It did this all night long to no avail! Being without a computer drove my wife to near insanity!! We got her an appointment at one supposed computer repair place in Florence and said it was $99 to diagnose the problem and additional $$$ to fix it and it would take 2-3 days!!! My wife blew a gasket! I suggested we go to CPR and see what they could do. CPR had fixed my Iphone sometime back, and they had repaired it in an hour for about $50 and I suggested we give them a try. We went to CPR, and discussed the problem with a really nice, polite and VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE young man named Adam and asked him if he could solve the problem and also install an additional 8 GB RAM card that we had purchased previous to this disaster. He went to great detail about ways to deal with the Windows problem and what he would have to do. He said he would also install the Ram card, and said he would try to have it done the same day! Well, at 4:00pm, he called my wife and said it was finished. He explained that the windows had been corrupted, he cleaned the mechanical hard drive, reloaded Windows, placed the boot sector on the SSD drive so it would boot faster, and installed the RAM card. Then he explained, in plain English, to my wife how to restart her computer, connect to our wi-fi and get her up and running!!! And the charge was about $90!!!! I thought my wife was going to propose to Adam on the spot! Adam couldn't have been any nicer or more competent!!! CPR has NEVER let us down and I highly recommend them for your computer or cell phone repairs!!!

I had such a great experience that I ordered some computer parts (chargers, etc) from them as well as a tablet to be repaired. Also got a great price on an iPad mini. I'm in town for work, and had an issue with my computer that I had no clue how to get past, and about 10 of my colleagues didn't either. I brought it to Quickfix because they were open the latest and had the best customer feedback based on what I could find in the area, and I'm thankful I did! These guys gave it their ALL. They were very frustrated that they couldn't seem to get to the root of the problem but they spent a great deal of time working it and finally a solution, though not perfectly PERFECT, was FOUND. They also never asked me what the issue was that I was having and assumed very incorrectly about prior damage that had occurred more than a year prior. My computers worked perfectly after those spills because I was able to do a cleaning of them all those months ago. Their forced cleaning of my computers didn't resolve my issue at all because my actual issue was electrical issues we had been having in our home, and if they had asked me what problem I was having with them in the first place they would have known this and could have earned their money legitimately instead of scamming me for it. I ended up having to pay them $150 just to get my computers back with the same exact problem. The issue wasn't with them at all but was with the monitors. If they had spoken with me we could have figured this out before this unneeded cleaning service was forced upon me to pay for. I signed up for a free diagnostic and then he called to tell me I owe $69.99 per computer. What a scam! The front desk gentleman is very nice, but the actual repairman is a scammer. They also won't refund me the money! So now I have to buy new monitors which is more than $150 on top of the forced cleaning fees! Unbelievable! This is shady business and they shouldn't be allowed to keep scamming people. At first I gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought this was only a misunderstanding, I reached out very kindly to explain all of this and ask for my money back. They only ignore me like I don't exist anymore. Of course, because he knows he scammed me!

I came in earlier today with a cracked Samsung S4 screen. I had already had the screen replaced…read moreonce before because a friend of mine cracked the phone. I had no idea that that was an issue so I didn't mention it when I dropped my phone off. Not only that, when I did drop my phone off, they didn't even ask for my name OR a number to reach me at. I found this to be REALLY sketchy. I told them my name anyway and they put a small sticker on my phone with my last name on it. They told me it'd cost $75, that was considerably cheaper than the first time I got the screen replaced so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. They told me to come back for my phone in an hour. I went shopping for an hour and half and came back. When I came back, they told me they couldn't fix the screen because it was already fixed before. Since it was apparently replaced with a screen that isn't authentic (which I was not aware of, it says "Samsung" on it....), they told me that it would cost $129 because they would need to replace the LCD screen as well. They guaranteed that they would crack the screen if they pulled the replaced screen off. I'm going to assume that replacing the LCD screen is some sort of liability... Which is funny since not getting any of my information sounds like that could have been a liability, could it not? I decided to look for more estimates because that is ridiculous. Especially since they didn't get a number to contact me on. My screen is also a lot looser than it was before I brought it in. I was considering not fixing the screen and just living with the crack but now it's mandatory that I get the screen replaced. I found another store that estimated me at the same price, if I can't find anything better (though I may be able to get it replaced for $89 at a location farther away, feel free to ask me about it), I will be taking my business there. I am visiting from Los Angeles and back home, they always ask for some contact information to let you know that they are done fixing your phone. The cell phone repair store I normally go to even checks in while he's repairing.
