This is the most convenient MT to me and I stayed away for over a year after watching the employee run his gloved hand through his hair while making my food. I came back and had a fine experience a week ago. (BTW an employee making food for the drive through looked VERY good) Today however I watched the employee making my food touch their pants with their gloved hand and then handed me dirty plastic ware. If they give me obviously dirty utensils what else is not up to par that I can't see? They need a better management staff for this location. read more

You could say anything you want about Mighty Taco, but on Saturday afternoon it was the only place that didn't fail us. Only the drive thru was open. It took no more than five minutes from ordering to getting the food and on our way. We weren't the only customers, either. I have already expressed my opinion about Mighty. It is still the same, but this time, the term 'fast food' got real and made sense. We were on the run and hungry. At one point I decided just not to eat anything, but my partner took over and I thank him for that. My Chicken Super Mighty didn't have anything 'super' about it. Despite that, it satisfied my hunger and tasted unexpectedly delicious. The Nachos Deluxe with Chicken also didn't match its name. It was just a messy side dish covered with the kind of salsa you buy in the grocery store. There was too much sour cream and not enough meat. Although it added some crunch to my food, I wouldn't have it again. The El Niño Burrito was eaten fast. I didn't manage to snap a photo in time before it was already gone. The crew with Joshua at the window came to the rescue, and that was most important. The food could have been prepared less sloppy, but it was fast and convenient. read more

I wanted to try the new "Chickle" (chicken in a taco), but things didn't go as planned. We entered the Drive-thru line and I want to say from start to finish, it took about 30 minutes to navigate. This was at 1:30 in the afternoon, clearly after a regular "lunch rush." When we finally got to place our order, "two Chickles with bleu cheese" , we were told they only had one left and if we wanted two, it would be another 20 minutes. WHAT?!? So one of us took a Chickle and the other chose a different meal, but really?!?! I was the winner of the chickle as my friend had already had it and said I needed to try it. Overall, I say, MEH. Just a lame chicken tender in a burrito shell with lettuce, some sauce, and pickles. Is this an attempt to get in the chicken wars, or mash-up with McDonalds? It was pretty boring. We were really looking forward to trying something different. The buffrito caught my eye. it said with blue cheese, and I said lots of blue cheese please. Good, seemingly newer location of Mighty Taco , although a little hard to get in and out of due to traffic. The inside is clean and the staff was attentive, including the manager. I will never understand why people in Buffalo don't worship this place, its soooo good! Wish we had it in the midwest! I usually get the max buffarito (which is a buffalo chicken burrito), the standard mighty taco (complete with slice cheese, guac and sour cream) and the loganberry drink (all awesome). I love mighty. Just don't compare this to Chipotle or any kind of tex mex. This is not southwest. This is Buffalo's fast food taco. It's sort of like a superior taco bell. It's a Mighty Taco, one of Buffalo's specialties. Out of all the fast food restaurants, I would choose MT every time. This location is nice too. Large dining area & a quick easy-access drive through. Had a great experience during my most recent. I stopped in with two friends, and we each got an array of different things and enjoyed them all! Food: I got a fish burrito with coleslaw and tartar sauce on it, on a wheat burrito, and it was delicious! So flavorful and filling! Their burritos must vary in size though because my burrito seemed longer than one of the burritos my friend got, but hers was steak I think. Very affordable prices too! We've been through this Mighty Taco drive-thru many times. Currently this location is still drive-thru only, and they usually keep it moving along fairly well. Although, I must say, this is not my favorite drive-thru set-up. There are two entrances into the drive-thru lane, and when it is busy, you inevitably end up in a 'Night at the Roxbury'-'esque sort of "You? Me? You? Me? You? You? Me? Me?" stand-off when trying to merge into the line. Plus if the line off of Wehrle is long, you're hanging out into the busy road until you even get your chance to Butabi-Brothers-style-negotiate the merge a few car-lengths up. But generally this all-drive-thru crew here keeps things moving along as best they can. My orders are always accurate, even with many customizations. And it is always yummy well-made Buffalo Mexican chow, or as I like to call it, Buff'ican. ;-) Our family are regulars at Mighty Tacos in general because all of our dietary needs are met, with many vegan, vegetarian, and meaty options. Our vegan daughter loved the Garden Burrito for a long time, but is now hooked on the Impossible Meat tacos, or as we like to call them, Impossi'Tacos. In addition to the vegan meat that we appreciate so much, it would be nice to see Mighty add a vegan cheese option in the future, too. As a vegetarian, I too enjoy the Impossi'Tacos sometimes, but also love a good Meatless Mighty, which is a refried beans taco with lots of toppings. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get, which is fresh and good quality for fast-food. Don't expect authentic regional Mexican cuisine here. With the right Buff'ican expectations, before you know it you'll be a lifelong Mighty lover like me, too. read more

I have to admit, Mighty Taco has been my guilty pleasure since they first appeared on Hertel. I've eaten there countless times with only a couple bad experiences and those I blame on draft beer. I can't say it's good Mexican food- just good fast food. It's generally fast and consistent. I'll usually try the new items but go back to my standard meat and cheese burrito. Today I saw the sign saying "we've combined with Costanzos". I pulled in and indeed they're making sloppy joes on Costanzo rolls. Cripe, you can't beat that. Naturally I drove around and had one and it was great. Hats off to Mighty for joining forces with another local institution and making a hell of a sandwich for all those late night drive through binges! read more

Decided to pull in here today to grab lunch, obviously with the Pandemic lunch options are limited and drive-thru, takeout are really your only choice. When I pulled into the drive-thru there were about 5 or 6 cars ahead of me ( just after 12:00pm so understandable ) so I figured it'd be a little while but after about 5-10 minutes of not moving it started to get out of whack for a drive-thru, after a couple more minutes of one car inching forward slowly I wanted to leave but you're land-locked in the drive-thru and backing out / driving away isn't an option. Eventually I was able to order my food......25 MINUTES after pulling into the drive-thru lane. I understand busy and understand a slight delay with the current environment, but it's MIGHTY TACO, they have the food ready in a couple of minutes, it shouldn't take that long to even get up to the ordering window. Once I got to the window, no explanation, no sorry for the wait...just "here's your food" ( with a kid who wasn't wearing gloves by the way ) Food was to be expected, low quality but if it was quick it's understandable, however I could have had many other food choices quicker with the wait at this location. I moved away almost 15 years ago but the taste, quality and value of mighty remains the same. I try to explain why might is so great and it can be hard to explain. Simple ingredients... the food is fresh and just plain good!! It's fast but I resist calling it fast food. It's real food made fast and made well! Mighty is Mighty. If you're disappointed, I don't think you quite know what you're getting yourself into. This location is generally pretty quick, food is always as expected, and pretty clean. Usually don't go to Mighty because I find them a bit pricey and they don't give free refills on beverages. But it is one of my wife's favorites. So I went there for her. She got her usual, a Super Mighty meal with chips and cheese and a pop. I asked for a Steak Quesadilla meal with chips and cheese and pop. Upon getting home, I pulled out the Quesadilla and was so totally disappointed. 2 bites, okay 3 bites and it was gone! **See pictures** Where was the large tortilla fold over into a half moon and sliced in pie wedges? Ohhh wait! that's Taco Bell! Pretty bad when Taco Bell's Quesadilla blows away A WNY staple like Mighty Taco. The only thing large about Mighty Taco's Quesadilla was it's price. Paid $7.00 for 3 bites, some chips and cheese and 5 or 6 gulps of pop (Sm. pop)! WOW! Now onto my wife's favorite, the Super Mighty. As she unwrapped it, she had to stop half way to run and get a plate, because the grease from the taco meat was dripping all over the place! She likes sour cream on it, and like usual, it a 50/50 chance you'll find all the sour cream at one end of the burrito and in this case, it was all at one end! How disappointing this visit was! But it gives me more of a reason to talk her out of going there next time we want to get something on the way home to eat. Message to Mighty Taco owners (not that you ever read these). Stop being so damn stingy! You have premium ingredients, I give you that. But look at other Mexican fast food places and have yours look like theirs with your premium ingredients. I absolutely love visiting here when I travel back home. It is a staple in my diet and I cannot deny the deliciousness of the beef and cheese burrito. However I am very irked that mighty taco has chosen as a company to change the format of the apple empanada. It literally taste like Play-Doh with apple slices in it. Drive thru was a super fast and easy experience. We got the beef tacos, both hard and soft, with guacamole. The beef was a little too soft for my liking. I should have added hot sauce. I got two of the vegan burritos. I ate one then and the next one the next day. When I got to the end of the second burrito, I tasted something new. I was pretty sure it was chicken and when I spit it out, that's exactly what it was. Not cool. I never eat at Mighty Taco, so I can't say this was one in a million. Cleanish, though there are definitely more flies in the place than I'd like. I honestly don't like most of the food here, but I think that's a personal taste thing. The folks I know who like Mighty Taco are more like devotees, and obviously there's some demand for the food elsewhere since they ship tacos and burritos all over the country. So I guess you shouldn't take my opinion of the grub here as fact. I'm not a devotee myself, but I usually get dragged here at least once a month. I don't mind snacking on MT's tortilla chips and cheese, which is actually pretty good, in a fast food way. What I do notice whenever I'm here though, is that the employees are usually much nicer than your typical take-out workers. Hearing words like "please" and "thank you" go a long way. So I live right next to the N. forest and Maple location and haven't had a bad taco yet. I come here while waiting on my daughter to be done with gymnastics and I was starving!!!! A super mighty fills me up...... usually. My taco, while fresh, was suuuuupeer thin. Was very skimmed on the meat. My first bite was nothing but the sour cream. The middle bit was ok and then complete with a final bite of lettuce and more sour cream. Was not very filling because I mostly ate a tortilla with a small helping of taco meat and then just lettuce and sour cream. Will probably not visit this location again. I can't write off Mighty because I've loved mighty since HS BUTTT this location has been checked off my list. I gave it two stars for the friendly drive thru guy and fast service......... I would have waited an extra 5 seconds for one more scoop of meat. read more

I went to this location on Wednesday Feb.23 at 5:00 PM. Ordered a large chicken fajita and no sour cream.. It came full of sour cream. I also ordered two Beef, Bean and Cheese Burritos mild with no sour cream. The receipt said bean and cheese Burritos. I corrected that before they made them. I got two Burritos all beef loaded with sour cream and no beans or cheese. They had marked the receipt Lg sour cream. I ordered two Apple Empinadas and at the window after paying they said they were out of Apple Empinadas and would I take two cookies instead. I understand they have a turn over of people but at least train the person taking the orders to PAY ATTENTION and question if they aren't sure. This was my regular Mighty Taco but no more until they get their stuff together. they should put a seasoned person on the order taking and let the new people put the food together following correct instructions. So, it almost feels like a guilty pleasure. Sort of. Is this a new addiction when I'm in Buffalo, NY now? Mighty Taco is a local chain the the area, and as you would guess, they serve up fast tacos and burritos (and cherry enchiladas). The key word here is FAST. I think I spent more time deciding on what I wanted then waiting for my food? But it's also really good grub. On the three (hehe) separate occasions I've been here this week, I've had a different burrito combo meal each day, and they all did not disappoint. Was it out of the ballpark, blow your mind delicious? Well, no. But it was consistently good & fast. So that = happy. The food is adequate for cheap Mexican drive thru. A step above Taco Bell, a tiny step. This location has no idea how to cook/preserve their beans. Crunchy Beans are No Bueno. Avoid the drive thru they treat you like cattle and don't bother to listen to your order. I've never seen an employee smile. Sad. read more
