I am a regular customer here through the MealPal app. But it was today's interaction with the staff that led me to give a review today. I am mistakenly ordered through Uber eats at their world financial center location and when I receive the order it was missing ribs, macaroni and cheese, and brussels sprouts. I only got the brisket. STAN, the manager was nice enough to coordinate with the other location and have me come to this one since it was closer to my home to fulfill the missing items on my order. They didn't have to do that but they did providing excellent customer service and turning a mistake into a great experience after all. read more

Mighty Quinns happens to be one of the few and this location has been the most consistent as it pertains to quality and service versus the other locations. I was in the city the other day and I decided to have BBQ for lunch. I came across this Mighty Quinn's in Greenwich Village. The service was quick and the worker was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was quiet for a Sunday afternoon. I ordered the 3 meat sampler. I choose the Brisket, Sausage and Chipotle BBQ chicken. For my sides I had Macaroni and Cheese and Cole Slaw. My company ordered catering from Mighty Quinn's and I got to choose 2 meats and 2 sides. I chose brisket, pulled pork, roasted sweet potatoes and cole slaw. Both the meats were very dry and tough to eat. It wasn't enjoyable at all. But the sides were decent. It also came with little cups of bbq sauce, jalapeños, pickles, and pickled onions. Mighty Quinn's is a go-to spot for quick, delicious BBQ in NYC. I usually order the brisket naked, it's always fresh out of the oven and a good-sized portion. It also comes with a few fixings like coleslaw, pickled onions, and pickles. I typically pair it with one of the veggie-based sides (the beans are good too, though much more filling), but this time I went with the broccoli salad, which was fresh and flavorful. They also have a variety of BBQ sauces to try, which lets you customize the flavor to your liking. I love the West Village location--plenty of seating, fast service, and the staff is always kind and helpful. Mighty Quinn's ribs used to be tasty and tender. Barbecue is synonymous with July 4th. I wanted some that was reasonably priced. At the Greenwich Avenue location, I ordered four ribs that came with slaw, pickled red onions and pickles all in teeny tiny ramekins. I also ordered Brussels sprouts. When I got my tray my heart sank as I saw that the ribs looked like they had been sitting around for a while and were tepid. The meat was not tender or falling off the bone. Janelle helped me but had forgotten the sprouts which I got when I had finished two ribs. Now these sprouts were delicious and flavorful. I ate them with relish and thought that here is a vegetable far superior than the main. When Mighty Quinn first started at Smorgasbord I used to stand in the queue to relish the barbecue. The longest queues were for this stall. Then they opened on Second Avenue in the East Village and I continued to go there. It was excellent. They opened several branches and somehow lost the flavor. What happened? A unisex restroom is here and the interior was spacious and nicely air conditioned. Outdoor seating was also there and several hardy eaters were there. read more

My husband said Mighty Quinn's was on Diners, Drive-ins, & Dives & wanted to try them. We live in Atlanta & Fox Bros. there Is our typical standard for barbecue. I added 2 sides, burnt ends baked beans, very tasty, and the sweet potato casserole, also good, cornbread, & a ginger ale. My total was $43. The sides are big, but I was perplexed as to how the sides & a drink equaled the price of the three meat sampler. The portion size of the meats were plentiful & my husband & I could've shared a sampler w/ maybe different sides. The meat all could use a little more flavor/seasoning. I missed the smell of smoke inside, but it was slightly there in the meats, more so in the brisket than anything. The ribs were very meaty, some of the meatiest ribs I've had. They were decent; a little more seasoning would have made them better. These 2 meats were readily available and weren't as hot as the chicken, which came out shortly after I ordered. The breast meat was juicy and hot. The cornbread was good. I only wish they served it warm. I think they're worth a try. I wouldn't say it's the best barbecue I've had but it's also nowhere near the worst. I'd say they're mid-range for me. I'd rate them around a 3.5 if I could. read more

In my opinion, this location should be closed. I have gone to the location in the lower east side and have a great meal. I have been to this location on Greenwich twice and both times, the food has been subpar. On this visit, I had one of their bowls with rice. The presentation is severely lacking. They give you a large bowl with some rice in it and a little bit of meat. I could still see the bottom of the bowl without even touching. It looked like someone had already eaten some of the food. New York is NOT the BBQ Mecca of the USA but we used to have some good places like RUB and Brothers. Mighty Quinns started out just OK but it has slid downhill like an Olympic skier. The ribs were so dry that you couldn't even chew some. They were like burnt ends glued to a rib bone. The beans were just sitting in a paste instead of sauce. I think they were sitting on a steam table for at least a week. In closing I would say that Mighty Quins is so OVER and has lost me for good. They should refund at least 50% of the $56 it cost me. Sure enough, I had to walk right past Mighty Quinn's after missing the local 1 train from 14th street, so I figured it was time for some counter service barbecue. I ordered the half chicken as my main. It was dry in some spots, undercooked in other spots--I don't want to think about how long it had been sitting out for. Not worth the $14 test run. What made this one insulting was that the plastic forks and knives provided are too flimsy to actually steady and carve the chicken. That's a sign that the owner or manager is nowhere to be found. I also ordered the pork and beans empanadas. Reheated-to-order, they were not bad at all. The environment of this restaurant is pretty sad, dimly lit with employees who didn't seem particularly happy to be there. *** 4.5 stars *** Since I wasn't a fan of either team in the Super Bowl (Eagles and Chiefs) I decided that I wanted to get food to support both teams: Hoagies from Philly for the Eagles and BBQ for the Chiefs. I did some research for the best BBQ in NYC, in particular burnt ends since Kansas is famous for them, and Mighty Quinn's came up in my search. I placed the order online for a tray of beans with burnt ends, a rack of ribs, and 25 BBQ wings. It felt like a decent amount of food for just over $100. They also had a game day package for $110 but after reading the reviews, I really wanted the beans. I showed up just past 4 pm (for a 4:15 pm pick up time) and it was ready just before 4:15 pm, a precision that I really appreciate since sometimes timed orders end up being made early and sit out for a while before pick up. The BBQ was DELICIOUS - sweet but not too sweet and the beans were definitely a stand out. It didn't quite have much meat as I was expecting, but was delicious nonetheless. This place was surprisingly underwhelming. I came here after reading many reviews about how this location is really good, but it was not. First, the food here was not warm. I ordered a family sized portion of food to share among 5 people including me. Got the beef brisket and burnt ends for the 2 meats; broccoli salad, and mac & cheese for the sides (they come in a really big container). It comes with a side of buns and corn bread. The value is great. However, the food was underwhelming. The meats, which I believe is the most important of this place were not hot at all, the temperature of the meats were a sad warm/cold. I asked the cashier if it's possible to reheat the food and they said no. The meats are flavored well, but without it being hot I couldn't enjoy it. The sides were good, but like its name, it's a "side", not the "main." The corn bread and buns were also cold, it wasn't heated up, so I was really disappointed considering I went around 6-6:30pm on weekday night, literally no one else seated eating except me and my 4 other people.
