot of money for this service so how hard is it to determine/post info on single-ingredient bulk items per serving??? especially when you already provide such in-depth maco breakdowns for much more elaborate meals, what gives??? CONCLUSION All things considered, Mighty Meals is a great meal prep service and the owners truly do run an extraordinary operation. They're hands down the best provider I've dealt with thus far and Mighty Meals is now my go-to for meal prep delivery. I truly appreciate everything they have to offer so I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone living in the DMV area. I would like to say I am a huge fan of Mighty Meals!. I have tried about 3-5 meal prep companies/businesses and for now Mighty Meals is a favorite. When it comes to meal pep services I look at 6 things. Quality, Quantity, Price, Order & Delivery, Diversity, Customization, and Price. Below I have give my 2 cents on each service. Quality of Food - 5 Stars Simply put, the food has a lot of flavor. The seasoning and saucing is not over done and all of the foods in each meal compliment each other very well. Some of the dishes, like the Peruvian Rubbed Chicken has dipping sauces or spreads you can add on top of the pre-prepped meal. Quantity of Food- 4.5 Stars Depending on the meal and based off of how much you eat, the quantity of food is almost perfect. I would recommend that you check the amount of calories a meal has before purchasing since a meal might sound amazing until you realize that you ordered a meal that is only 300 calories. The meal will be delicious but leave you a little empty. I personally always aim for meals that are 550+ calories since I eat and train a lot. Ordering and Delivery- 5 Stars The ordering on the website is simple and easy to navigate through. You can pick up your food from multiple locations in the area. Depending on how much food you purchase, you get free delivery to your house on Sundays! This alone makes me love the service. Diversity- 5 Stars Multiple meals to choose from so you will not get bored. Spanish Influence, Asian Influence, American, Italian, Vegan, etc. I can not complain. Customizing Meals- 3 Star Since you are not able to customize a meal, I will have to give it a 3. Customization would be lovely, but I can see how that can become a headache for the business. On the plus side, you can order items in bulk and do what you please with them. Price- 4.5 Mighty Meals falls within a standard price for its service. Most companies, depending on the meal option, range from $7-$16 per meal. Mighty Meals falls in the middle of this spectrum with all of its meals. This is hands down the best meal prep company we have tried and we have tried quite few (including our own meals lol). I waited a few months before posting a review because I wanted the chance to try every option they offered and also to see their consistency of quality. After 3 months, I have not been let down once. Everything is delicious but of course I have my favorites - Lasagna, Basil Chicken Orzo, Chick Power Bowl. Also, there are many items where you can split it into two meals because how large it is (lasagna, Stefeno's Polpette, Spaghetti Squash, and Chicken Enchilada). These meals are all so flavorful and they offer many choices. Then there is the convenience factor which I believe is the number one benefit. I noticed the meals were soggy and sticky and tasted like it was expired the seared tuna looked and tasted disgusting When I tried to get a refund for the weeks cost of food, I was only offered credit towards future purchases. I kind of love Might Meals. My job is a drop off location for the company, so food delivery is super convenient for me. My favorite dishes are the shrimp fajitas, the bruchetta chicken and the jerk salmon. The chicken fajita bowl is also really good. I'm not a huge fan of the turkey meatballs and the salmon cake dishes. But by in large, I am happy with the quality of food, the taste of all meals (they are well seasoned), the convenience and the affordable price. I've ordered on and off from Mighty Meals for around 4 years. The food is good and some of the dishes are really excellent. A few, like the Pesto Salmon, are truly restaurant-grade. That said, there are two issues for me. First, quality control has declined, perhaps as a function of growth, but I got a meal this week that was completely missing the meat in a meat dish, and there have been a few issues of that nature lately, where it was obvious the people putting together the meals are just not giving them the TLC they used to give them. They quickly refunded the money, but still. Second, the beef tip dishes are ... not good. As the reviewer below me said, and she's 100 % on point, the beef tips are severely overcooked and just unbelievably tough and chewy, at a level that it's hard to believe the chef hasn't noticed and fixed. All that said, some of their dishes really rock, like the salmon dishes, the enchiladas, and anything with the carnitas meat. There are actually quite a few really good offerings. I hope they recapture their A-game as far as quality control, and drastically improve their beef tip and steak dishes, which are just not using an acceptable quality level of meat and preparation. read more

Mighty Meals is the best meal prep company I've ever used. I've tried a few other local meal prep companies and they couldn't compare. Some of my favorite meals are the tandoori chicken, chimichurri steak and bison lasagna. All taste like they were prepared by a seasoned chef and use fresh ingredients. My original intention in using Mighty Meals was for their easy accessibility, but I also liked the fact I lost a few pounds in the process. I ordered mighty meals for the first time this week. I was very impressed by how flavorful this keto friendly precooked meal was compared to other prepared meal services such as territory foods. I ordered the bruchetta chicken, which included grilled zuchinni and squash. After heating it up in the microwave for less than two minutes my meal was ready to eat and tasted very fresh. I just picked up my first order of Mighty Meals. I chose to purchase bulk protein instead of the individual meals themselves. I only mention it so folks know it's an option. This makes calorie counting and scrutinizing ingredients (for allergies or other reasons) easy. I went to the website, ordered two pounds of flank steak, spoke to zero humans, paid by credit card, and arrived at my designated pick up and grabbed my order without any problems. Score! But the real reason for the five star review is this: the proteins and other ingredients are local and they are VERY HIGH QUALITY. I just tried the flank steak and it's seasoned perfectly, and cooked just right. I'm honestly so incredibly impressed by the quality of the meat that I plan to continue ordering, and will tell anyone who will listen to do the same. I once tried to change my delivery date, which triggered an email to nowhere, so my food was delivered when I was out of town. The cooking instructions are kindergarten level.
