    Classic SMASHED

I feel like every other block there is a new smash burger spot popping up in the city. Union square just recently opened Smashy around the same time that Smashed opened on Third Ave and they aren't that far from each other (meanwhile multiple others already exist nearby in EV...) Felt like the inside itself was clean and it is nice that they have actual tables to sit at. They cooked the burgers pretty quickly and it was indeed very "smashed" and flat. Burger had a lot of flavor and I liked the sauce. They have a lot of fry options - I opted to try the onion rings. They were OK, nothing special and I didn't love the ketchup they had. I think it was just water soda and milkshakes offered. (No alcohol) Price point was decent - the lunch special from 12-3 M-F is actually a great deal.

HUGE for the price. Definitely fulfilled the craving. I wouldn't say it beats 7th street but it's a great option around union square. There's also smashy and popburger near by but I haven't tried them. Absolutely LOVED the sweet potato fries. Highly recommend! Service was fast and inside was clean. they had free candy at the ordering desk too haha.

Visited this spot during Pride because the food street was way too chaotic and expensive. Love the quick, convenience of this burger spot and the smashburgers were actually quite delicious! I would definitely stop here again if I was in the area and needed a quick lunch.

I was here a while ago. They weren't that crowded and the guy in front was nice. Compared to other smash burger places, Smashed or rather SMASHED offers a few more options in terms of toppings. I went with the Double Oklahoma Burger consisting of two beef patties, thinly sliced grilled onions, American cheese, and SMASHED sauce on a Martin's roll which was $12. Compared to other places, I found the burger a bit messier which was maybe because of the sauce on there. It was meaty but it felt thinner than other spots even with the two different patties so perhaps it's pounded a bit more here which also led to the outside being almost too crispy while the inside was a proper texture. In terms of flavor, it was alright though nothing unique enough. The cheese wasn't super melted either as can be seen. For the price point, I think you get a bit of a better deal at the newer Smashy next to Union Square let alone the same price at the various 7th Streets and for flavor, it doesn't really compare to the best; Gotham Burger Social Club. Sorry for not echoing the four review train (and not matching the closest subway.) Decent spot.

There's lots of smash burger options around these days, but I still go to this one because I find their beef to be of better quality.

Excellent smashed burger and fries. The fries did not require ketchup at all. Service very friendly and welcomong.

My friend and I came to PJ Clarke's to watch the Knicks in the NBA Finals, and despite the…read moredisappointing outcome of the game, we had a great night. We were thrilled to find two seats at the end of the bar when we arrived. As luck would have it, the two gentlemen next to us eventually left, allowing us to slide over and enjoy an even better view of the TV for the rest of the game. I started with a Tito's and club soda, but unfortunately, something seemed off--perhaps the club soda was flat. The drink just wasn't good. To their credit, the bartender took it back without hesitation and was very accommodating. I then ordered a Negroni after the woman sitting next to us highly recommended it. I don't usually drink gin, but this cocktail was absolutely delicious and changed my mind. Since we were there for several hours, we shared an order of zucchini and eggplant chips and happily snacked on them throughout the game. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, with a nice mix of ages and people enjoying the evening. We made sure to leave our bartender a generous tip since we occupied our seats for the entire game. Even though the Knicks didn't pull out a win that night, we certainly didn't leave defeated. I'd happily return for another game, cocktail, and fun evening out. And maybe even get dinner there. Little did I know there was another big room in the ack once you past the restrooms. They were having a thriving business there!

He was constantly busy zippin around but maintained a nice demeanor and made everyone feel welcome! Must orders of mine: the burger! Although small, it comes out piping hot and the fresh white onion between the bottom bun and burger is awesome because it doesn't make the bottom bun soggy and catches all the juices from the actual meat. Love subbing the fries for a Caesar salad! Standout appetizer is the fried zucchini and eggplant with tzatziki-- crispy, hot, juicy and I get it every time!

I have had the pleasure of dining here twice now. I understand why people flock here. The food is…read morevery, very good, staff is very very kind, and the interior design is very aesthetically pleasing. The downside is that it is tough to get reservations but if you aren't in a rush, you can put your name down, get a drink while waiting and stalk the bar. This method has worked out both times. So far I have tried the following dishes which I love equally and honestly cannot bring myself to rank in an order: - truffle monkey bread - shrimp pasta - lobster pasta - lemon meringue - chocolate cake (not pictured, demolished before I got a chance) I look forward to many more visits here, especially to try the burger and the martinis!

The Thick Cut Bacon (8.5/10) was sweet, crunchy, and cooked perfectly. The Wagyu Cheeseburger (7.5/10) tasted good, but the bun was too dry, dense, and oversized for the burger. The King Crab Rangoon (8/10) was packed with crab, almost too much for my taste, but the sweet chili and hot mustard sauces balanced it out nicely. The Espresso Martini (6/10) was a pretty standard espresso martini. The Long Island Cold Brew (3/10) tasted like cold brew mixed with vodka, which just wasn't for me. Service was fine overall (7/10). The highlight was the complimentary sorbet they brought out for my friend's birthday. The vibes were classic Hogsalt with dim lighting, old-school jazz, and a cozy atmosphere (7/10).
