So happy that Doug (one of the owners) knows what he's doing. He took care of ordering the parts, taking care of installation, and showing us how to use the app on our phones to get the most out of the system. He didn't try to upsell us on any additional products. We used VHS a 2nd time to install a smart lock on our home. Again, Doug showed us the various options available and pointed out we should choose a color that matched our existing hardware (I would not have thought of that on my own). He took care of ordering and installed for us. He ran into a few snags removing the existing lock and then getting the new deadbolt to latch. I can only imagine if my partner and I were trying to install, we would have been freaking out. Doug handled everything in stride (he's done this a few times). We thought we could download the app can get it connected to our Smart system ourselves, but again Doug was there to help us out when we got stuck. The personal attention that they give at VHS is unmatched. Communication via email with both Doug and Sean was easy and quick. They were available even after 5pm and on the weekend to work around our schedule. Of course, you could try to do everything yourself, but they take the thinking and arguing out of the equation. That's absolutely worth it to me!

Called ADT and was sent, unknowingly, to this company LVD concepts do have my system put in. I…read morethought I was dealing with ADT. I really only wanted cameras, but of course you get the whole security system. Nearing one month, The batteries on the cameras started dying , rendering the cameras useless. . Because the cameras are in a high location and I am 60 years old and have vertigo, I cannot reach and get up there on ladders and I didn't want something. You have to take down snd service. I was told no, they will charge and the battery is for backup. It should also be noted that LVD left my cameras with no face plate, no weatherproofing and a big hole where the wiring went in that was exposed to the elements and we were in monsoon season. This left me no choice then to try to weatherproof them. LVD laugh saying that if anyone touches those cameras, then I will have to pay if they have to come back out. I advised the guy before he left. I have no choice because I've got a weatherproof them. I had to call the person that wired my house for cameras to fix the fact that they were no longer weatherproof.ed. Once the cameras started dying I called ADT only to discover that this sometimes happens where they farm the work out to vendor subcontractors and this is what happened to me. My house is prewired for cameras, When the guy initially came to install the cameras he left all the cameras with exposed holes in the wall and no weatherproofing and we were in monsoon season. This is a crap company who are selling a bad bill of goods. I asked them to come get their things and they told me it would cost me an additional $1600 on top of the 1300+ that I'd already paid to have them take everything back and end the service. I think these people do this on purpose just to make the money and they could care less about the customer, product, workmanship or if the product is any good. Upsets me even more is I called ADT sent them pictures to show them how they were initially installed. ADT corporate and an ADT technician said they would never install the cameras that way, that is not how they should be installed. A supervisor with LVD concepts was supposed to call me within 48 hours however this never happened. I've been getting the runaround and my cameras are dying rendering them useless! Today I get a call from scheduling and they can't come out for a few weeks to fix the problem. Reading all the others I'm not sure the problem will be fixed. I am so upset and I can honestly say I am traumatized from this experience and what it has cost me. The fact that ADT/LVD will charge me an additional $1,600 to cancel the contract for services that are subpar and not actually rendered! I do not want anyone else to be victimized by this companies scam. I cannot honestly believe that ADT allows and backs this company and it's substandard product and installation. Also, it's not made very clear nor do you have an option as to whether or not ADT does the work or a subcontractor does the work. At no time was this explained to me nor was I given an option. I was simply told that ADT did not install directly in my area, but I found out differently after talking to a neighbor and then ADT. . ADT told me I'm under contract with LVD so there's nothing they can do. I am absolutely beside myself and appalled at the entire matter and lack of service $1,300 + 100 and $60 +a month. Then another $1,600 if I cancel the contract for services I have not gotten!

Every six months we were sent a bill to renew our service, and we never agreed to auto-renew. When my wife and I moved to Chicago, we disconnected our internet... which should have prompted Assurance Protection to make sure that our everything was OK. They never noticed. Instead, after months of them having no way of not monitoring our alarm, they not only never noticed... but insisted on charging us full price for the past few months of NO SERVICE! I wonder how long before that they stopped checking on our ability to alert them! To top it all off, Donna, their uber-rude customer service lady, refused to even consider removing their bogus service charge despite it being for service neither asked for nor provided. When I became more insistent, she hung up on me. When I called back and asked why she hung up on me, she told me that I need to "find Jesus" and hung up on me again! I'm not sure which Jesus SHE believes in, but she sure seemed the polar opposite of the one in the Bible that I grew up reading!
