We were generously hosted here by friends for a birthday celebration! (Sep 2026). The bar and indoor seating felt dark and intimate, yet open enough for our semi-casual get-together. We chose a curved booth among the tables. There's outdoor seating in back, too. The beverage list is creative and fun. We loved the sweet smooth non-alcoholic Classic Espresso Martini. A bourbon-y tart bitter sweet Paper Plane, of bourbon, Aperol, Amaro Nonino Quintessential bitters, and lemon. And a dramatic balanced potent Wild Turkey 101 Smoked Manhattan, presented in a wooden chest full of richly aromatic smoke. We had a sweet non-alcoholic Peachy Keen, lightly smokey and lightly bitter peach, honey, and lemon, with orange bitters. At least five of the regular cocktails have non-alcoholic versions, and their Spirit-Free menu has six more. The appetizers and mains are so deliciously savory! Their Ploughman's Son charcuterie was varied and generous, with sturdy flavorful shaved jamon, a thin-sliced tangy salami, chunks of a dense orange medium-bold cheese, crisp grilled bread, and a deep maroon three-berry jam. We added a luscious pillow of buttery burrata. The vegan Mezze Platter had a spread of simple hummus and chickpeas with lightly roasted tahini dressing. Roasted Beet Salad was pieces of sweet clean red and gold beets with citrus chunks, lightly dressed with white balsamic. And a generous hot cast-iron pan of my Spirit-Vegetable: pork-bellied, sweet-salted sesame-vinaigrette-ed, sriracha-aioli-ed Crispy Brussels Sprouts! I aspire to be cultivated away from bitterness to sweetness, as Brussels sprouts were by Hans van Doorn in the '90s, "first" bacon-y spicy roasted by Momofuku's David Chang around 2004, and called "trendy" by 2012. (Let's see how trendy I am in 20 years :-) From the child's menu, we chose a lightly-mayo-ed grilled-cheese on lightly toasty light bread, with a tall cone of hot crispy, thin fries. We all dove into the fries, which were kindly shared :-). The Braised crumbled-Duck Bolognese was rich with Boursin cheese and parmesan, over long thin very-slurpable capellini-like black-pepper noodles, dressed with a little greenery. Crispy Rockfish was oven-roasted with fresh bright cherry tomatoes, under a light complementary miso beurre blanc. The half-rack of Smoked BBQ Ribs were tenderly grilled to a thin crust of Sagamore Old-Fashioned sauce, perfectly done with just a little bite remaining, the way I strive for at home, with a crunchy side of bright apple-fennel slaw. For the last here, I saved one of the Copper Shark Prime Cuts: Lamb Chops, with lightly-crisped fingerling potatoes, grilled broccolini, and a thin savory Housemade steak sauce. I have to tell you, the chef-recommendation of medium-rare doneness was right on. This was the most tender juicy sweet lamb I have ever tasted. Period. The cream-filled chocolate-sauced profiterole cream-puff with a candle was our birthday cake. The ice-cream espresso affogato was dreamy. The chefs are clearly caring, and dedicated to a delicious dining and drinking experience. The staff is welcoming and professional. We were well taken care of. Tucked into a cluster of shops, this restaurant is easy to find and has plenty of parking. I highly recommend The Copper Shark as something of a splurge destination for excellent dining and good service in an intimate semi-casual setting.

Finally someone came back and cannot find our reservation, I should her my text messages and email to ensure we have a reservation. 3. Sat us downstairs by a high table, and that table was nasty, with sticky drink spills and marks all over, we had to clean it ourself. 4. Because we waited for 20+ minutes no server even came over to greed us...finally we waived someone down and he said he can take our order. 5. We ordered a French toast, seafood omelet, crab cake Benedict, biscuits and gravy & drinks. Drinks came out fairly fast, but we waited forever for the food. 6. I personally was not a big fan of any of the mix drinks there, way tooooo sweet. 7. After the food finally came, they are ok, not bad. 8. Then we decided to order some additional food to take with, ugh.... So regret, cause we waited for almost 30min for the takeouts. 9. Additionally, they ask us to put a credit card down to open a tab as soon as our order was taken, and charge 20% gratuity automatically , but claimed they only charge this to big parties....REALY ? There were 4 people in our party, I never heard of party of 4 was considered a large party. 10. Atmosphere, dive bar vibe, loud not in a good way, uncomfortable dining seatings. Based on our experience from this time, I have to say, sorry, we won't be returning to this place. I do not recommend this place.

My friend said I had to come here. We did. As soon as we stepped out of the Uber the adventure began. The building is so out dated but the entrance door held its charm. Neon lit Edgar portrait reading from a book his Annabel Lee. Complete with a bouquet of flowers. To the right more words of the writer surrounded with a few tables and chairs for those willing to chill in the cold. Inside was no different. Several crows, skulls everything you'd expect. And a well stocked bar. Many writings on the wall, articles, awards, etc all added to the vibe and theme. And of course dimly lit but you could still read the menu. We were guided to the back for our party of 5, in a corner away from everyone else. That made it easy for us to converse as we perused the menu exclaiming this and that of the dreadful names used and deathly ingredients mixed in. It definitely made it more appetizing. After working all day I was ready for a drink and settled on the To Isadore; gin, lavender syrup, lemon squeeze topped with segura cava. That hit the spot. Unfortunately, I had eaten quite a bit on this trip and forced myself to order the Chef Salad. Nothing more to say there. My wife, though, ordered the seafood lasagna. Never had that and it didn't sound like something I could get into. I was wrong. This is Baltimore. The seafood here is astounding. It was delicious and had to take a couple spoon fulls. My friend ordered the double beef patty burger. I was jealous until he offered me a bite. That was really good too, and juicy. If you're looking for an experience and are not too afraid you may want to visit Annabel's. I do recommend it and do insist coming after the sun has been well down.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the hostess. She was very friendly and kind. She politely showed us to our table outside. The ambiance outside was so nice. They had plenty of flowers, and the tables were cute and quaint. Next, the waiter came over and explained the menu to us as we have not been to Johnny's before. He was very friendly however, very soft spoken so it was a bit difficult to hear what he was saying. However, he was very polite and knowledgeable about the menu. Also, the owner came and greeted us at the table and ensured that we did not need anything else so that was cool. The food was decent. Nothing really to brag about. What drew me to Johnny's was the fried oysters. They looked amazing on IG. However, when I received them the portion size was very small and it did not look as appetizing as pictured. However, the seasoning was great. I also ordered the steak and eggs. The steak was perfectly cooked along with the eggs and had great flavor. My friend ordered the pancakes which she enjoyed. I also ordered the bottomless mimosas which were refreshing. Overall, it was a good experience. I am glad I got to try them out. Not sure if I will be back only because of the distance. But if you are in the area check them out. Cheers!

I was warmly greeted at the entrance by Bud. Atmosphere was fun, bustling, lively, enjoyable. Because I was seated at the bar, I ended up in pleasant conversation with neighbors on both sides. A special thanks to Noah, server/bartender/human extraordinaire, who maintained composure - and excellent conversation - despite nonstop orders. A few caveats... Yes, it's a small space. As other reviewers have noted, it's not the ideal spot for a large group. Is it cramped? People do need to squeeze past each other to get around. But it was never uncomfortable at all. Other reviewers have complained about the reservation system. OK, it's slightly old school. Not quite seamless. But I also appreciate that a restaurant not owned or managed by a soulless corporate group needs to allocate resources carefully. To me, emailing for a reservation was such a negligible inconvenience for the pleasure of my meal at Peter's Inn. In exchange, I found a warm and welcoming environment that is not duplicated elsewhere. I can't wait to go back and try something new on the menu.

We ordered drinks, they later said they were out of the non-alcoholic sangria, but we got another drink. The drinks were ok, there was an interesting taste to the lemon drop martini that I couldn't put my finger on. We had to flag the waiter for several things (napkins, plates, forks). He was nice but overwhelmed being the only person for all the tables. The Thai chili wings were amazing but there weren't many wings for $13. We both ordered the catfish meal. The catfish was delish, the greens were ok (needed more salt & vinegar but hot sauce helped). The yams were really good. The macaroni and cheese was not good at all. It had no flavor and no cream/roux. It was literally just melted cheese and noodles. They did say I could have a seat at the bar while I wait but I opted to wait outside. When my friend arrived we were seated promptly. The restaurant itself is super cute and a cozy, intimate atmosphere. It's dimly lit with beautiful little touches throughout, including "ciao" displayed across the ceiling and a really nice sign in the foyer which makes for a great photo op. For the food we decided to share crispy Brussel sprouts and shrimp bruschetta as an appetizer. Then for my main entree I got Pappardelle Genovese which was pappardelle pasta, caramelized onion- braised beef ragú, Gorgonzola cream drizzle, Parmigiano Reggiano and then I got creme brûlée for dessert. For my drink I went with a Shirley temple. The food was super delish. I especially enjoyed the shrimp bruschetta and my pasta dish. They were not stingy with the meat at all. The server added sparklers to our dessert which was a nice touch and wished us a happy birthday. However, because we orders two desserts he informed us that he could only comp one of them as a bday dessert. We weren't expecting either to be comped so that was nice. I think the pricing was decent, two non alcoholic drinks, three appetizers, two entrees and a dessert for $130 (as of 2026). Something worth mentioning is that sending a dish back may not result in the food being comped. My friend had also ordered the polenta al funghi but didn't like the aftertaste. She told the server who said he would get the manager. The manager said the dishes are made to order and the owners don't want food being comped (I'm summarizing). Mind you no one said anything about taking it off the check. It wasn't a big deal but interesting that no resolution was offered . Like she could've suggested to replace with something else. She basically just said she's not taking it off the check and that's it. Didn't ruin the experience for me but worth mentioning in case you're the type to send things back to the kitchen. Overall, good experience and I would return.
