Bob's Automotive Service is a small shop along Allentown Blvd, run with pride for over 40 years,…read moreand the commitment to customer satisfaction certainly shows. I recently moved to the area and had my first car breakdown ever; accelerator stopped working. I had no idea how to get my car to a shop or what could be wrong -- I just needed to be able to commute to work hopefully soon. I tried two other shops before trying Bob's, one where I had to leave a message and they never got back to me, and another where they could only start working on my vehicle two days after it arrived. That wouldn't cut it. I was relieved to have Bob answer the phone, understand my urgency, and even have a tow truck available to pick up my car from my neighborhood lot. I was able to have my insurance arrange the delivery, though, and before the end of the day I had a diagnosis about a battery and alternator swap. The next day, the work was complete, and he offered to pick me up and bring me to his garage to fill out the paperwork. Sure enough, my car rolled up the next morning with Bob in the driver's seat. I'm so thankful to had had his open communication, professional attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for a 20-something with little vehicle expertise. I'm hoping with this car I won't have to reach out because of problems again, but I know exactly who to call when I need something done.

It was always my thermostat which they gratefully replaced and honored the warranty too. But they dug in and did extra homework although my check engine light was NOT on and found KIA modified the thermostat with a restricter because they knew my current setup would throw the cold engine repair code. They are ordering the parts and getting me right back in to do the work asap. I cant say enough great things about these mechanics Have been a customer nearly 2 years and wint get anywhere else!

I've been using this garage mainly for State inspection. Didn't need anything else. They are fair…read moreand seem to be honest. The last time I had a brake job done there was an issue with the dust shield scraping. Brought it back in and they remedied the situation. My only complaint is that they took off my out of state front vanity plate to pass inspection. That was not necessary, as I asked a State police man if that was an issue and he said no, because Pa does not have front license plate. So, I just put it back on. They had some staffing issues due to COVID-19, which screwed things up a bit because I had to take off of work twice for an inspection. That ticked me off a bit. The shop owner said he tried calling me, but I had no missed calls, so....? Oh well, they're right around the corner and convenient. Plus, you can go to Gilligan's for beer & food while your car is being worked on.

Now we took it to another garage and it passed with flying colors & none of the things we were told was wrong. Thank goodness my husband trusted his gut and got a second opinion. I'm deeply saddened that this happened to us and that we had this type of experience. Now we have mixed opinions about if we will return or not. But just beware.

The dealership quoted a pretty high price because they were going to purchase new manufactured parts. My car is old. I called Warner's as they have dealt with my car in the past. Jeff shared that he could do the repairs at half the cost by simply replacing the rear differential with a slightly used differential. I was ok with this because the car has over 135,000 miles on it. He replaced the part which came with a warranty. Unfortunately, the differential he was given was also bad. Jeff honored the warranty and replaced the differential again. I knew that this meant he was doing work on my car on his time and dollar. The second replacement has been working beautifully. My car has not sounded nor run this well in the last 2 years! I will continue to trust Jeff and ask questions of him for all future repairs! Warner Holdings is an upstanding business!
