Ryan and the team at Jump Start Norwood have made such a positive impact on my life over the past 6…read moremonths. I suffered a ruptured triceps exercising and was pretty discouraged with the road to recovery. I have a job in manual labor and was expecting another child shortly and definitely needed my arm to be functioning ASAP. The environment at Jump Start was so positive and encouraging in my road to recovery that it totally flipped my attitude towards the injury. I am now back to work and was able to hold my son the second he was born. I can't thank them enough.

I would 10000000% recommend this place to anyone and everyone who is looking for a Physical Therapy…read moreplace. After a year and a half and two major surgeries Jumpstart became my second home (in the best way possible). Everyone is so extremely nice and really treats you as part of their family. They truly care about there patients and want you to get back to your sport and yourself quickly cheering you on every step of the way! Never once was I handed off to an aide I always got direct 1 on 1 treatment. Now I am back to skiing after 5+ years of not being able to and my pain is completely gone, none of which would be possible without jumpstart! I am forever grateful to have found this amazing place! I hope to never be injured again but without a doubt I would choose jumpstart if I did. You will NOT be making a mistake if you go here. Thank you Jumpstart for everything you did for me!

Anne is a true healer. I have been to many physical therapists that were good but approached me…read morelike a problem to fix. Anne treats people like a person rather than a symptom. She wants to heal people and make them better for the long run. She gives holistic advice not just on exercises but on healthy eating, vitamins, and ergonomics to help with your overall physical well being which contributes to how well your muscles work. She also has a warm calming demeanor which always relaxed my stress and nerves after my visit. She has two great machines in addition to the typical physical exercises that PT's work on with patients, that made all the difference. One is an instrument she uses with a warm gel that massages the tight areas that are causing pain. The other is a laser, it does cold laser therapy, and is a miracle. It honestly has made all my pain go away, in all different parts of my body, and in a very short time. She helps me with daily aches and pains but most importantly she helped me get back to 100% after spinal surgery. See Anne, she will change your life.

Anne performed laser therapy on my complaint, as well as recommended rehab exercises and lifestyle advice. I am extremely pleased with the results achieved with Anne and I am able to continue my workout regime without any issues. Thanks Anne! Highly recommended.

I have had physical therapy a number of times through the past 30 years and SPTA is by far the best…read morePT clinic I have been treated at. The PT's and PTA's are knowledgeable, friendly and help you through the whole process from beginning to end. It's a fun place to be if you're going to be spending a lot of time on a weekly basis for a number of months. I look forward to my appointments and always feel like I've accomplished something when I leave.

i've been going to see carl gustafson and his coworkers at sports & physical therapy associates in…read morewellesley for just about 15 months now. i showed up as a patient somewhat desperate, having 'failed' two physical therapy attempts at improving my dominant-arm rotator cuff injury and bilateral patello-femoral syndrome (chondromalacia.) i'm a 50+ year-old physician, very active and determined to get better from my injuries, and the almost 18 months of chronic pain and dysfunction with which i presented to carl was starting to depress me. carl began by sitting with me, asking questions, listening, and then gave me a thorough exam. he began with exercises FULLY explained to me. i mean, he literally walked me through each and every machine, commenting on my posture and technique. we started out in baby steps - one-pound weights, or sometimes no weights at all. i was scared. i'd already been living in chronic pain, was unable to dress with two arms, or make my bed, or wash my hair, or walk even a mile without pain ... this didn't dissuade him. i listened to what he said and, literally, followed him to the "t" - i still to this day recall his words from the very beginning. that was 15 months ago, and i am sooo much better. i've wondered .... what did he do that was different?? the other physical therapists i saw seemed to be fine therapists. but, BUT, carl has both the anatomic expertise AND facilities of a fully equipped gym. it's not just a bunch of weights and stretch bands. when you show up at his facility, you begin with a 10- to 15-minute warm up with heating pads and a massage. then, someone walks you through your entire routine, where you are taught - over and over, however long it takes to 'get' it - how to position yourself properly for each and every machine. you are gradually progressed, and taught how and what to do if you do well on your own, or what to do if you don't do well and you have pain. then you end by electrical stimulation of the injured parts, and someone makes sure that if you have more questions, they'll be answered. i can't convey how indebted i am to carl and his co-workers. i've recovered my strength, my function, and my peace of mind. seriously. i love this place - i don't want to stop going until i can hike the appalachian trail and cycle another century ride! i can't say enough about how fabulous this therapy business is - i don't even know how i could offer to improve the service you get here. it's just superb. don't waste your time elsewhere, this is the place to be.
