So, when I checked in, the office staff receptionist (Bethany) bluntly asked, "Did you call to let anyone know that you were going to be late for your appointment?" Well, I didn't think that 10 minutes was a big deal. So, "No, I did not". Her rude response was, "Well, I am not sure that the Dr. will be able to see you." So, I thought ... WOW!!! This is not a place that welcomes new patients nor is customer service friendly in ANY way. In this day and age where a patient can go to ANY doctor, it would make sense to treat your patients with a decent "bedside manner" versus an initial condescending attitude -- it would probably be a better approach. Bethany then gets on the phone as if to make a phone call and proceeds to start to talking (without looking at me). So, after she is almost done with her long rant, I then ask "Are you talking to me? I thought that you were talking to someone else because I wasn't sure why you would be on phone (and not even look at me, or get my attention) when you want me to hear what you are saying?" Again... HOW RUDE!! I'm not sure where Bethany learned her "receptionist skills", but she definitely needs some more in-servicing. Bethany then proceeds to continue her line of questioning to ask me if I brought my paperwork with me to which I responded: "I'm sorry. I don't remember getting any paperwork. Did you send me something because No, I didn't bring anything." Her response is that the scheduling people usually tell patients to go on-line to download the paperwork. Lesson #2 for Bethany = It would make sense to email patients a link for paperwork or send them the PDF file of paperwork to make it easy for them to do whatever it is that they are supposed to do. I'm a pretty compliant patient, being an RN myself. So, I would have no problems filling out the paperwork ahead of time rather than rudely belittling me, again.... I too would like to be seen expeditiously, and I respect that doctors are busy as well. So, make it easy for both of us!! Now I am frustrated. I tell her that I don't want to fill out the paperwork unless the doctor is able to see me. She makes a few phone calls and can't get any answers, leaves the desk, and returns to say that the doctor will see me and to have a seat. After 15 minutes, Bethany calls me back to the desk to let me know that the doctor is NOT able to see me now. Really?? Lesson #3 for Bethany = Don't lie to your patients. It doesn't give them a sense of comfort to know that staff just make up stuff without asking the doctor directly. THEN... she proceeds to ask me if I'd like to make another appointment to see the doctor. SERIOUSLY?? The only reason that I was willing to switch OB-GYN doctors is because my friend made the recommendation. (That is the best form of advertisement -- FREE!). With the multitude of doctors available in the Chgoland area, I would definitely go elsewhere and steer clear of this organization, unless you want to be treated in a demeaning manner. I too worked in a few surgeons' and doctor's offices. And not ONCE did I make anyone feel not welcomed. I realize patients are late. And Doctors are late for a multitude of reasons too. It happens. That's part of life. There's no need to be rude!

She never once checked on me during my 6 day stay in the hospital or gave me a referral for treating the nerve damage. Hands down the worst experience I have had with a doctor. When we came to see Dr chou, it just so happened that the day prior to the visit, it looked like he had another allergic reaction with swollen eyelid and rash all over both legs and butt. He had eaten black beans and Gerber oatmeal and Mrs dash seasoning. We told her about this reaction he had and she said it was likely just some "viral reaction". I am not sure what that even means. Well it definitely was not some BS viral reaction. He had a allergic reaction to the gerber oatmeal. You would think a trained allergist who specializes in food allergy would be able to decipher that gerber oatmeal (and most baby oatmeal) actually contains wheat. And wheat is a common allergen. My wife and I figured this out later on our own. But only after our son had a anaphylactic reaction to gerber oatmeal a few weeks later. If Dr Chou had taken more time to actually listen to us instead of dismiss us and say it was a "viral reaction". She could have and should have caught that our son had a reaction to the oatmeal with wheat ingredient. She was nice overall but who cares about nice, we needed someone to help us figure out our son's food allergy problems. She did not do that and gave us terrible advice instead that caused us much bigger problems later on.

I've been through many doctors that really only see me as a paycheck, or another number to get through. Painful injections, glossing over symptoms, ignoring concerns, blanket diagnoses - I got sick of it. When I lost insurance in my early 20's and could no longer afford it, I spent a lot of time refusing to go to doctors not just because of the cost, but because of the way I was treated. I recently started dating a nurse, and when he found out I hadn't seen a doctor in almost ten years and was exhibiting some pretty crappy symptoms of anemia and a few other things, he insisted I get it over with and book an appointment. I have good insurance now, and there really isn't any excuse. I finally bucked up and went poking around, and after a few places that told me it would be a month or more before an appointment, I found Chicagoland Complete Healthcare. I was greeted by some of the gentlest office staff who were efficient but certainly not rude whatsoever. I got my initial paperwork done and I cringed, waiting for the judgment and the comments. My anxiety was ready to be treated poorly all over again, but I received nothing of the sort. I was into the office quickly and was seen by Dr. Tyson Stock within minutes, who sat down with me and actually spent the time to understand my concerns, my history, my symptoms, and listened to my fears. We discussed what to update on my records, the tests I needed done, my worries about insurance and a host of other things. He was amazing. I had a test done I didn't want to do but knew I needed to and was shaking horribly (trust me, I felt like an idiot). He made sure to tell me exactly what he was doing, when he was doing it, and there were no surprises. He was kind, caring, and got things done the way a doctor should. I trust him implicitly with my health and while the tests scare me, the doctor's office doesn't. Recommend this place 100%. Dr. Stock is a gem and truly wants to take care of you. I've been tolerating the general incompetence of doctors in this office for ten years, but it's much more difficult to deal with blatant rudeness. As a separate issue, Dr. Patricio is awful about sending prescriptions on time. Some of my medications need to be taken daily, yet Dr. Patricio shows no sense of urgency when sending refills to the pharmacy. A couple of months ago, she was 6 days late sending a prescription to the pharmacy--that was 6 days that I didn't have important medication that I take daily. Despite calling multiple times every day, it took 6 days for her to finally send it. Her behavior is borderline malpractice.

I first contacted Dr Osipova in late 2017 to consult about recurring hernia issues. She was…read morefantastic during my consult, answering all of my questions, drawing pictures, etc. Dr Osipova suggested I also meet with her partner for a second opinion, Dr. Adajar, who has a different perspective on how to treat hernias. So I made an appointment and did as she advised. Drs Osipova and Adajar were just as fantastic during that consult. I determined I was not going to go forward with surgery right now, but would work on some lifestyle issues to see if that would help. I had blood drawn and Dr Adajar let me know numbers and his recommendations based on my numbers. And then it went downhill. I talked with Dr. Adajar's assistant Michelle, and felt like I was being sold a used car. She wouldn't let me talk, and was just throwing out price tags for consultations that needed to take place, weight loss medicine and vitamins and hormones I needed to buy, etc. When I would try to talk, she wouldn't hear me and I finally just asked her to have Dr. Adajar call me so I could understand what this Xsculpt work was that he does, and talk through what would be the best course of action for me to take next. That request to talk to him was made over a month ago, and I haven't heard from him. I even texted him on his cell, since he used that form of communication with me after my blood test results were in. I got no response. The experience started out great, but then turned into something I didn't understand. And I am left with a bill to pay for the bloodwork and no course of action to take that you usually work out with a medical professional. I wanted to let others know about my experience here so they could take it into account if they decided to visit this office.
