Looks dreary, large space with an inactive billiards table and a bar area, don't know if this place is popular in the evening. TV is on some nondescript program. I order a fish sandwich and a bottle of Diet Coke. I sit in a booth, the seat cushions with depressions from presumably decades of tushys sitting. This place needs to invest in modern upgrades to the interior The sandwich was excellent. Icy breaded and cooked (likely frozen mass produced but still good, with shredded lettuce and a bit of tomato on an excellent soft Italian bread roll, plus the right amount of tangy tartar sauce (also mass produced). Stopped here for lunch while we were waiting on tire service and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious our pizza was for a completely random stop. The menu had a wide variety of Italian offering like pizza, calzone , parmesan and assorted pasta dishes . We went with a NY size "20 large pie with bacon and pepperoni . The service was very friendly and our pizza was cooked to perfection. The crust was crisp and airy with generous portions of toppings on a bed of delicious cheese and sauce. I absolutely loved their Jumbo Shrimp Platter. I was in town and decided to go in. I sat in.. and ordered my shrimp platter, and a bottled water. The man who waited on me, seemed nice. My food came out, it was nice and hot. I went to bite into the shrimp, immediately noticed it was very buffet from before. Very mushy and an odd after taste. I did bit into a few more, figuring maybe it was just that shrimp. No, all (4) that I tried, the other two shrimp, I didn't even see. Fries were good, but their ketchup, is really odd. Has a bad taste. I went to pay my bill, as no one checked on me, and he asked if I wanted a to go box, of course I refused. When he asked if something was wrong, I did tell him. He said, oh, ok. The meat lover pie wasn't bad by any means. This pie was of the thin crust variety that you'd get from a frozen pizza. The primavera pizza wasn't bad either but the crust was just a bit too thin and didn't really pack that "fresh" made punch that other pizza shops in town deliver. 30$ for these two pizzas and fries. Ordered Chicken wings and I am going to blame them on me. I clicked on "extra crispy" and they came pretty much too fried to eat. again - I blame ME..So heads up - extra crispy means just that! I also would order extra sauce on the wings as well - next time So what I really really liked was the Hot Meatball Parm sub. We were waited on by Sherry who happened to be the only server/bartender on the floor - the bar was packed and two booths were full. I ordered online for delivery only to get a message after I finished paying with pick up instructions. I had even added and paid a tip for the driver. I called them and was told they don't deliver to my address. They have delivered to me several times and as recently as 2 weeks ago! Since I had already paid I went out to pick it up. I'm glad I did. I'm very picky when it comes to pizza but my mother insisted on this place. They have a full menu with a lot more than pizza. We ordered a whole pie with pepperoni. I was surprised I didn't even have to tell them to brown the bottom a little. The pizza was perfect- just enough cheese and sauce. The crust gave off a little crunch just the way I like it. This location has indoor and outdoor dining plus beer and wine on-site. I noticed they have weekday and weekend specials too! The staff is friendly and the food was ready in a timely fashion. As amazing as their food can be, they frequently mess up our orders. Recently We had family members over and we bragged and bragged about how great midtown pizza is so naturally they wanted to order from them. An hour plus later the delivery driver did not provide the entire order. Nor did they provide an accurate order on the items that were delivered. It's been very frustrating. Especially since we live here and we really like their food but only when they get the order right which is 50% of the time. If they'd up their quality control game they could be 5 stars. Ordered take out a couple days ago from them. The Buff chick pizza was ok. I think there were a few pieces of chicken somewhere in there. Also ordered the calamari. In a word: awful. 11 little rings that tasted and looked like they were fried last week and were the leftovers from a regular order. We've noticed the quality of most take out during the virus is less than mediocre, maybe because they know the paying customer is grabbing the order and leaving. My wife and I stayed at the comfort inn and called for dinner. We had a sandwich and lasagna. I mean this was not like being in Italy but the food was decent and the service was excellent. I will say that it was convenient to deliver the food to the hotel after a long day of travel. we will use this restaurant again when we are in Middletown. read more

Hands down best cold cut or hot subs ive EVER had. Bread was nice and crisp but still really soft. I came another time with my wife to dine in and the food was absolutely amazing. Ordered the loaded fries and was amazing at how good they were. I then ordered the gnoochi bolognese with side of meatballs and i cannot stress enough how flavorful and filling this food was. Ive eaten at some really good places and this place has the 2nd best gnoochi compared to the gordon ramsey steakhouse in baltimore. AVOID AT ALL COSTS I cannot actually give Midtown Pizza a star. The Yelp app forced me to rate it in order to post this warning to all mankind. Rewarding this place with a star would imply that there was some redeeming quality, there was none. The tap beer tasted as if the tap system had never been cleaned, ever. Needless to say there are a few organisms growing in there. I ordered the wings and loaded fries. Now, I realize that it's just "bar food", however that doesn't mean that a restaurant shouldn't put in an effort. The wings were undercooked, the sauce (jalapeño-ranch) were completely VOID OF ANY FLAVOR. Let me make sure that sinks in...spicy Jalapeño and creamy ranch, two very zesty and robust flavors, should have made for a very tasty sauce. However this was not the case. The sauce did not stick to the wing, instead it was very runny, as if cut with water, a dubious cost-saving tactic that renders the customer sick and disappointed. If you like under cooked, unflavored wings and cherish the feeling of disappointment, you'll love these wings. I hedged my bets and also ordered the "loaded fries", the name is just a flat out lie. There is nothing "loaded" about them. It was maybe 12 small fries with a drizzle of cheese sauce, "mozzarella" sprinkle cheese, and about 5 bacon bits. That's not an estimate my friends, I counted the bacon bits...there was only 5. Both of these bets, proved to bankrupt my tastebuds. The staff, while not rude, did not bother to ask me how the food was, as if they knew it was awful. Essentially, they left you to your own devices, to navigate the disappointment on your own and discover the depravity of truly awful food. Ultimately, Midtown Pizza just left me sad, wondering why John Taffer, from Bar Rescue, doesn't fly in, scolded everyone, and just "SHUT IT DOWN!" Even the mighty bar hero cannot save this place. Starvation not only tastes better, but is more compelling than the bacteria-tasting beer, terrible wings, and the sparse "loaded" fries. There is a calming reassurance in knowing where the rock-bottom of the food-service industry is, it is Midtown Pizza. read more

I like the people working here, but had a bad experience tonight. An order for delivery was to arrive 30 -45 min. 60+ minutes later they showered up (they are almost 1 mile away). The "30-45 min" is a no commit estimate. My boli showed up tepid, not even warm. The "crust" was slightly browned, but very chewy. I hope I'm able to reheat it in an air fryer and get some crispiness. If not, I'll have to just eat the filling separately. I also ordered an Italian hoagie with a few add ons. From the outside this restaurant looks tiny but you'll be suprised by the size of this place. There's a nice little bar, and the lighting is relaxed. The interior decor is pretty fancy. (Well looking at their sign and comparing it too the interior). This place definitely got me off guard. They have more than just pizza. My roommate and I ordered their calamari, which was excellent. And we got their Hawaiian style pizza which was delicious. The pizza is more like the authentic style crust, and did I mention they handmake the dough? It's good stuff. Ordered large pizza ( the works) from their menu when I recieved the pizza it was completely wrong ok it happens I get it , however when I called the OWNER said I was wrong even though the reciept and their own menu agree with me. About average. Nothing special. The usual Central Pa pizza and sub fare. And they, like so many others out here, use pizza dough for their hoagies and cheese steaks. As a Philly boy, Let me say one thing about cheesesteaks: if you're going to call yours a "Philly" cheesesteak, you need to get the roll (noted before) and cheese right. The proper cheese for a Philly cheesesteak is either whiz or provie. Not American. Blech. And the sauce was a bit too sweet, but that's the least offense committed here against cheesesteakdom. read more

Contacted the owner Waited forever to get reply's, go to the store to get refund( didn't get it because the owner is not there). Ask him to deliver that order, it takes him forever to do it. I am a regular customer of midtown pizza... Today I decided to get takeout and bring it home to watch the Super Bowl... My Super Bowl dinner was penalized due to my take out being substandard! Long story short I got the chicken Marsala dinner for my wife ... As I have done before ... And there was no pasta with the dinner... I called to ask if it came with pasta and the person said no... So I told him we got the se dinner in the dining room less then a month ago and his reply was sometimes they give pasta to dine in guests but not all the time!!! Are u kidding me... I came in to get something quick, maybe a slice of Pizza. There was only seating at the bar. I had to sit next to an alcoholic who stunk up the place with his beer breath, constantly moving about the bar, in and out on the cell, rough-housing with a friend, trash talking women, etc etc. The cook emptied a 5 gallon bucket of waste water out the front door. It took 10 minutes for the food to come (I only ordered loaded fries and a coke). The fries were very very dry, cheese was gross, and there may have been a tiny flake or two of bacon. I went here one Sunday for their $0.40 cent wings and had a horrible experience. The wings were way over cooked and hardly had any sauce on them. A table of white males who came after my boyfriend and me were served before we were. The waitress only had 2-3 tables to wait on but still didn't keep my drink full. Oh man this place. First of all it was HOT! Trying to eat already hot food in what felt like an 80° restaurant was miserable. I picked this place because they had tablets and my son had had a really good day and asked if we could go and I agreed just to get there and discover they took the tablets because they wanted to be more "classy". It's a pizza shop in one of the smallest towns in America. I don't think you need to worry about being classy. With my fries I had asked for a side of ranch just to get a salad packet of ranch that was sour. I gave it 2 stars because the pizza was good but that's really all I can say. read more

I am not sure why this place has 3 stars. I got 2 slices to try out after getting groceries nearby. One for my mom and one for me. Well, the slices were HUGE! When I got home, mom and I split one first. The pizza was taste-less, oily, and had too much cheese. The crust was too chewy. There are alcoholic beverages lined up all over the restaurant - it's a sports bar too - I guess people don't notice the taste of what they are eating since the alcohol and beer must drown it out. I actually regretted buying the second slice. I am so glad I didn't order a pie and didn't spend more than $5 here. Will never go back! read more
