Jerimiah, acting like a Manager, said he was the only person there (even though I saw someone else) and ask me to come back. I went back that afternoon and Jerimiah told the guy in front of me that he would need to come back for a battery installation because there was a line, there were only 3 people in line at that point. Jerimiah started to help me buy the battery and then left me standing there to take a phone call. Alan then helped the guy behind me purchase 2 batteries. I then asked if Alan would help me since Jerimiah hadn't returned. I did see Jerimiah standing off to the side, not doing anything after he helped the customer on the phone, and he only came back once Alan was helping me. Alan asked Jerimiah if he would like him to do the install and then Jerimiah said yes, because he didn't know how to install a battery....Now there was a small line and Alan asked me to wait outside until the line was cleared, which I did patiently. Then about 5 mintues later, Alan comes outside with a woman and is looking under her hood. After about 10 minutes in the cold, I asked Alan if there was someone else who could help me - note, this woman was behind me in line, she should have waited her turn to get help with her car until the line was cleared, just as I was asked to do. Alan got a little snippy and said there is a line and he will get to me as soon as he can. I then went inside and asked Jerimiah if there was anyone else that could help me install the battery I already paid for and that Alan was helping a customer who was after me in line, Alan followed me inside and Jermiah told him to help me next. When I got home I filled out the survey and gave them a 1 - which again, is to generous. Monday morning while I was working someone called me pretending to be a Regional Manager and asked me about my experience. I told him I'm working but will take the time to explain what happened, after I explained, the man replied that what they should have done was told me to go next door and have the battery installed. I told him, no, what they should have done was helped me with my car before helping the woman behind me with her car and hung up. Auto Zone advertises that they install batteries and that is the only reason I went there. I waited very patiently only to have Alan flirt with the woman behind me and then talk nasty to me when I asked how much longer it would be - it was cold outside and I was before her. Note: She didn't purchase anything, she ended up driving off. Auto Zone Thornton Colorado and 128th - take care of the people who spend money with you and train your people so everyone knows how to install batteries.

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised! I was greeted, treated very nice (not like I was an inconvenience, like the other places I'd been). The place to drive my car in was easy to locate with signs and plenty of room to maneuver. Everything was clean and everyone seemed well organized. I was provided all the information I asked for, verbally and in writing, AND they even washed my car for me, before giving it back! All things that were not provided at other Subaru's around the Denver area. This is the kind of treatment I am used to and have come to expect from Subaru; glad I finally found one in the area that provides it. (I was previously in Northern Virginia where all of this is pretty standard). The story: I had an appointment, which I scheduled online, arrived and drove myself in and checked in with Joshua. He was very nice, actually read my online notes on what I wanted, told me it'd be an hour to an hour and a half (I had requested oil change, all fluids checked, and all systems inspection because my service contract was coming to an end soon and I wanted to ensure that no work was needed). We left and went for a walk around the neighborhood, came back about an hour later and sat in the waiting area. The waiting area is nice because it provides snacks and drinks (although I do wish something more interesting was on the TV's). Without having said anything that we were in there, Joshua came in and found me to give me an update on things. He must have seen us come back, which is nice that he was paying attention to that while busy with other customers too. My car did need an alignment which unfortunately took an additional hour (not sure why an alignment takes that long). Afterwards, Joshua came back and brought me out to explain everything. He even gave me an entire analysis write up they did on my car, which I never received from the other places either. Then pointed me to my car, which was brought inside, so I didn't have to wonder around outside looking for it; and it was even washed up for me. Finally, a Subaru that takes care of their customers! I will mention that the only reason I didn't give this a 5 star is because it took over 2 hours to do this work, which in my experience is excessive for someone who made an appointment and didn't just drop it off in the morning to have done anytime during the day. Normally this would be a lot more irritating as a I value my time, but this inconvenience was easy to overlook, given how well I was treated.
