The beginning of September brings a trio of birthdays for myself and two friends. While celebrating another friends birthdays mid August we made plans for the September birthday dinner and someone recommended Midtown Table. I am so thankful she did (thanks Vanessa!)! I called a few days prior and made reservations for ten for the patio. I was the first to arrive just before the reservation time. I was asked to wait for my friends at the bar and when most had arrived we would be seated. I'm thankful for spending some time at the bar as our bartender was superb! He really made our birthday celebration extra special;) Once we were seated at the table we ordered a ton of appetizers and drinks. I honestly tasted more food than I can remember lol. But what I do remember is that everything was delicious! From the white bean hummus to the eight layer lasagna and potato leek soup. And I can't forget the truffle fries.....oh yes and there was dessert too. I honestly cannot think of anything negative about my experience at Midtown Table. The manager even came by our table to check on us and asked about our experience. The service was five star from the bar to the table. The food was outstanding and bonus...the prices were reasonable! read more

Here's the story, of a guy named Davey, Who was living with the very lovely Jill, They were now known, as empty nesters, So eating out, really fit the bill! Ok, so now we know why I'm never going to write sit-com theme songs. But it does give me a great segue way into our most recent outing to Midtown Table. A Medure restaurant. Now, you may know the Medure Brothers from their other restaurants in Jacksonville such as Matthew's. Or M Shack. Or, um, Medure's. But Midtown Table is the newest of the bunch. And it is focused on Italian Food. A long time ago, in a world far, far away from COVID, the lovely Jill and I attended a tasting at Matthew's Restaurant of possible Midtown Table entrees. I recall that the dishes were Italian. And tasty. But that was about it. Honestly, I had forgotten all about this restaurant until the other night when we were discussing places to go. "Where do you want to go?" "I dunno. Where do you want to go?" You know how it goes, right? Anyway, my much smarter and more decisive wife announced that we were going to try Midtown Table. So that is where we went. Because after twenty-five years of wedded bliss, when the wife announces something? Well, that's it. The deal, my friends, is done. Anyway, the restaurant, like pretty much everything else in Jacksonville, is by Town Center. Parking wasn't too bad and even though we were a little early for our reservation they took us right in. The space itself is an open concept. As in its basically a giant room with some very brightly painted walls. In the time before COVID I would have said this was a pretty neat idea. Now though? We sat inside (there is outside dining available) and I have to admit that I wasn't entirely comfortable. The bar was packed with people. As the state is now in Phase 3 of its reopening plan (for better or worse) all of the tables can be occupied. And they were. Which is a great sign for the restaurant. But if you are concerned about the virus, this is probably a place where it would be better to carry out than to eat in. Just my opinion. But the staff was extremely friendly, and our waitress was fantastic. She went out of her way to constantly check on us to make sure everything was ok. The bar is well stocked. One frustrating point? They have a great selection of booze - and no list of what they have. I understand that they are constantly changing what they have stocked in the bar. So, go electronic. Or get used to printing up a lot of paper. But I had to walk up to the bar to see their bourbon selection. Which again, is a great one with lots of options. I just wish they could list them for you. For an appetizer we split the carrot fries. Which, surprise surprise, are carrots. They are roasted or boiled, then dipped in tempura batter and fried. They come with a mascarpone ranch dipping sauce. With the dipping sauce the carrots are quite tasty. Tender and the batter is not too thick or overpowering. Without the sauce I found them a bit bland. Maybe a touch more salt? Regardless they were pretty good, and I would recommend trying them at least once. For a main course my wife ordered the Clam Toast, which is actually an appetizer. I know, she's whacky like that sometime. It was a pretty big portion of clams . . . and toast. Certainly enough for a main course for her. The clams were cooked perfectly, and overall the dish was really good. Just a touch on the spicy side, so be prepared for that. For me though, the star of the evening was my main course, the radiatori - which is a wavy pasta in a Bolognese sauce and a little fluffy pillow of whipped ricotta. Or as I would say, an angel's pillow. Of cheese. The Bolognese sauce was amazing. Tasted like it had been cooking for days! I ordered it with some blackened shrimp, but I don't think it even needed that. A fantastic dish that I would strongly recommend. For dessert we split the Midtown Table Ice Cream. It has Olive Oil, Fennel Pollen, Maldon Salt, and Honey in it. My wife loved it. I thought it wasn't bad, but not something I would regularly order to sate my sweet tooth craving. To me it just had an odd aftertaste flavor. I also ordered a decaf coffee, but the coffee machine wasn't working so they brought me a decaf Americano on the house. A nice touch and a great way to finish off the evening. So, there you have it. An excellent meal at a new restaurant. Would we go back? Certainly. Maybe not in the near future as the rate of COVID infections continues to rise, but definitely at some point. Perhaps for brunch? Another magically day at Midtown. Chef Gio outdid himself again with the osso bucco pizza. The drinks were super tasty and it's always wonderful to enjoy the patio where the temperature is much more enjoyable I think than the freezing air conditioner inside. The charcuterie board was pretty good but nothing super special. Only saying this because I've seen better in the Jacksonville area with the board filled out some more. However for $18 I think its not terrible. Cocktails were delicious and I would say this place is a 5/5 in the drinks department. White pizza was also super yummy! Highly recommend. Plenty of parking right in front. Good casual ambience with outdoor seating available read more

Really good food in a casual but sophisticated atmosphere with warm but professional service.

The Midtown Table had great service, and the food was very nice. The only thing I would complain about was that my wife's pasta was slightly undercooked. The house bread comes with an entire roasted head of garlic and a tapenade, we cleared that plate even while trying to leave room for dinner. My wife would also like for me to mention that there are a lot of meat-optional dishes, so it's very pescetar read more

I've been staying with my mom during this whole Covid 19 thing, and we tend to always choose restaurants in the towncenter, so we decided to go try somewhere else instead. Midtown Table has a very ambiance. Cute place, modern decor, reminded me of being in Miami. Our server was friendly and made great suggestions. Everything was really good, I liked the menu options and everything (other than my pasta) was very good. I'm picky with my bolognese sauce so my Radiatori wasn't my fav, but nonetheless I would definitely come back. I would like to try one of their pizzas because those look yummy. Also, the lasagna is delicious. (I forgot to take a picture.) Definitely recommend if you're in the area. read more

I can't believe it's taken me this long to try this place! Now I feel like kicking myself for missing out on another local gem way longer than I should have. My friend and I went for Happy Hour and an early dinner. I decided to make a reservation even though it was a Thursday at 5:00 PM because I wasn't sure how busy it would be. When we got there it wasn't too busy, but within 30-40 minutes the dinner rush really started picking up so I'm glad I made the reservation. The ambiance and vibe was very nice. We sat inside because it was so hot out but next time I hope to sit outside as it looks like the perfect patio dining atmosphere. We started with the house bread served with butter and roasted garlic and the white bean hummus. The hummus was on HH special and we chose to add vegetables for dipping on top of the bread. The bread was so fresh and yummy! I love that they serve it with roasted garlic, such a unique feature that adds a whole new level of flavor! The hummus was good but I don't think it's worth the $13 when you add the vegetables with it, and wouldn't get it again. For dinner I ordered the Radiatori, SO GOOD! I swear the shape of the pasta makes it taste better! This is the perfect pasta/sauce combo and the whipped ricotta takes it up 10 notches! I very rarely order red sauce dishes and I loved this dish. My friend ordered the Bucatini Carbonara and this was completely different from the Radiatori but just as good in it's own way. The egg yolk make all the difference and makes the sauce so creamy and delicious when broken over the pasta. It's definitely worth mentioning their pastas are all made in-house, and you can absolutely tell! These people really know what they're doing when it comes to food! The portions, flavors, everything! You won't be disappointed and I highly recommend you not wait as long as I did to try it. I can't wait to return and try something new on the menu! read more

FINALLY had the chance to try this restaurant! It was an amazing place to relax whether it's indoor seeing the chefs make your food with fresh ingredients or enjoying the outdoors at their patio! ⁣ When you walk in, you will see the inside as very inviting with the abstract painting on the wall and TVs around the bar area. The food I ordered was the Gorgonzola Gnocchi w/ Blackened Shrimp. The sauce with the gnocchi was SO creamy. I just cannot stop eating. My tastebuds were singing and my stomach was happy. The ingredients worked perfectly together and nothing was unbalanced. Very pleased with the staff and food together. ⁣ Their menus and times are selective depending you're going for brunch, lunch or dinner! ⁣What you may see during the lunch menu may not appear in the dinner menu and vice versa. Don't forget to reserve your table so you can order your delicious food! Thank you Midtown Table! read more

We've been here twice for brunch. This time better than the last. I enjoyed The Seasonal Burrata and Vegetable Panini ( fried eggplant!!!). The Brussels Sprouts were some of the best I've had. Loaded with flavor! Last visit the egg white pizza was bland but this time the breakfast pizza was much better. The kids Mac & cheese was a home run for both adults and kids. The kids cheese pizza was good and definitely shareable size. read more

Came in for an early dinner around 5:00PM on Valentine's Day and was able to be seated immediately. They have a large in door dining room but also a great patio outside with putt-putt and corn hole. My wife was on her way from work so I decided to get a drink while I waited. Luckily for me they were on happy hour which they do 4-6 daily. I started with an Old Fashioned and for $5 you can't beat it. Once we arrived we quickly got the show on the road. For an appetizer we ordered one of their fresh made Neapolitan Pizza's since that's my favorite type of pizza. We went with the basic Margarita Pizza and it was amazing. The perfect amount of char with fresh ingredients you can't beat it. We then ordered our entrees and both had to go for a different fresh made pasta dishes. I went with the Gnocchi and her the Mushroom Duxelle Agnolotti. The Gnocchi was amazing. Finally found a pick in Jacksonville that does a cheese based sauce with their Gnocchi (I don't count Alfredo). The Gnocchi is served in a Gorgonzola sauce with Fennel, Spinach, and Herbs. The sauce was very rich and full of flavor and the Gnocchi soft and fluffy. So delicious! For desert we went with the Bread Pudding which I'm normally not a fan of but this one was great and the house made ice cream that comes with it is to die for. Midtown Table is quickly making it's moves to being one of the top restaurants in Jacksonville in my opinion. Everything all around was great. I also have to mention that the staff was amazing as well our waitress was one of the most attentive I have had in a long time. The manager even brought us free chocolate cover strawberries. We will for sure be back and once the weather warms up you can find me on the back patio during happy hour! read more

It is my first time at Midtown Table and love the ambience of the restaurant. They have a huge outdoor dining area. We ordered a few appetizers to share and they were all wonderful. We got the white bean hummus, clams on toast, and house bread. I love how the bread is served with grilled garlic head that is packed with flavor as it spread it on the bread. The hummus is really delicious when I'm usually not a huge fan of the dish. Clams were huge and super sweet. Then, we ordered gnocchi and carbonara which the pasta dishes were very disappointing. The appetizers were so amazing that I had high expectations for the mains. However, the carbonara tasted very bland like just noodles in pasta water. The gnocchi also needs more flavor and a bit overcooked. read more

We were looking for a lunch spot and found Midtown Table. This open kitchen, made from scratch restaurant was delish. My husband and I ordered the French dip, bolognese, and a side of fries. The parm fries and aioli were so good. The French dip was flavorful and there was a ton of prime rib. I did think there was slightly too much horseradish for my taste though. Bolognese came with a ton of meat and the pasta was cooked Al dente. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. The only thing was it took a minute to get everything on the table. Otherwise, we were seated quickly on a Saturday afternoon, service was good, and food was great. read more

This place was a nice find. Our server Morrigan was great she gave lots of recommendations and was super friendly. The food was pretty good flavors were spot on and it's a decent amount of food, I have been to places that give you more for your buck but it was not too bad. We sat outside which was a cute patio however, it did not bother us too much just beware that is where majority of the kids go to play so it can get noisy. But if it's doesn't bother you ,you will really enjoy it. read more

I'm not sure when the restaurant was establish but I'm sure they're fairly new. According to their menu, they make their own bread and pasta. That's fresh. Order: pork belly banh mi. I'm Vietnamese so I was intrigued when I saw they had banh mi on their menu. Banh mi is a traditional Vietnamese sub made up of thinly sliced pork belly, pâté, pickled carrots and horse radish, cucumbers, cilantro, and jalapeños served in between a toasted baguette. It was a must try to see how close they hit home. From a 1-10, I give them a 7.5 for taste and having more differences than similarities. Similarities: baguette, pork belly, pickled carrots. Differences: pickles, red bell peppers, onions, and honey mustard?. The pickling was different, a little too vinegary/tart. Too much fat on the pork belly. But overall, it was enjoyable and tasty. It was a banh mi with a twist; a modernized twist. read more

Party of 7 - walk-ins. The hostess was less than friendly upon entering which was probably the only negative of our experience. We were told we could sit outside, but declined due to the heat and was advised we'd be waiting at least 45 minutes for an inside seat. We agreed and felt it was reasonable being a larger party with no reservation. We were seated 15 minutes later. We ordered the truffle fries for the app and they were delicious. Seasoned well and the garlic aioli was the perfect balance of flavor. We ordered the club sandwich, which was very, very good. The meat, bread, veggies were all fresh and delicious. The fettuccine with salmon was divine. Their homemade pasta was incredible. The French dip was enjoyed by my husband, he was pleased with it, but said he would've liked just a tad bit more horse radish sauce. The pastrami sandwich was also very good, but a little dry. It could've used a little something in the way of a condiment, but overall was pretty good. My niece enjoyed the Caesar salad and commented on the dressing being tasty. I loved the lemon vinaigrette that came with the house salad, it was really refreshing and pairs well with the greens and cucumber slices. I will definitely come back here and hopefully take some pictures before we demolish the food. read more

Business dinner for 2. - Ambiance (4/5) Nice patio setup. Tons of outdoor tables with ceiling fans, so it was well ventilated despite the humidity. Covered, so no issues with rain. - Service (4/5) Speedy and courteous. - Sausage and White Bean Soup, $8 (5/5) Really flavorful, great consistency. - Radiatori w/ Salmon, $25 (3/5) Homemade radiatori that didn't quite look like radiatori. Still had nice ridges to it though. However, it seemed like the pasta was a bit dry, almost like it had been sitting for awhile before the food came out. A splash of pasta water might have changed things. The extra piece of salmon I ordered was cooked perfectly and super flavorful. I almost wished I had just gotten the salmon. I asked for a piece of bread since the waitress mentioned that all the bread is made in-house daily. The focaccia that came was dry and dare I say... a bit stale tasting? - Value (3/5) Pasta value was fine, but I thought for $8, the soup portion could have been a bit bigger. - Final Word Good flavor, but the pasta and the bread, which were supposed to be the stars of the show, really weren't that good. I would come back for the salmon though. read more

Another phenomenal offering from the Medure group! Casual laid back atmosphere, bright colors, and clean contemporary design meet you in the dining room. The food is absolutely up to the Medure standard that you've come to expect from this group. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Stopped in for a quick lunch and immediately fell in love with the place. The lunch menu is pretty simple consisting of a few starters, salads, two pasta offerings, made to order pizza, and sandwiches. The pasta is made fresh in house, the pizzas are prepared by hand as they are ordered and cooked in their beautiful stone oven. They have a great selection of cocktails, beer, wine, and the typical non-alcoholic options to wash it all down. The food came out quickly, well presented, but most importantly packed with flavor! They recently opened, but it's very obvious they are apart of a well versed and well tuned group, as such they are providing top notch service at an incredible reasonable price in a LOD back atmosphere. This place is here to stay and I can't wait to explore the rest of the menu. read more

Midtown Table seated us on a Saturday evening without a reservation. Our server didn't rush us but was there within seconds of a 'look around'. He knew the menu, the drink menu and the wine list. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was superb. I was ready to order as soon as I saw the wood fired pizza oven. The pizza was a flashback to my time in Naples. It was authentic- it was delicious. My companion opted for a pasta dish with fettuccine, pecorino & a spicy oil. I was treated to a forkful- so good. The check was very digestible as well. Midtown table is a gem. read more

This is a really nice restaurant with outdoor seating and lots of room indoors as well. Definitely not sitting on top of other patrons which is a plus for me. The service was impeccable and our server Olivia was so very sweet, attentive and very professional, thoroughly enjoyed her. We started with white wine which was very good and they have great options for both red and white. I ordered the pastrami on sourdough which was awful. Two little thin sliced pieces of pastrami (could not even taste), thin layer of cheese, layer of French fries(???), topped with slaw. I was so disappointed, no flavor at all. My friend order the veggie panini which was very good I did tell the waitress it was the worst pastrami sandwich ever and she offered to bring me something else . I declined however they didn't charge me for the sandwich. My friend ordered vanilla ice cream with honey, olive oil, sea salt and Italian herb which was absolutely delicious and the flavors created such a delightful taste that was unexpected. Yummy Note, the Brand Ambassador came over to check on us and was genuinely sorry for the sandwich snafu. As I stated service was impeccable and all of the staff were very friendly. I will return again to try something different-got to give this place a 2nd chance for sure. read more

First time here, we were really hopeful this place. Service was great, ordered a few drinks. My wife ordered the The lovely bunch of coconuts, unfortunately it tasted like grapefruit juice. I ended up finishing it for her. We ordered two piAS, one white and some sort of meats pizza. My wife remarked the pizza looked like one of this chef boy R Dee pizza kits. Not really a great choice. I mean, I never have anything bad to say. It's genuinely one of my favorite places to eat in Jacksonville. I am obsessed with it. The food is pretty much always hand made and it shows. Let me begin with that the food here is fantastic! This was my second or third time going to midtown and it was quite the rollercoaster of an experience. Upon arriving we weren't really greeted by the hostess but had to get her attention. And I don't think she communicated to the other hostess that we had checked in for our reservation. Eventually we got sat outside which it was the perfect day for. Let me mention our reservation was for 7:45 and they closed at 9:00pm. Our server was great, we enjoyed a nice bottle of wine between the four of us, and some appetizers. The beef carpaccio was amazing, and the burrata was solid. Upon receiving our dinner, my friends meal was put in wrong and the manager Chris came out and apologized and the food came out very quick! I enjoyed the pizza although my husband thought the crust was a little too soggy. The gnocchi was always fantastic. My friends husband had the hanger steak and usually he loves it but it had an odd flavor this time. Almost too salty and garlicy with sort of a fishy taste. That was a little odd. Lastly, the bread pudding and Nutella pizza were great to end with! However, the end of the night was super frustrating. We have all worked in restaurants and were aware they were closing and so we wanted to leave. Our waitress never came back to give us our check and after waiting around 10 minutes I finally went inside to see the entire restaurant closed up and had to get cashed out by the bartender. I felt bad to be "that person" but I guess they forgot about us on the corner of the patio... Long story short this experience was subpar. I will be back to give the service another try since the food for the most part was amazing!! read more

We stopped In for lunch. We got Caesar salad, Sicilian pizza and the pastrami sandwich. The Sicilian pizza has a sweet sauce which I really liked. I loved the Caesar salad it was so good. I didn't care for the pastrami sandwich it had coleslaw on it which I would normally love but it was very sweet which I did not expect nor did I like at all. I would have loved it with no coleslaw or a not sweet one it tasted like a Big Mac secret sauce very strange. I like a savory style coleslaw or just fry it on the side anyway I scraped it off and it was fine. I can't wait to go back and try something else. The place is cute! The service was great. Came here yesterday and loved everything! Our server was SO wonderful from start to finish! I wish I remembered her name! She had such great recommendations and really listened to what we were all going for. Also told us how each dish we asked about is typically received with other guests. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures but maybe that's a testament to how much we enjoyed everything! I got the "all the single ladies" drink. It caught my eye immediately! She said she loves it but it's been hit or miss for people. I took a chance and ordered it - SO glad I did. It was delicious, refreshing and not too sweet. If I had to come back to get only one thing, it would be this drink! For the table, we got the burrata, bread basket, white pizza. Loved it all! The white pizza was a bit on the salty side. My 2 kids got the Mac and cheese and the chicken tenders. They devoured it all. Their Mac and cheese kind of tasted like velveeta.. but it's all good, they enjoyed it! The tendered were good and super fresh I got the agnolotti which was DELISH! My husband got the Gorgonzola gnocchi with chicken and was also delicious! So creamy and balanced. I'd def recommend adding the chicken to that one. Wish we got a dessert. Hopefully we'll be back while we're in town! read more

Food: 3 stars. Pasta dishes were all oversalted, minimal flavor. The pasta was cooked perfectly but the sauces really ruined it and made this meal a disappointment. The burrata appetizer was great however and the focaccia bread was good. Service: 5 stars. Good people, good service. Ambiance: 5 stars, restaurant was nicer than the website made me expect and it had a good vibe, very cold though. Overall 4 stars thanks to great service and ambiance, but the main entree pasta dishes need some love. A little sugar or acidity or even additional pasta water would have saved these dishes from their salty demise. read more

TLDR; friendly staff, but weird ambiance - not good for a date. Incredibly overpriced for very average food. Came here with my husband for a date night around 8pm. The lighting was really intense & bright - not at all a chill vibe. It was decently busy, but plenty of open tables and seating. You do not need a reservation. We sat at the bar & ordered two drinks, meatballs, and pasta. Everything came out super quickly. The meatballs were good & the drink menu looked awesome. They had a great list of cocktails & a robust beer menu. I liked my drink until I found a hair in it. That was a huge bummer & super gross. The food was okay - nothing was super flavorful or rich in complex textures. The gnocchi was definitely better than the linguine, but still just pretty plain. After the lack luster meal, we decided against dessert. The outdoor area is really nice with string lights, fire pits, and giant connect four. Great for entertaining kids. I would recommend this place for drinks & the outdoor vibes had I not found a hair in my drink. read more
