I hired Indoor Science to make sure our home was in good shape to welcome in our first child…read more Having had problems with mold in the past, I was anxious about the results. Scott was patient and respectful and took time to explain his observations to me. He was reassuring and suggested that I didn't need to go the extra mile for additional testing as he was pretty confident everything was ok based on his visual and thermal inspections. I decided to pay the extra amount for peace of mind despite his sense that it wasn't necessary. This stance gained my trust, and ultimately, Scott was right- everything was fine. I don't regret the extra testing because for me, that peace of mind is priceless. It can be hard to know who to trust in the mold industry and I would recommend Indoor Science to anyone.

Asbestos Project Management (APM) recently tested for the presence of asbestos in a residential…read moreproperty of interest to me. I chose APM because it is a fully licensed, well-established family owned and operated business that has all five-star consumer ratings with Yelp and Google. Also, in researching potential companies I determined that APM's cost for their service was very reasonable. I dealt directly with the owner Brett Keller who was extremely accommodating with regard to setting up an appointment date for the test that would work for me. At the scheduled time and day (Friday) Brett met me at the property driving his work truck. It was in pristine condition and when Brett retrieved his equipment from the enclosed truck bed, I noticed that everything was clean, well-organized, and properly secured. Brett then sampled the suspect material and explained to me that the sample would be submitted to an independent lab for analysis, which was standard procedure done to ensure the integrity of the results. He said that because the lab wasn't operational over the weekend, I would not get the results of the analysis until approximately 4:00 p.m. the following Monday. Brett then unhurriedly detailed to me what the abatement process would entail should asbestos be present and I elected to have APM handle the work. The following Monday at approximately 1:00 p.m. I received from Brett an email containing a complete chain of custody document tracking the acquisition of the sample and its submission to the lab as well as the results of the analysis. Fortunately, the analysis was negative for the presence of asbestos. I was completely satisfied with APM's high-quality service and give it my strongest recommendation.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!…read more Our inspectors, Tim and Alex ,were great--on time, super thorough, and didn't mind at all when we tagged along asking a ton of questions. It was raining, so they even used a drone to check out the roof. We got a 124-page report the next day that was super detailed with clear pictures and arrows pointing right at whatever needed attention. The best part, though, was the video debrief with Charlie, the owner. He spent almost two hours walking us through everything, giving us his honest opinion on what was actually a big deal versus what was just code, plus realistic cost estimates and contractor recommendations. They went above and beyond. Seriously the best inspection experience I've had.

He even gave a good recommendation of a competitor. These people are incredible. So, from my experience, do not hesitate to use Jensen Environmental! DO NOT HIRE - Poor Workmanship, Unfinished Work, and Court Involvement…read more I hired Marcos Benitez of BB Environmental to complete basement renovation and remediation work, including mold mitigation, drywall, flooring, stairs, a vanity, and a shower panel. I paid a total of $15,192 for the work and what followed was an incredibly frustrating and expensive experience. The workmanship was unacceptable, portions of the contracted work were never completed, and the work that was performed did not meet reasonable expectations for quality or professionalism. Despite paying thousands of dollars, I was left dealing with unfinished projects, faulty work, and the expense and frustration of trying to get the situation resolved. I made multiple attempts to communicate with Marcos and get the problems addressed. Rather than taking responsibility and making things right, I was left pursuing a resolution through the court system. This situation ultimately resulted in a court judgment in my favor. The legal proceedings were especially concerning because I found significant inconsistencies between Marcos's statements under oath and the information and documentation available regarding the work and payments. I would strongly encourage anyone considering hiring him to keep detailed records of every conversation, payment, promise, and piece of work performed. My experience cost me far more than the original contract price in money, time, and stress. I trusted this contractor with my home and my money, and that trust was not honored. My advice: Do not pay upfront, document absolutely everything, and think very carefully before trusting Marcos Benitez with your home or your money. I would not hire him again or recommend his services to anyone.
