    Dog park.

It's a gorgeous park! I love the scenery and each time I've gone there's been security so I feel safe. It's dog friendly and has a nice sized dog park sectioned off. Sadly there's never been any dogs when we go. I gave it 3 stars because the last time I was there I was trapped in their parking garage. The machine to pay to let me out wouldn't take my ticket stub. When I pressed the button to speak to someone she told me to go downstairs and use that machine but it wasn't working either. I ended up just paying the No Ticket cost just so that I could get out of there. I ended up paying $8 when it should've only been $1.

Really nice park! Not a huge park but plenty of room for the kids and pups to run around. We had a little picnic on top of the hill with an amazing view of the park. Beautiful artwork displayed and a restful place to hangout on a beautiful day! Big win for me was parking. The parking garage is right below and only cost us $5. There is also street parking surround the park if you are lucky to grab a spot!

New public park in midtown. It's a nice greens-cape from all the new apartment buildings. There's not much traffic yet, since it's new. We've been coming by to eat lunch and play cricket. I also see schools busing little kids here during lunch/recess. It's a small park, but it has a small playground with swings and what not, couple sloped lawns for picnic, and a mini dog park of the other side. Unfortunately there are always kids on the swings, so I haven't had a chance to play it yet... =/ There is a stage area, I'm waiting for concerts and what not to happen. Exciting! TL;DR, new park in midtown if you need to look at something green. ps: It has an underground parking garage

The walk up. It also has a parking garage.

Peaceful area with a small dog park. I walked here while waiting on service to finish from the Cadillac dealership a couple blocks away.

relaxing park in the middle of a busy part of midtown. I've felt safe every time I've been , they have swings and a nice hilly area to relax. I come here during my lunch break

I first noticed this park as it was still being built. They have parking available underground which is convenient if you don't want to drive around looking for street parking. It's $1 an hour but after 6PM it is a flat rate of $5. On weekends, it is a flat rate of $5. Once you park, you have the option of taking the stairs or an elevator to get back up to street level. As you walk out of the parking facility building, aka the cube, you see a wide green lawn ahead of you and to the left, is their pavilion which houses a stage for future events. In front of it is their water feature (which wasn't running the time we were there). To the right of the cube, is the bathroom facilities. The bathroom building is all concrete. Inside, the sinks, hand dryers and toilets are are stainless steel - very utilitarian-looking. The stainless steel toilets have neither toilet seats nor lids. It also sits lower to the ground. There is a metal baby changing table that comes out from the far end wall in the women's restroom. As you walk out further, to the side of the open lawn space is a play area for children. It is gated at multiple points. There is a big climbing dome, a huge rock sculpture that children can climb up on and wooden benches that seamlessly blend in with the winding concrete that borders the landscaping. Nearby is an area designated for strollers. In another section, within the same gated area, there are three stone spheres sitting on the ground along with a plastic table and some other play structures I couldn't determine the use of. This area was filled with gravel and had a canopy offering shade underneath. It's all within a circled area and there is stone seating along the half circle border of this section. Right outside the gate is a water fountain. It's the newer kind where you can drink from it and also fill a bottle with. There is a garden path along the walkway with signs that tell you of the different plants. As you walk along the path, you come to a waterway. It's made to look similar to a wetland stream except on a smaller scale. To the side of that is another play area containing two belt swings on mulch-filled ground. There's also another big rock sculpture but I don't think you can climb that one. Further out is a sloping lawn and it ends in a walkway that is bordered by two stone walls, one of which juts out like steps for seating. Nothing much on this side of the park except a lot of space for seating. I saw a lot of dogs out with their owners and there is apparently a dog park on the other side behind the pavilion/stage but we didn't venture out that way. We mainly stuck to the play areas since that's all my son was interested in. It's a nice, quiet, urban park situated right in midtown and across from an apartment complex. I'm sure those folks will enjoy having a convenient park right across the street - especially those with dogs. It's still fairly new and I don't think many people know about it yet because it was pretty empty when we were there. No other kids at all. It's not what my son is used to for a park though. I think this is more for festivals and concerts, community events, that kind of thing. There isn't much for little children. I wouldn't come out here just for the playground because it's very small compared to other parks although it's great that they gated the play area. I think this park is more for adults to enjoy - the green space, picnics on the lawn, music festivals, etc...

Small Dog Owners!!! I have a 4lbs Yorkie and he is able to escape the fence very easily!! I just had to keep a very close eye on him while there. I did bring my other two dogs here, one is 12lbs and the other 24lbs and they where just fine. All three had lots of fun chasing each other up and down the hill. There is even a water fountain for the dogs inside the fence!!

Great spot to park if you are going to a concert at Warehouse Live Midtown. Very close to the venue, lighted and safe!

The Michael Jackson playlist serenading us from the Gaspacho's eatery was nostalgic. Even though the Sunset Bingo MC was difficult to hear while seated on the grass, the staff were more than willing to rearrange some tables to accommodate the growing crowd. On my way to the (super clean!) restroom I I saw that they had a reading room, which made me instantly fall in love! They also have an arts & craft station with materials free to use. There were many families with young kids enjoying the water playground areas. The fact that they have family reservations available lets me know that this park is well aware of its draw and appeal. Birthdays? reunions? book a spot! The nearby restaurants and easy parking are major pluses. Levy Park has a packed calendar of events so I'm bound to be back before the summer ends.

I've spent countless hours here running and riding my bike. Some days it's a quick evening jog, other days it's a long ride from Eleanor Tinsley Park toward Memorial Park or connecting through the trails to the University of Houston. No matter how many times I come back, it never gets old. The park has been the backdrop for so many of my favorite Houston memories. I came here for Free Press Summer Fest back in the day, Freedom Over Texas fireworks, the Art Car Parade, Pride celebrations, marathons, half marathons, 5Ks, and even the Texas Independence Relay. It's one of those places that feels completely different depending on the day. Sometimes it's quiet and peaceful, and other times it's filled with thousands of people celebrating everything that makes Houston unique. It also reminds me of some of the city's hardest moments. I'll never forget walking down after Hurricane Harvey and seeing the bayou swollen all the way up to Allen Parkway. It was hard to comprehend just how much water had moved through here. Seeing the park recover over time has been a reminder of Houston's resilience. One of my favorite discoveries has been the Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern. It's such a unique experience and a reminder that there's always something new to explore, even after years of visiting the park. What I love most is how connected everything feels. The trails weave through the city with incredible downtown views, public art, green spaces, bridges, and plenty of places to stop and take it all in. Whether you're training for a race, out for a casual walk, riding your bike, or just enjoying the skyline, there's a reason people keep coming back. Buffalo Bayou Park isn't just another park to me. It's where I've made memories, challenged myself, celebrated with the city, and found a place to unwind. Every visit reminds me why I love living in Houston. I already can't wait for my next run, and I hope to see you out there.

It's so clean and I absolutely love all the wild flowers this time of year. This is one of the best place to bike in the inner loop with the separated biking and pedestrian trails. Connects to the heights and all major neighborhoods. A lovely place to get a walk or bike ride in on the evenings or weekends! There are quite a few manicured grass spots for picnics or to bring a book, as well as shaded areas. I have always felt very safe at this park. A 'not so hidden' gem as parking can be a little tough, but leads to not very busy trails. I never realized how beautiful this park is compared to the days I would only drive by!

Coming in at a hefty 65-70lbs of questionable coordination, expert intellect, and pure speed, it's been a challenge mentally and physically exhausting my active Border Collie mix. Unfortunately even after his very active dog dad's runs combined with a generous backyard and playdates with his fur friend, he's got more remaining energy in one paw than I have in an entire month. This park is fabulous regardless of if your fur baby is this active, or prefers to relax on a bench undisturbed (although a division for the two play styles is the only thing I'd suggest adding). As others have mentioned, the dog beach, shaded benches, dog runs, trail, doggy showers, and overall cleanliness of the park are impressive. Additionally most dog parents are as trained as their pups, remaining attentive, and polite. Just be sure to watch the water if your pup is overconfident in their swimming abilities.
