Burnt end nachos

Walking around aimlessly at Yankee Stadium until this spot appeared around Section 132. Four lines open for people to try their slimmed down version of the menu. Between two people, ordered the Burnt End Nachos ($11ish), Dirty Fries with Burnt Ends ($10ish), and a Pulled Pork Sandwich ($10ish). Prices are high but man do you get your money's worth. Nachos are a bunch of salty rounded tortilla chips topped by a mountain of juicy urnt ends, peppers, and a tangy sauce. Though the chips are forgettable, the meat and sauce really bring the dish home. The "Dirty Fries" have the same amazingly cooked meat on top of crisp fries (way better than the chips). Pulled pork sandwich has well-cooked meat with cole slaw and moderate sauce inside a regular bun. Good meat here as well, yet hard to finish considering everything else. Really happy that I tried this spot over your regular concessions in the stadium. Worth the line/price.

A nice place with a simple menu. Great for an inexpensive dinner. The food prices start from $10.99…read moreup to 24.99. I had the surf and turf meal. Which consisted of rib eyes steak, baby back ribs and shrimp. The steak was nothing to write home about and I probably wouldn't order it again. The baby back ribs were just ok. However, the fried shrimp were excellent. They were golden brown, crispy and flavorful. The cornbread was good as well. Sweet and savory. I had it the next morning with coffee. The portion sizes are big and you can eat at least two meals out of it. As for the drinks I had a seltzer water with lemon. It tasted awful like the fountain wasn't cleaned. I also had a Long Island iced tea. Which was really good and gave me a buzz. If I go back here it will be for the cornbread the shrimp.

My family used to love BBQs. We frequently visited when I was young with my family and decided to…read morego in for my dads birthday. He had a boot on since he tore his Achilles and was using crutches. We went in 4/27 around 8ish at night. The manager who was on site this day DOES NOT need to be working at a restaurant. What an absolute ***** fill in the blank as you wish. They tried to sit 6 of us in this tiny little corner and we kindly asked if we could be placed somewhere where my dad could spread his legs out a bit more. This guy didn't even let us finish our sentence and RUDELY escorted us and to another table where he we began talking to him AGAIN AND HE RUDELY cut us off and walked away from us again. Gave us the biggest attitude, pointed to the table and left as if we were bothering him. I asked our waiter if he was a manager and shared my complaints with him because well if that's the manager and he acts like that, then I could only imagine him if we approached and confronted his behavior. I will never be back to this BBQs ever and whoever that guy is definitely needs a couple lessons in service. As someone who used to work as a waitress herself, I was completely baffled at his attitude especially since we were just trying to accommodate our dad who I must repeat was IN A BOOT AND CRUTCHES. Wish I would've gotten his name but absolutely left a terrible taste in my mouth about this place. Thankfully our server was very nice and made up for that man's unpleasantness.

The truck was at Cabrini Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry, Westchester, when I visited a resident today…read more It seems that the little cafe on the premises is undergoing renovations and the food truck was brought in so visitors and staff alike could buy food. I've never had Filipino food before and decided on the Loaded Steak Fries. It was freshly made as I waited and the server (owner?) was wonderfully friendly. I brought it home to eat and it was truly tasty and delicious- and amazingly was still hot despite the 20 minute journey. My only complaint is that I found it to be extremely salty - and I do not shy away from salt in my food.

Not sure I had the full and best experience. I had been spying this place for a bit and…read moreunfortunately had not had the time to get there. Friday evening was my last chance as they were nearing the end of their stay at Cross County Mall... I didn't want to wait for the last day. The gentleman behind the counter was not all that friendly nor engaging, but for good food I'd interact with a rabid pit bull so that was not a deal breaker but not a great start. Trouble started when everything I ordered they were out of. Out of Chicken Adobo? The Philippine national dish? How? I took what they had and paid the man, who reluctantly admitted he didn't prep much as Sunday was his last day. Still not acceptable but at least I understood. The dishes are filling, you won't go hungry. I lived in a community that had a large population of Philippine people so I am familiar with the food. This was hit or miss. Lotta rice to fill you up and would have preferred more protein. Orders are $17 each. The loaded fries were outstanding, the Hawaii chicken a bit too saucy and the pork was good. I didn't get to have the dishes I wanted so I was judging the food on things I didn't really crave... but it wasn't bad. I just wasn't wowed. I would like to try this again sometime but I'm not dying to go out of my way. It's probably a 3.5 not a 4.
