Our first time at MIDWAY OH-BOY RESTAURANT. My husband and I give this restaurant a strong 4 stars for a diner. This restaurant has been around for 70 years, it felt like walking into yesteryear. They were accommodating to our needs and that OH-BOY SAUCE was sure yummy. We will definitely be back.

Here's the ultra fantastic midway oh-boy special plate! Thee best!!! A #CLE classic. With a coffee like $12.

SUPER DINER These old school diners are a dying breed. I was sitting around westlake daydreaming about lunch and kept thinking no no closed gone no not today AHHH IVE GOT IT. drove the 15 min to Elyria for the incomparable only in America (and Frisch's) midway oh-boy burger!!! Have u had one??? Listen they are so good. A Big Mac with their special sauce. Frisch's Big Boy is just as good. I wonder who did it first. 2 all beef patties special sauce lettuce cheese I'm a slice it in half guy but don't slice this one! Just smash it. Delicious!! I think it's the mayo type sauce. Cute waitress and they have the local mama Jo's pies strawberry rhubarb & even the choc. My God it was wonderful. Coffee is great I mean really good. Fries are the best like rustic restaurant fries. Great old diner always busy. A 50's throwback. Visa ok the tab was $12 burg special plate & coffee. 5 million stars. See burg pic.

Nice hometown local restaurant. The Oh-Boy sandwich is much better than that chain place's Big Mac. Support your local businesses.

Quality has gone way down with the size of the burger as well. You get a mouthful of BUN and sauce

Best fish fry in Elyria area. Old time feeling with down home flavor. Not fancy but good food reasonably priced, nice people.

With GOUD reason too. Hazels is your classic American diner- no frills, just fresh brewed coffee, and comforting meals. I went with their "something new" skillet- a hearty combo of eggs, hash browns, corned beef hash and because i'm me I added cheese too. It was delicious in every sense. I can understand why this diner attracts the locals and visitors alike. Noa got the country skillet with eggs, hashbrowns, onion, peppers, and ham. The ham gave the salty savory kick to balance out the sweetness of the onions and peppers. Truly a treat- and again, huge portion. We also opted for a side of French toast because I feel like it's cruel to go to a classic diner and not get some form of French toast, pancakes, or waffles. They were delicious too. I loved getting to dine at Hazel's and get a glimpse into an Elyria classic. #GOUDapproved Country Skillet | $9.79 Eggs, Hashbrowns, Onions, Peppers and ham (you get the choice of Bacon, Ham or Sausage) Something New | $9.79 Eggs, Hashbrowns Topped with Corn Beef Hash side of French toast | $5.29

I love breakfast bowls and they had a few to choose from, so I selected one of those along with a blueberry pancake. I normally don't gravitate to our pancakes, but I had to try since I had a few different options. I just got one, but that was plenty with my breakfast bowl. I chose the blueberry pancake and it was one of the best I've had. The breakfast bowl came out nice and hot with great flavors and a couple eggs on top. Everything was just fantastic. The ambience is what you would expect from a local diner. I will definitely be back so give it a try if you're in town.

ATTENTION GLUTEN ALLERGIES! The stars reflect a celiac response, not the food or service. If you…read morearen't sensitive to gluten, you should definitely eat here, because the food is delicious and the service is friendly. It's a wonderful local spot. The first time we went to The Nest, it was great for me -- the server also has celiac, and clearly looked out for me -- I did not get sick. I had the Big Bacon omelet, and my husband had the Gyro -- both enormous servings and delicious. My husband and I were so excited, because we've only been able to find a handful of restaurants that actually take food allergies seriously. The second time, when I told our server I have a severe gluten allergy (because most people genuinely do not know what celiac is . . .), she nonchalantly said "ok." I ordered the Cheesy Cheese; my husband had the Breakfast Burrito. While both were delicious (my husband couldn't finish his and said it was one of the best Breakfast Burritos he's eaten!), I barely made it to the BP gas station down the road before I got sick, and I was sick for 6 days! 6 days means DIRECT contamination -- either someone put toast on my plate and then took it off, or some other form of a direct hit with wheat/rye/barley (which could be soy sauce; "food" starch," etc.) It's so frustrating. I really try to do my best and order things that should be simple -- no sauces; no dressings -- if the kitchen and server take it seriously. It isn't a dietary choice -- believe me, my life would be much easier (and much more pleasant), if I did not have this disease. Sadly, we can't go back.

Danielle liked her pickle-chicken sandwich and seemed disappointed that i don't want to go back, so i'll probably have to relent at some point and just get French Toast and go into diabetic shock. oooohh, i forgot. i also ordered a cup of the corn chowder (soup of the day). it wasn't great and corn was the least plentiful ingredient in it. i'd call it more of a potato and bacon chowder w/ corn casually tossed in.
