The late night sugar craving hit, so I was super excited that Midnight Cookie was open and conveniently located not far from where I was staying! Unfortunately I was underwhelmed by the cookies themselves- we got snickerdoodle, birthday cake, and a salted toffee one (I can't remember that name). My favorite of the three was snickerdoodle by far, but the cinnamon was a bit lacking. The salted toffee only tasted sweet, nothing too discernible. This place is on the bottom floor/parking garage level of a mall (for those wandering around downtown near midnight trying to find their cookies). The place was mobbed - lots of grubhub/ubereats/etc drivers there to pick up orders, other people wanting to order, and just one frazzled employee digging around to find more chocolate chip cookies. So order ahead and be patient. It is 100% worth it. Because I ended up with 24 freakin' cookies, I tried to kindly offer some to the guy in the elevator while I went back to my hotel room. He thought I was hitting on him and clarified that he was married. So I had him take some cookies for both him and his wife. Today's chef's special cookie is strawberry sugar cookie! It is a chewy cookie and it does taste really good! It's not too crazily sweet and it does taste like make with good whole milk and butter. But I could barely taste the strawberry so that's why it's four stars. read more

We had an atypical but very enjoyable visit. The place had closed early because this was the night before Thanksgiving. Coffee was shmack, barista was a queen, cookies and vegan cookies were amazing- I really don't know what else you could ask for from a cookie and cafe place. It's on the ground/ basement floor in a weird foyer, and there were a bunch of furries chilling out in fox costumes and stuff. We were here parking for a convention, and as we were leaving the lobby we see this little cookie shop tucked in the corner. I am a complete sucker for cookies, obviously we stopped. It was 8pm but the cookies still tasted so fresh and soft! And they were huge. They had like 7-8 different flavors, and I saw a few vegan options too. They're $2.50 a piece, and we happily went back the next day too. Kind of hidden and we would of never thought to go in there unless we had chosen to park in that garage! We were deciding where to go because we wanted dessert. I looked on yelp and saw this place. At the time it was 9:30. I checked the hours and it said it was open till midnight. We hopped in the car knowing it was going to not going close for another 2 hours. We being excited, we drove up at 10 pm. A man came out telling us they were closed. He told us that the hours were wrong because they close at 10 now and they hadn't updated it. We asked him if he had anything at all he could give to us. He responded with a no.
