Another woman stopped to help and referred me to Done Right, saying she trusts them and always takes her car to them. I saw they had good reviews and were close by; I gave them a call and within minutes, Jerry and another employee were at my vehicle, doing everything they could to get me on the road. Even though it was late in the day, Jerry was making calls and adjustments to get the parts and my vehicle into the shop and repaired before they closed just two hours later. My tow couldn't get there in time even with all of their assistance so I had it towed to my destination. If I hadn't had two kids with me, I would've seriously considered waiting until the next day to have him repair it. After all his help, he wouldn't take any payment for his time and efforts. My impression of Done Right from this experience is that they are professional, reliable, knowledgeable (he diagnosed it within minutes), and not only trying to get it "done right" but done quickly even for a customer they know they most likely will never see again. I highly recommend them to anyone in or near the area! Thank you Jerry!!

Came to Forest Hill with my 2020 Subaru Crosstrek after a national chain failed my state inspection…read morefor obviously bogus reasons. As a mechanically competent person who does her most of her own car maintenance at home with years of experience on a military flightline, it was obvious they were trying to squeeze $$ out of me. Here's why you should choose Forest Hill- they don't just TELL you about your vehicle condition through questionable pictures via a "digital health report," they SHOW you. We walked through all the bogus claims from the chain (confirmed passable) and stood together under my car while it was on the lift to look at an actual wheel bearing issue that the chain completely missed. They were able to fix the issue same day at a fraction of the cost the chain quoted me for the non-existent issues - meanwhile I worked peacefully and productively on my laptop in their waiting area. They even let me borrow a car to quickly grab lunch while they worked on my Subaru. Within a few hours, my car was fixed, inspection stickers affixed to my windshield, and I left with peace of mind knowing my car was legal and ready for a long Labor Day weekend road trip. My husband has been taking his Tesla there for years, I should have been doing the same all along. If you want smart, reliable, friendly and trustworthy car care and live anywhere near Red Lion, this is the place.

After years of relying on dealership service for our newer vehicles, I started looking for a…read moretrustworthy independent mechanic--especially as those vehicles aged out of warranty and my teenager began driving some starter cars. Fortunately, a neighbor recommended Main Car Care, and I've now been taking our cars there for years. At this point, I've had seven different vehicles serviced with them, and I couldn't be more satisfied. They're honest, dependable, reasonably priced, and most importantly, they stand behind their work. Scheduling is easy--they keep your vehicle history on file, so when you call, they already have all the relevant information, including notes from previous visits. That continuity makes a huge difference. For example, when my daughter was considering an older Ford Ranger, they took a thorough look at it before we bought it and provided a detailed list of what it would need--both for immediate inspection and for long-term maintenance. After purchasing the truck, we returned to take care of the critical items and worked with them to develop a realistic timeline for the rest over the next year or so, prioritizing based on urgency and safety. Another reason I trust Main Car Care is how they've treated people I care about. I have two female friends from India, both of whom I helped teach to drive and guided through buying their first cars. When I sent them to Main Car Care for service, I had full confidence they'd be treated fairly--and they were. The team explained the needed repairs clearly and respectfully, and the prices were exactly what I would have been charged if I had brought the vehicles in myself. Sadly, that wasn't the case at two other shops in the York area, where my friends were taken advantage of due to their nationality, gender, or inexperience. It was a hard lesson, but one that reinforced just how grateful I am for Main Car Care's integrity. What I appreciate most is their transparency. They're upfront when something is beyond their scope--like certain exhaust work--and they'll recommend a shop that can handle it. I believe they use NAPA parts, which gives me peace of mind about quality and warranty support. While there's usually a 1-2 week wait for routine appointments, they've always made an effort to fit us in quickly when something urgent comes up, at least to assess the situation and help us plan next steps. I truly can't recommend Main Car Care highly enough. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found them when I did--they've saved me and my friends time, money, and stress over the years.
