My disabled sister, who has very little money, took her car here to have muffler fixed. They charged her a hefty price only to weld the muffler on instead of bolting it the way it should have been done. I have spoken to 3 legitimate mechanics who all said that the muffler should have never been welded, and that this is a shoddy way to secure instead of the right way, which is absolutely bolting it. The man on the phone is SO rude, so rude; in fact, he is a mean horrible nasty man. The minute I told him about his shoddy workmanship and the correct way it should have been done, he just kept yelling on the phone and would not let me get a word in edgewise. He hung up on me, I called back, he hung up on me, I called back (rinse and repeat)...each time he wouldn't let me speak and kept yelling. I called back again, my only intention is to have Mighty Muffler fix their shoddy workmanship and he told me I was being recorded so he could report me for phone harassment; he had no intention of making a right out of his wrong. In the meantime, it is costing my sister close to $200 more to have work done on her car because of their laziness and taking the easy way to fix her muffler instead of the RIGHT way. They fully took advantage of a disabled woman with little income. Worse, they laugh about it and don't have the decency to correct the issue they caused....such a shameful and absolutely horrible business. read more

I had them replace the catalytic converters on my car in September 2012 and within a few weeks, the check engine light started coming on. I had it checked out a couple of times and the reading kept coming back saying there was a problem with the catalytic converters. I took my car back to them and they said there was something wrong with my car that was causing the converters to fail and I needed to take it to a mechanic to figure out what was wrong. I took my car to a very reputable automotive shop and after extensive testing, they determined the problem was the front converter was not the right one for my vehicle. I took my car back to Mighty Muffler, along with a detailed explanation of the problem from the mechanic and a letter from the Colorado Department of Health & Environment explaining problems with improper after market converters. Even with all that information and a 1-year guarantee from them, they refused to fix the problem. They insisted they installed the right converter, the mechanic didn't know what he was talking about and there must be something else wrong with my car. I now have to pay an additional $400 to get the proper converter installed so that the car will pass an emission test and I can get my license plates. BEWARE - there is a reason they can offer the lowest price on converters!!! read more

i purchased a chrome exhaust tip for my son's pickup. The shop had the tip in stock and said it was the correct one for his truck. It was not the correct tip and the shop owner would not refund my money. Don,t do business here and get ripped off. read more

I had Mighty Muffler install a new muffler and tail pipe 10 months ago, and 2 months ago it started making noise (this is a Jeep Wrangler that doesn't get used much). My son needed to use it for a couple of weeks so his truck could be worked on and I told him to run it up to Mighty Muffler for repairs, MIGHTY MUFFLER is terrible, they will Not warranty their work. The Support Strap fell off and when I noticed it was off I put it back on but it now rattles with the support on, with it off it makes noise. They say the engine runs to hot and ruined the muffler when it fell apart due to the support. I have a small plumbing business and I Stand up and repair my work if something goes wrong. Things happen but a Good Business Stands Behind their work. Mighty Muffler told my son that they Didn't Install that Muffler.! Not true. Scab Company. There are many Muffler Companies in the Arvada Area, look around because these guys do Not Stand behind their Work or Products. Terrible Terrible, it's not very much, under $200.00 to replace it with them or another company but I'd rather give my money to a business that will stand behind their work. Went in to only get a exhaust leak fixed and the muffler a little lowered. Ended up leaving with the whole exhaust welded together and the muffler lowered at a ridiculously height. For $120.. I figured they knew what they were doing so I didn't mind to spend the cash ... What a mistake! Lost HP, the bottom rattles and the muffler height looked stupid.. They hire anyone who can weld but has no idea about exhaust "performance"... Just a review to save the next customer time by recommending to stay away from this shop. read more

Any job is obviously too much work for this fake "custom exhaust shop." All I needed installed was a header, 1 o2 sensor and a muffler. Instead of a new pipe they cut out my old, rusted o2 sensor bung and put an extremely bad 1 inch wide weld OVER the rust. The header leaked so bad, when I checked it, the nuts were not even hand tight. I paid $500 for this work. When I asked the manager, Jim, about the leaks he basically told me they do not guarantee any of their work. If it leaks, that is not his problem, it's mine. He then said he had other customers in line and that his shop works on quantity not quality. I was shocked. I went in 3 different times to get a quote to ensure I was getting the right parts. I did contact the owner and I received a refund for HALF. I then went to Midas over on 64th ave and experienced Real customer service. I was reinsured I wasn't just crazy for going to get exhaust work and expecting NO LEAKS. MIGHTY MUFFLER IS BAD NEWS. THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER JUST TO MAKE A DIME. read more
