    Crabcake and hushpuppies

Thanks Brandon for your reply to my review. If you're open to some constructive feedback, I think it would be beneficial to add an additional side or even a roll to make a sandwich, at the same cost of 22.50. Again, it was a tasty crabcake and I enjoyed the roumalade sauce that accompanied it.

Awesome crab cakes!! Flavorful, delicious and big! Tasty remolaude.Great selection of sides; I got the potato salad, great mix of new potatoes, onions and hard boiled egg, along with the coleslaw which was really good, but I prefer a sweeter coleslaw. It is strictly take out, there are no seats, it was my first time, I think they do a big catering business. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU'RE INTO CRAB CAKES!

I went back and got the double Goliath crab cake platter with 2 sides! These are 8 oz crab cakes! Sooo good! I ordered online this time and my order was ready when I arrived. The location is clean but for carry out only.

It was my first time in Fairfax, VA, and I couldn't pass up the chance to try some East Coast crab cakes. A friend who recently visited recommended this place, although it's worth noting there are no seating spots; however, I opted to take my order back to my hotel room. I ordered two 5 oz crab cakes with two sides: potato salad and crab salad. The crab salad does cost a bit more, but it's absolutely worth it. These crab cakes were the best I've ever had, and I will definitely return in the future. I was quite full after enjoying the two crab cakes and sides. Next time, I think I'll go with just one crab cake and two sides! Speaking of which, both the potato salad and crab salad were superb. They were generous with the crab filling in both the crab cakes and the sides. This place is a must-try in Virginia!

I recently had the pleasure of trying Frye's Famous Crab Cakes, and let me tell you, they lived up to the hype! What sets Frye's apart is their perfect balance of ingredients. The seasoning was spot-on and the crab meat was fresh! I got the potato salad and hush puppies as my sides and they both were great! The hush-puppies were nice and hot and the potato salad was delicious! If you're a seafood lover, Frye's Famous Crab Cakes are an absolute must-try. You won't be disappointed!

I would see this place pop up every time when I searched "food" in this area but didn't know where it was located. I finally took a chance to locate it and give it a try because the pictures looked so good. Plus, I gave into the 5-star pressure from Yelp lol I ordered a crab cake dinner and a crab cake sandwich with some of their sides. For the sides, they were ok, and I feel like eventually they should add in one or two more to give more variety. Now, as for the crab cakes... Yes. They did not disappoint at all!! The employees were very helpful and provided great service while I waited on my order. I spoke with another couple, and they were advising me on what to order next time. They said that the crab pretzel was delicious and to make sure I ordered one next time. Trust me, I will be back!

Don't expect to dine-in here but DO expect to get some bomb diggity crab cakes! Yes they are delicious and no fillers; just seasoned perfectly and baked to perfection! Place our order online and it was ready when we got there! The crab pretzel had just came out the oven so after that 45 min ride home, it was still nice and warm. Picture just looks like a big blob, I know, but trust me when I say there 4 large soft pretzel sticks underneath and topped with lump crab and cheese! Sooo good! And let me also say that my hubby is a coleslaw snob lol and he actually said it was pretty good...that's a lot coming from him! The potato salad was really good too, nicely seasoned and I enjoy the chunkiness of it too! The price was reasonable especially you're getting lump crab! Will most definitely order again!

I understand it maybe hard to get all the shells but for the money I paid, I would expect the crabcakes to be shell free

Not sure if this is part of the chain's aesthetic, and if it's like this at every location or not... It was even in the bathroom, and clearly people took it too far, because next to the only urinal was a giant "F*** YOU", and it was crossed out by one big line, and not at all removed or attempted to be removed. To me it just seems too chaotic and encourages deviant behavior... This is not somewhere that I would bring my kids or family members, because of stuff like that. The food was ready when I got there, but I still had to stand around for a few minutes before someone finally came along and handed my order to me. I got the Catfish Basket with onion rings. It was about $16. I took the meal home and surprisingly the food was still piping hot when I sat down to eat it. The fish was excellent. There is the comment being made that the food is 'greasy', but I mean, it's fish - and it's fried... what do you expect? ...So, yes, the food was greasy, but that's part of the joy to it. If you want to eat healthy, go to Wegmans or Kroger. The fish was excellent. The breading was crunchy. The fish was soft and tender. No odor. Great seasoning - not too much, not too little. Not spicy at all (trust me, I'd be the first to tell you!) The onion rings were a bit on the less crispy side, not quite soggy, but still delicious none the less. The inner breading was just a bit spongy. They aren't like Outback's fried to a crisp onion rings/petals. The bag contained two moist towelettes and a pair of food grade disposable gloves, for those who indulge in the messiest of foods from here - not for simple fish. Also, when at the counter they wanted to know if I wanted any sauces. I did not, but I appreciated the gesture. I was happy with my service here and with the food overall. The restaurants appeal and decor gets a 5/10, because while the decor was nice and the wood facade of the furniture and structure were great, they were caked in a myriad of profanity and anarchy, as mentioned before about the graffiti-like markings. The food gets a 9/10, while it did have minor issues, it was overall an amazing lunch! The staff gets a 9.5/10 as well - While I was acknowledge once by a passing staff member running food to a table, I still had to wait a little while to be serviced, at the busiest time of day. I appreciate their time and efforts.

It was the standard white queso that I commonly associate with the Midwest because for the longest I couldn't get it on the East Coast, but it's not queso fundido. They offer Coke from a fountain, which is a huge plus. And the salsa was really good. The chips and salsa were free, so they absolutely get bonus points for that. I had the Cedar Plank Salmon, which was moist and well complimented by the red pepper coulis. My wife ordered the Cilantro Lime Roasted Grouper. It's a little thinner than a traditional New England chowder, but much more flavorful. We saved room for dessert and loved the key lime pie. We had our eyes on the pumpkin bread pudding, but they had unfortunately run out (maybe next time!). A huge shoutout to our bartender, Jesica. We loved that they were flying the Sri Lankan and US flags out front, it helped us find it in the strip mall. :) We wanted to try a few of my favorites -- string hoppers, hoppers, chicken kotthu, chicken curry and masala vadai (lentil fritter appetizer). None of it disappointed! My husband and daughter both loved the masala vadai, hoppers and chicken curry. We all enjoyed the real Sri Lankan drinks they had -- Dilmah brand! -- and sodas. It'd be great to add beer to the menu, my guess is they're waiting on the ABC license (there appears to be a bar ready to be stocked!). If you've never had Sri Lankan before, the staff is friendly and willing to field questions and give recommendations. It's always a little hard to describe Sri Lankan food -- but after growing up in Southeast Asia and spending time in India, I describe it as the missing link between the two -- which geographically makes sense! More coconut than Indian, and different spice combos than Indonesian/Thai. It's incredible unique and super tasty! Their menu also has pretty lengthy descriptions, which help you decide. I also loved the Sri Lankan pride on display -- cards on the table with different explanations of locations, etc; placemats with photos of its amazing nature and a TV playing scenes of the greatest hits of Sri Lankan tourism.

There used to be a similarly named Sri Lankan restaurant in DC proper, but since it closed I don't know where else you'd go for this cuisine. They had a tourism channel playing in the background, which was rather propagandistic but did have some interesting information about this distinctive island country. The cuisine is definitely distinctive; it is different than any Indian restaurant you'd try. Notably, it is not as vegetarian-friendly as a lot of Indian places, but there were still interesting things to try. I sampled a dish of stir-fried string hoppers (ultra-thin rice noodles) with shredded vegetables to match. It came with a mouthwatering spice mix and although I ordered it unsure if I would finish it, I did, aided by an accompanying chili paste. A vegetable soup was likewise tasty, and among their appetizer selections was a set of fantastic lentil fritters, which should be tried. The place could have been cleaner, and notably this cuisine is brightly colored and will stain a white table cloth pretty easily. I hope they do well and expand their menu offerings, and I was happy to have tried it.

Burrata Caprese was very flavorful with the perfect amount of salt and peppers and the sauces combination was great. Bronzino special was great, sauce was so good and veggies were still crunchy. Tried the chefs special mouse for desert and it was a perfect combination of textures with the crunchy caramel and the drizzles of fruit which made it taste very refreshing. I definitely recommend this place. It was such a nice dining experience.

You'll see some criticism in this review and maybe wonder if a 5 is really warranted. First of all,…read morethis is the best restaurant I've been to in Manassas. It might be the best Italian restaurant I've been to outside the beltway. So while they could do a couple things better, yes, I think 5 is the right number and we will be back, probably often. We were debating an appetizer and our waiter actually suggested we skip it to save room for dessert. We were there on Valentine's Day after all. We were originally going to start with 2 different salads and again our waiter informed us that 1 salad between the two of us would be enough. A restaurant NOT upselling? What? The salad was delicious. Lightly dressed and everything on it was fresh. We got the arugula and fennel salad and that's a combination I really enjoy. The bread service was also good. The focaccia was maybe a touch overworked if I had to find a negative but the olive oil and pepper to accompany it was a nice simple and relatively healthy way to start the meal. My wife ordered the salmon and I ordered a halibut that was a special. Both dishes had amazing flavor. The potatoes had a smoky flavor and were not overly seasoned so the potatoes flavor came through. I like broccoli, but holy cow I wish I knew what they did to their broccoli to make it taste so good. Really really amazing sides. And the fish was seasoned really well, too, and very fresh. My first complaint comes in at this point, though. Both dishes were a bit over in terms of the doneness of the fish. Still, a great meal but it could have been a little better if the fish had been cooked perfectly. On to dessert. My wife got the semifredo. It's in the restaurants name so you figure it will be good. It was very good. I got the creme brulee. When we asked the waiter what dessert to get, he didn't mention the creme brûlée. But I figured it was a special and so I wouldn't necessarily get to try it again. It was just ok. The custard was good. Slight hint of orange. The the topping was not good. It was over brûléed in spots to the point that it was almost burned and then under cooked in other areas so that the sugar hadn't quite set. The flavor overall was good, but I definitely regret my dessert decision. As I mentioned before the staff were delightful -- not enough words to express how great they were. The decor was upscale. More so than I expected for where the restaurant is located. Lots of touches of wood with understated lighting. It felt really elegant and perfect for a Valentine's Day date.
