I don't think they still believe that quality is everything as they proudly proclaim on their wall. They got both burger orders wrong. The patties were over cooked and fries are soggy. I paid $25 for a regular vanilla shake, six chicken fingers and fries. The fries were all burnt and the chicken was so overcooked that my cajun husband asked me if it was catfish. There was no gravy with the chicken fingers either. It took me almost an hour to get back home with the food and I live close by. We have come to eat here a few times before. The first two times they charged us additionally for cheese on a child's burger. When we asked about it, they argued that it was just policy to charge for cheese on a kids burger. We visited tonight because my daughter won a FREE kids meal, and their policy had changed. My parents and I ate lunch here before an afternoon of furniture shopping. I've eaten at Mighty Fine before but it's been years. I couldn't decide if I wanted a 1/4 pound burger or 1/2 pound. The cashier stated she could have the staff do a demo. I thought this would entail bringing out a food model of each patty. Oh no, she shouted to the cook and then all the employees yelled something and then the cook scooped up a 1/4 pound and 1/2 pound burger patty right off the grill. He used the spatula to hold it up so I could see it lol. It was awesome! For all of that effort, I had to get the 1/2 pound burger. Plus I needed my fuel for furniture shopping. It didn't take long to get our food. The burger was really good! It was juicy and had a lot of flavor. When we were done, we noticed that it had started raining. It is a counter ordered type of establishment where they take your order, give you a number, and then you pick your table. You can order your burger any way you want it and if you don't want a burger, no problem - they also offer dogs - with chili I might add. Pretty tasty. We tried the one in Sunset Valley. This place has a unique vibe when you walk in. Long rows of connecting tables, like you would see at some bbq restaurants. I ordered online, which is what I prefer in order to make sure I order exactly what I like. Unfortunately my kids cheeseburger didn't have cheese. Now, I only noticed after a few bites that I didn't get what I wanted, so I didn't mention it to staff, as I'm sure they would have corrected it. Upon arriving I wasn't greeted for a couple of minutes, but to be fair, I was looking at my phone. The burgers were delicious. The beef patty is thick and juicy. The fries are just ok, not too great and a lot of them fell out of the wrapper and into the to-go bag, which I didn't care for. I received complimentary house chips with a ranch dip. They said they were a new item. I really liked the chips. They were light and airy with good flavor and not too salty. Plus, they tasted delicious with the ranch dip. Overall, I think I will return, but it's a bit pricey in my opinion. I'll skip the fries next time and go with the house chips or maybe give the onion rings a try! read more

So glad we discovered this place! Officially found a new chili hot dog/fries and burger place. The chili was flavorful, and had that Texas chili taste I love. The hot dog link also had a lot of flavor. If you like milkshakes, the Strawberry Cheesecake milkshake is one of the best milkshakes me and my girlfriend have ever tried. Service was very fast and polite. We really liked the picnic feel of the tables inside. It really made you feel like you were at at a Texas BBQ. I have to say my takeout experience was not on the level of where Mighty Fine was operating before Covid, and before the previous owners went bat schitt racist and had to sell. Bottom Line: THE BURGER WAS PAR COOKED. My pickup was set for 5;01pm, I showed up 10 minutes early, and the food was already done and the burger was not hot. The cheese didn't even melt on the 7-8 min drive home. I don't like burgers that were cooked off hours ago. Yuck. This par cooking of burgers is one of the main reasons I hate fast food burgers. It's lazy, it assumes that the customers are not discerning, it insults my intelligence. What made Mighty Fine great is being quick service, not fast food. Freshness WAS the core of the business model. Well, Tony C's Pizza and League Tavern people BOO on YOU. I paid almost $40 to feed two kids and two adults, no drinks, and the burgers sucked. I reiterated TWICE that I would like a shake with half strawberry and half chocolate, it even SAYS IT ON THE CUP. What did I get? A sickeningly sweet caramel (which I hate) and it went in the trash, just like this business. The Mighty has fallen. Perhaps the pandemic took its toll on another Austin favorite. This particular location has declined in quality and service. The tables, floors and bathrooms were dirty. The trash cans overflowed. The once unique drink tumblers are now styrofoam throw aways. The novelty of an automatic hand washing station seemed tired/worn and void of the "Clean hands" stickers for the kids. It's the little things that become the tell of a declining business. As far as food - Our burgers were well-well done. The meat patty was dry with crisp edges. We even got the wrong toppings on our order. The side onion rings seemed like a half order at full price.
