The Half-Pound Burger was filling, super flavorful and cooked medium-well. Vegetable options and other add-ons can be purchased to customize your burger to your liking. It can also be paired with a heaping portion-size of fries. There's an assortment of beverages, fountain drinks, shakes, teas and lemonades. I recommend trying the shakes and lemonades. The Lady decided that she wanted a burger, I wanted something different, so that means she wins. :-) It was my first time there and the Lady's second time. The ordering process was a little confusing with all the different variations, but we rode it out. As she was getting the iced tea, I watched the meat guy hand forming the patties. We both got 1/2 pounders, with mayo, lettuce, pickle, and tomato, along with onion rings and tea. I was going to get cheese and jalapenos, but I wanted to try the basic burger first. We ordered both cooked medium. The burgers were cooked exactly as we wanted,medium, constructed correctly, service on point as they were brought to the table. The tables were a bit difficult to navigate through, but as veterans of many mess halls, go to the end at the wall and then you won't have hoards of people bumping into your chair to get a seat at the table. However, you have that opportunity yourself when you leave. All in all it was good. The burger were juicy, but the onion rings, while lightly battered were good but very greasy. The 1/2 pound with a side is pretty substantial, but I liked the thick meat. The place was clean, the staff worked hard. Why 3 and not 4 stars? Well it just didn't hit the sweet spot. That may be cured with a revisit and different approach. I think next time, with Jalapenos, putting down plenty of napkins for the onion rings to rest just might do the trick. Also, not going at the lunch rush may actually be the ticket. A bib would also be a good idea. :-) read more

This used to be my favorite burger place, where I didn't have to wait long for burgers were as good as any in town. I don't think they still believe that quality is everything as they proudly proclaim on their wall. They got both burger orders wrong. The patties were over cooked and fries are soggy. My parents and I ate lunch here before an afternoon of furniture shopping. I've eaten at Mighty Fine before but it's been years. I couldn't decide if I wanted a 1/4 pound burger or 1/2 pound. The cashier stated she could have the staff do a demo. I thought this would entail bringing out a food model of each patty. Oh no, she shouted to the cook and then all the employees yelled something and then the cook scooped up a 1/4 pound and 1/2 pound burger patty right off the grill. He used the spatula to hold it up so I could see it lol. It was awesome! For all of that effort, I had to get the 1/2 pound burger. Plus I needed my fuel for furniture shopping. It didn't take long to get our food. The burger was really good! It was juicy and had a lot of flavor. When we were done, we noticed that it had started raining. It is a counter ordered type of establishment where they take your order, give you a number, and then you pick your table. You can order your burger any way you want it and if you don't want a burger, no problem - they also offer dogs - with chili I might add. Pretty tasty. We tried the one in Sunset Valley. When we asked about it, they argued that it was just policy to charge for cheese on a kids burger. We visited tonight because my daughter won a FREE kids meal, and their policy had changed. This place has a unique vibe when you walk in. Long rows of connecting tables, like you would see at some bbq restaurants. I ordered online, which is what I prefer in order to make sure I order exactly what I like. Unfortunately my kids cheeseburger didn't have cheese. Now, I only noticed after a few bites that I didn't get what I wanted, so I didn't mention it to staff, as I'm sure they would have corrected it. Upon arriving I wasn't greeted for a couple of minutes, but to be fair, I was looking at my phone. The burgers were delicious. The beef patty is thick and juicy. The fries are just ok, not too great and a lot of them fell out of the wrapper and into the to-go bag, which I didn't care for. I received complimentary house chips with a ranch dip. They said they were a new item. I really liked the chips. They were light and airy with good flavor and not too salty. Plus, they tasted delicious with the ranch dip. So glad we discovered this place! Officially found a new chili hot dog/fries and burger place. The chili was flavorful, and had that Texas chili taste I love. The hot dog link also had a lot of flavor. If you like milkshakes, the Strawberry Cheesecake milkshake is one of the best milkshakes me and my girlfriend have ever tried. Service was very fast and polite. We really liked the picnic feel of the tables inside. It really made you feel like you were at at a Texas BBQ. I have to say my takeout experience was not on the level of where Mighty Fine was operating before Covid, and before the previous owners went bat schitt racist and had to sell. Bottom Line: THE BURGER WAS PAR COOKED. My pickup was set for 5;01pm, I showed up 10 minutes early, and the food was already done and the burger was not hot. The cheese didn't even melt on the 7-8 min drive home. I don't like burgers that were cooked off hours ago. Yuck. This par cooking of burgers is one of the main reasons I hate fast food burgers. It's lazy, it assumes that the customers are not discerning, it insults my intelligence. What made Mighty Fine great is being quick service, not fast food. Freshness WAS the core of the business model. Well, Tony C's Pizza and League Tavern people BOO on YOU. I paid almost $40 to feed two kids and two adults, no drinks, and the burgers sucked. This is the second crappy review I've had to leave for this business, sad. The restaurant was slow and I was the only person ordering. I reiterated TWICE that I would like a shake with half strawberry and half chocolate, it even SAYS IT ON THE CUP. What did I get? A sickeningly sweet caramel (which I hate) and it went in the trash, just like this business.
