He gave me advice about what new computer to buy - even though he wouldn't be making a penny if I went that route! I decided to let him fix my Toshiba. The hard drive was corrupted, RAM low, Video card failing. John gave me several options depending on how much I wanted to spend. When I asked him what he would do if it was HIS computer, he was totally honest. I decided to go the step up from what he would do and I am SO impressed with my computer again. I just ran a program that normally takes 1 1/2 hr and it was done in 20 minutes! MOST IMPRESSIVE - He quoted me a price before he started the real work on replacing parts. I asked if that included labor - yes. However, because of some of the programs I had loaded, he was up again almost all night transferring from my old hard drive to the new one. He knew I needed my computer back by a certain date to complete a project for work. Because I had to wipe and reload this computer once before, I know how frustrating some of those programs can be! BUT even with the extra time he had to put in, the original price quote DID NOT CHANGE! I will recommend MTS and John to everyone I know. They also never asked me what the issue was that I was having and assumed very incorrectly about prior damage that had occurred more than a year prior. My computers worked perfectly after those spills because I was able to do a cleaning of them all those months ago. Their forced cleaning of my computers didn't resolve my issue at all because my actual issue was electrical issues we had been having in our home, and if they had asked me what problem I was having with them in the first place they would have known this and could have earned their money legitimately instead of scamming me for it. I ended up having to pay them $150 just to get my computers back with the same exact problem. The issue wasn't with them at all but was with the monitors. If they had spoken with me we could have figured this out before this unneeded cleaning service was forced upon me to pay for. I signed up for a free diagnostic and then he called to tell me I owe $69.99 per computer. What a scam! The front desk gentleman is very nice, but the actual repairman is a scammer. They also won't refund me the money! So now I have to buy new monitors which is more than $150 on top of the forced cleaning fees! Unbelievable! This is shady business and they shouldn't be allowed to keep scamming people. At first I gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought this was only a misunderstanding, I reached out very kindly to explain all of this and ask for my money back.
